David has befriended a dragon and practices flying with him every day in the hopes of joining the Dragon Flyers Team. In this action-packed series, David and his friends encounter new and exciting challenges with each mission. This book is a little light on character development and world building, but could be just right for an elementary reader who loves fantasy-adventure.
This middle grade dragon rider fantasy is on fire! This is a must read series and this collection has books 1-3 in it. I Loved this!! It was a wonderful book to read and seriously get pulled into the story and not realize the time. It was perfect! I can't wait to read the rest of the books! And perfect for you to read to your kids after that Fourth Wing hangover.
I just reviewed The Dragon Flyers Series by Cynthia Star. #TheDragonFlyersSeries #NetGalley

Unfortunately, I could not finish this book. While the chapters were short, and the illustrations were great, the book is largely dialogue. It’s all tell, and no show. I think this is an excellent start for a book, but needs much more work.
HOWEVER - my eight year old son read this while we were waiting for a tow truck , and he enjoyed it. He loves books about dragons, and he found this one interesting.
The Dragon Flyers Series by Cynthia Star is chock-full of adventure, friendships, acceptance, overcoming fear, and today's extremely popular dragons. David badly wants to become a Dragon Flyer like his friends Joe and Calli, part of the secret world known only to those who believe in dragons. David believes in dragons, but more is needed; there are tests to pass, showing his knowledge of dragons and the elite Dragon Flyers.
The Dragon Flyers face perilous quests, fighting evil dragons, giants, and their nemeses, the Night Riders. The second and third books build on the storyline of the previous book, so the books are best read in order. The books are delectably imaginative. Each dragon is unique, with different colors and powers, and each world visited is singular in its stunning flora and fauna. The Dragon Flyers present models of friendship, loyalty, bravery, and acceptance.
These are entertaining books for any age. I am a grandmother but liked this series so much that I bought Book 4 to find out what happened next to the Dragon Flyers! Buy them for your child, then read them yourself. Or read them with your child for more pleasure!
Thank you to NetGalley and Cynthia Star Books for the ARC of this series.
My daughter stole my Kindle with this e-book from me and read all of the first three books in this series in only one day! She and I both agreed that this is a 4-star read. She loved the adventures and the suspense in the stories. However, she did not enjoy that it ended with a cliffhanger. But that tactic worked, as she definitely wants to read the fourth installment in the series asap!
I didn't get the chance to read these books. My two youngest grandchildren hijacked my kindle to read them by themselves only resurfacing when they were hungry and for toilet breaks. I have never seen them so quiet ( apart from the reading out loud to each other). Apparently the books were-
Brilliant, exciting, scary ( just a bit) and a bit like puppy patrol but much better and with extra dragons and bad people. They wanted to give the books 9 stars !
I will read them myself when I get the chance.
A gem that will captivate readers of all ages. Whether you're a young adventurer craving excitement or an adult looking for an engaging and imaginative escape, this series will keep you hooked from beginning to end.
An action-packed adventure that will capture the hearts of both young and adult readers. Join David, Joe, and Calli as they embark on a thrilling journey in the secret world of The Dragon Flyers. As David strives to become a member of the elite flying team, he must face tests, challenges, and the menacing Night Riders.
The series unfolds with pulsating action, vivid imagery, and imaginative storytelling. Each book takes readers on a new mission where David and his companions encounter unforeseen dangers and must tap into their inner strength to defeat their foes.
