3.75 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the E-ARC. I may not always read on time but I will always love me some Camilla Isley story. Samantha gets sent to a God forsaken town to get the movie production back on track cue the music enter Travis (MMC). This is a quick read with lots of banter some sexy kisses and lots of closed doors but you feel all the sexyness ooze thru the pages no need to worry. I love how they characters have a problem but there is not always a third act break-up and sometimes that is so refreshing to read. Cant wait to read more by Camilla whether its her backlog or new books.

I really enjoyed this romance and it kind of took me by surprise. It was fast paced and got right into the story which I appreciated. It wasn’t a complicated book and had a more fluffy feel to it which was nice in between reading heavier fantasy books. The timeline did confuse me at times because it was written in multiple chapters how the FMC was surprised a full month had passed/that she’d been in this town a month already. As a reader this didn’t add up because it made it seem like time was passing (as things do when a book goes day to day) and yet time never moved forward? And then suddenly the second month was up and she was leaving, so this part wasn’t done very well and did take me out of the story. The only other thing that I didn’t really care for is how both of them expressed to each other that they loved NYC and missed it, and liked the career they did while there. But the only reason Travis couldn’t move was due to his mother (which I get is valid but also not if he is unhappy/putting aside a chance at a happy life). I liked the two main characters a lot and how they didn’t get along at first and then how the banter turned to flirting. I was satisfied by the end with how they solved their distance relationship problem but did kind of hope it turned out differently.
I received a digital copy from NetGalley & the author of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Camilla Isley's Love to Hate You is a delightful romantic comedy that offers readers a playful escape into the age-old trope of opposites attracting—city girl meets country boy—with a modern and witty twist.
Samantha Baker, a latte-loving, fast-talking city girl and Hollywood producer, finds herself banished to the countryside to manage a small film set. It’s a classic fish-out-of-water scenario that sets the stage for sparks to fly when she meets the ruggedly handsome, no-nonsense cowboy, Jake. Predictably, their interactions begin with bickering and mutual disdain, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. Samantha's sharp wit and Jake's gruff charm make their banter both entertaining and endearing, even as they resist the inevitable pull of attraction.
The book excels in humor, with Samantha's sarcastic inner monologue and the escalating prank war between her and Jake providing plenty of laughs. Isley's snappy dialogue and knack for writing dynamic, likable characters keep the story engaging. Samantha’s journey from a life of city comfort to navigating the countryside’s quirks is filled with amusing mishaps and tender moments.
However, the plot occasionally feels predictable, following a familiar rom-com formula. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing—it’s comforting for fans of the genre—it does mean the story lacks the element of surprise. Additionally, some emotional beats between the leads could have been explored more deeply to give their romance a stronger foundation beyond physical attraction and witty repartee.
Overall, Love to Hate You is an enjoyable, lighthearted read that’s perfect for fans of feel-good romances with a touch of humor. While it might not reinvent the genre, it delivers exactly what it promises: a fun, breezy enemies-to-lovers romp. For readers who appreciate quick-witted heroines, rugged cowboys, and the charm of opposites clashing (and eventually colliding), this one’s worth a spot on your reading list.

3.5 ⭐️
Let's be real. The stars of this book are fluffy and hildi. I love the little plot of the animals being obsessed with her.
Samantha is a woman who knows her own mind, and I enjoyed seeing her grow and adapt to her surroundings but also keep a lot of herself. A lot of these fish out of water situations end in them changing completely, and I like that she doesn't.
Travis makes a great love interest. He's sexy and he clearly cares about not only our MC and his mother but all the people in his town.
The romance was sweet, and i feel like they got together at the right moment. Thank God for no third act breakup, either. I loved that we got to see all the effort they put in to make their relationship work long distance.
That being said, they go from dislike to sexual attraction and then jump straight to love very quickly. Their relationship seemed to accelerate after their first sexual encounter into them acting like they're in a relationship straight away. But the book is short, and I often find that has an effect on the speed the relationship moves at.
Overall, I enjoyed it. It's an easy read of you want something cute and fast-paced.
I received an advance review copy of this book, and this review represents my honest opinion. Thank you to netgalley, the author, and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

A cowboy romance is all my heart needs and wants. This book delivered what I wanted it to. I was drawn into the romance and really rooting for Samantha and Travis as city girl meets country boy. It is a cute read and perfect for the summer, all the small town vibes you could ever wish for.

This was a fun read and one that will bring me back to this author again. I loved the dynamic Between Samantha and Travis, nothing like a City Girl in the Country to bring out the humor of different ways to experiencing the world. I will be back for more by Isley because this book had everything that I am looking for in a fun read...humor and giggle moments, steamy leads, and best of all an escape from my everyday life.
Thank you Goodwood and Net Galley for the ARC

A massive thank you to the publisher and netgalley for my copy of this e-arc!
I really enjoyed this! The FMC and the MMC were perfect for each other. I loved how they fell for each other and that there was no 3rd act break up, they handled the situation like proper adults and tried to come up with a good solution to their problem

This was such a cute small town romance! II really enjoyed the enemies to lovers aspect of the book. It helped a lot with the banter and the chemistry the MCs had. If you are looking for an easy and quick read this is your book.

I had to DNF this book as it was too over the top for me. I couldn't get into the story, and wasn't motivated to keep reading.

Love to Hate You - Camilla Isley
I am very late to the Camilla Isley party but I can say that I will be returning. This was a very easy read, and flowed really well. I liked the chemistry between Samantha and Travis, and enjoyed their story unfolding. Samantha is a city girl through and through and seeing her in this setting was very humorous. Thanks so much Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this e-arc in return for me honest thoughts and opinions.

The story was cute, the Indiana references were sub-par. Once I told my brain to pretend they weren’t in Indiana, I really liked this story. It was cute, small town romance fare - local boy falls for city girl. Would make a really great Hallmark movie.

A classic big city girl meets small town man book but well written. Travis was such a fun character with Hidli the goat coming a close second for me. It was hard to like Sam at first due to her attitude but I can also somewhat understand why she would feel the way she did. Seeing Samantha trying to adjust to temporary life in Indiana, when she is used to the hustle and bustle of New York was well written and made you feel part of the story. The end did however feel rushed to me personally. I do not usually read fade to black stories but gave this one a try.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Samantha and Travis. Samantha works for movie studios. Travis is the mayor and a lawyer. Samantha comes to Travis’ town to produce a movie. There is an instant attraction. They bicker a lot till they kiss. They start dating. They are on a time crunch when Samantha leaves town. They come up with an idea that will permanently move Samantha to Travis’ town. They fall in love.

Loved reading this book and series. If you haven't read it read. I highly recommend her and her books

This cover is FIRE and would have drawn me in on its own if I didn't already know I wanted it since it's Camilla Isley. I love all her books and this one definitely did not disappoint!

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for the opportunity to receive an ARC of Love To Hate You by Camilla Isley.
I loved this cute little small town romance. It was done so well as to not seem too cheesy and just felt like pure, quick entertainment. It was giving Hannah Montana movie and I liveeeee for that.
It's very rare for me to say this but I actually think this book could have been longer! I felt like the enemies to lovers vibe just turned way too quickly, and it wasn't so believable because it literally shifted so fast it gave me some trope whiplash.
Regardless of the strange pacing, I still really enjoyed this story and would recommend it!
4 stars!

What a lovely romance with Samantha and Travis getting their will they won’t they and what if story loved the characters and the settings. Another great book from Camilla Isley can’t wait to read the next one.

Camilla Isley books are always a cute, fun time! Just enough fluff to be a light read but also a cute plot with some laughs and swoons!

Such a cute romance! I loved the cowboys element. These authors books have always been a hit for me and I highly recommend her to all my friends and peers ‘

In this delightful romance, New Yorker Samantha Baker faces an unwelcome assignment in small-town Indiana to resolve issues on a rom-com set. Despite initial clashes with cowboy Travis Hunt, sparks fly between them. Samantha's city attitude and Travis's rural charm create a dynamic enemies-to-lovers trope, revealing their surprising compatibility. The characters, Samantha's feisty independence and Travis's versatility, contribute to the story's charm. The predictable yet enjoyable plot unfolds with teasing and tormenting between the protagonists, adding spice to the narrative. The reader experiences the fun of anticipating events before the characters do, creating a satisfying and heartwarming romantic tale. The book successfully combines elements of romance, humor, and character development, making it a recommended read for those seeking a feel-good love story with a touch of spice.
