A tight mystery set in a hotel on the moon. A total Locked Room Mystery.
While I enjoyed the book for the most part, it dragged a bit in the middle. A few of the characters melded together and there were only a few standout characters. The audiobook narration was perfectly paced, proper articulated and created a picture as perfect as reading a physical book.
I also wish that the setting of being on the moon would've been used a lot more.
Still a quick read with tension and suspense.
Thank you so much for letting me listen to this audiobook. This is like one of those escape games and a who among us is a Killer crime story. Only there is no getting out because you are on the moon.
A fantastic sounding blurb – murder in a locked room, based in a luxurious hotel on the moon. Ten strangers won a trip of a lifetime, but as soon as they arrive, things do not seem quite right. The staff are nowhere to be seen, then one of the guests is murdered. With no one else on board, the question is who is the murderer.
However, I found the whole plot rather untrue, no mention of the effects of gravity. The whole setting was implausible, it would have been more believable not being set in space., perhaps an isolated island.
The ultimate locked room mystery. A five star hotel on Moon. Ten lucky winners are the first guests. Strangely there's no staff. And then the murders started.
Unfortunately the author didn't make full use of the setting; there's no evil AI, no low gravity related problems. Why not set it on a remote island? And how did they ship all the luxury stuff to the Moon?
All characters sounded very similar, kudos to the narrator for giving each of them individual voices.
