I really struggled to read this book and did not finish it. The book is filled with an overload of description, and failed to pull me in.

This book was a bit slow for me with ALOT of information which made it confusing for me to stay into it. I found that sometimes i would skim through certain parts to still be able to follow along with the story. Other than that the story was amazing . It is the type of storyline i look for in a fantasy i just think it could have still made sense with less information. However i am still going give the second book a shot !

Amazing plot . I came across this author through netgalley. It was slow at first then as you get into the plot is becomes interesting. The ending left me wanting for more. I then checked on fantasticfiction when the next part is releasing no news. Don't leave us like that. I wanna know what happens to Kira who did this to her. In all was a good read please complete the other books as well

Book Review 📚
Dreams Of Darkness and Desire by B.L Cagle - 4/5 ⭐

I went through the entire book questioning whether or not it was a dream or actually happening? There's so much make believe mixed with real life I couldn't figure it out. Granted it becomes confusing but isn't that part of the fun? Don't want it all handed to you on a plate.

The characters in the book are amazing. They were brought to life in my imagination thanks to the successful writing of Cagle. Blake and Larz are my absolute favourite duo. They work together so well. The characters help pull you into the book along with the story. It definitely worked really well and I was enthralled by the plot.

There was some serious question as to whether I wanted to trust the characters, I just didn't know who or what to believe. But that made the book for me, it kept me wanting to read more and more. After how it ended, I'm patiently counting down the days to get my hands on book 2!

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.

I liked the premise of the book but found myself really bogged down in the middle. There were moments where the dialogue felt disjointed and clunky. I did not wind up finishing this book.

I’ll start by saying dark romance is not my usual go to genre, but this piqued my interest and I love a good witchy read so I decided to give it a whirl.

Overview 3.5⭐️
Kira, is a fairly normal college student living a seemingly mundane life. Until she starts experiencing all too real nightmares causing anxiety and sleepless nights. She’s a master at hiding her emotions and pretending everything is under control, until one night she meets a familiar stranger who excites but also terrifies her. From this point on she’s caught between the chaos of her dreams and her grip on reality.

Enter Blake, a centuries-old warlock on the hunt for the Supra Virtutem whose sacrifice promises immortality. When Kira and Blake’s paths intertwine she recognizes his “icy blue eyes” as those of the man in her dreams and he becomes real.

Kira is unknowingly the Supra Virtutem Blake has been searching for. Blake inserts himself into her life and dreams to set his plan in motion. What he doesn’t realize is that it’s not just her power that makes her irresistible to him.

This book got a little slow for me in the middle, but by the end I was glad to have read it and happy to know the second book was already available to jump into! Some scenes felt a little repetitive and I think the story would’ve had better pacing with those removed. That said, it’s not my normal read so maybe it’s just me. If you enjoy romance, witches & warlocks, and a surprise twist you’ll enjoy Dreams of Darkness and Desire!

Thank you for my earc of this. Unfortunately I didn’t finish this book. I think the premise is brilliant and I loved the sound of it, but I felt myself pulled out of the story too much by its clear need for another edit. Some of the wording didn’t feel right and I for that I couldn’t fully get into the story. I think this could be brilliant though!
