Self re-creation
For fans of self-improvement, seekers of inner peace, and those whose vague yearning for a life of 'something more' has reached critical mass. Here, in a somewhat rambling, freshly unpolished, and honestly self-revealing book, is one man's answer to the questions that such readers may not yet be asking, The author documents his journey from a typical unfulfilling life to a state of being grounded in authenticity, personal agency, and a willingness to remain open to course correction as needed. This is far from a 'how-to' manual. There is no recipe. No set of directions, numbered steps, etc. It is more of an inner travelogue, a description of one man's road less traveled, with the accompanying encouragement to follow one's own personal version of the path. Reading this requires patience and the willingness to be lead. I enjoyed the book; and though I did not intentionally embark on a life-transformation, I found meaning in its invitation to examine and alter aspects of my own life. It's not an easy read, but it is well worth the time and effort to do so - such is my voluntary and independent opinion of this ARC copy provided by NetGalley.
