This book feels like a mansplaining guide for depression and getting through life. I appreciate how honest and full of personality this book is. I felt as though the author was writing a passionate blog on what we are doing wrong in life and how our emotions are all caused by ourselves and that by following his magic 12 step process we too, can be cured of ailments. I believe that his research is heavily based on biased articles that aren't completely factual. I am certain there is a target audience for this book but they are likely people who are willing to cut out antibiotics, etc..

I found this book a very frustrating read. It jumps all over the place with lots of little asides from the author that annoyed me after a while. I stuck with it hoping to learn something new from it, I didn't like the writing style and would not recommend it.
