Sam was a city girl through and through, until she wasn't. Well that's not exactly true... she still loved the city, but she grew to love the hearts she encountered in this backwoods little town in nowhere Indiana. The fresh air, and room to spare, didn't do much for her, but the horned little farm helper, and their Fluffy companion driveline stole hearts, along with a particular man that wore many hats...
Travis was a small town life man through and through only he wasn't once upon a time. He had a past that had him in the city, but that past also held hardship and heartache that he doesn't wish to fall into again. Good thing he's enemy number one to Sam reaching her professional goals, so there's no chance his heart will become part of the equation. Right? I mean, there's only so far a great pair of legs, a killer figure, a brilliant mind, and a kind heart will get you...but then again the fact that he notices all of this and loves antagonizing the woman it's all a part of, he's in trouble.
Together they shouldn't work, but the sparks that fly when they are could start their own wildfire if left to burn unchecked. Good thing they are both too responsible to let that happen, so whatever it takes to gain control...a hot moment kiss, a roll in the hay (quite literally), a night under the stars... is something they are totally in support of. For the good of the town, the movie production, the...oh heck, for their own hearts!
A great romcom escape for fans of the genre, and a wonderful way for new readers to discover an author who oblivious loves her work.

I wasn't expecting this book to be closed-door and I really dislike when books do that. I wish there had been a disclaimer in the description somewhere. However, the plot was good and so was the tension between the two love interests. I'm from Indiana, so it was fun to read a book also set in Indiana.

This book embarks readers on a charming journey of self-discovery and love's boundless magic. Samantha's move from bustling NYC to tranquil Emerald Creek sparks a delightful fish-out-of-water romance with cowboy Travis. Witty exchanges, fiery debates, and undeniable chemistry shape their evolving relationship, while the supporting cast adds charm to Emerald Creek's community spirit. Amid laughter and romantic tension, the narrative explores personal growth and the transformative power of love. Camilla Isley's writing, blending humor and heart, creates a delightful escape into a world where unexpected love blooms. Fade-to-black romance that provides lighthearted fun.

I enjoyed this sweet, simple romance! City to country story. Took a bit to get into, but I ended up enjoying it quite well!

This is a perfect small town, opposites attract, enemies to lovers story.
The banter was perfection, the slow burn so consuming and the chemistry off the charts.
I loved also the cute pets. The entire cast of characters was spectacular...
Highly recommended...

Just finished “Love to Hate You” by Camilla Isley and it was so good! The female lead is Samantha Baker, strong, successful Movie Producer working and living in NYC gets called into her bosses office and told she needs to pack up and move to a small town in Indiana for the foreseeable future as the movie is off the rails and she needs to get it back on track.
She meets Travis Hunt on her way to the AirBnb she’ll call home and she realizes how very much she misses NYC and wants to get this movie back on track quickly.
Travis Hunt turns out to be the Mayor and the main reason for the delay. A simmering sexual attraction begins between these two but they focus on their love/hate bantering.
From here the story goes on some unexpected twists and turns and Samantha is in for the ride of her life!
Do they give in to the sexual attraction? Can they get past the love/hate banter to see what might be?
No spoilers here but it’s a great read! Love, love, loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was beyond excited to read this book. I loved the cover and I have gotten into a cowboy/western Era. But I could not connect with the girl main character all she does is complain. Being from the Midwest there isn't much out there but it's still really pretty even with the country. I hate that she is all about the city and New York. I get that is where she came from but it's like make the most of your new journey in Indiana. With that being said this book wasn't for me since I couldn't connect with the main character. I hope everyone else enjoys it. This review will only be posted on netgalley. Thank you to the author, the publisher, and netgalley for allowing me to read this book as an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Samantha loves living in New York. So when she is sent to the tiny town of Emerald Creek to oversee one of her companies movies, she can’t even imagine how she’ll last three months.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ready to solve all the problems the movie seems to be having, she goes to see the town mayor to find out what the hold up is. When it turns out the town mayor is none other than the devastatingly handsome cowboy she met on her first day in Emerald Creek.
A love hate relationship begins and she can’t help but be drawn to Travis, who it turns out is nicer than he first seems. But could the city loving Samantha see herself anywhere other than her beloved New York when things start to get serious between them?
I’m such a fan of an enemies to lovers trope but I would have liked a little more enemy from this one. And the reason I only went for three stars is that I felt the story was a bit short. Other then that a great romance!
Thank you Netgalley, Camilla Isley and Boldwood Books for another great advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Love to Hate You is a small town Hallmark style romance where the female lead is a New York City businesswoman and the male lead is a small town cowboy. It is a closed door romance and very tame but its also a fun and quick read. I enjoyed the book and I enjoy Camilia Isley as a writer, she is an accessible author that can appeal to a wide range of audiences. I loved Travis, he is a great guy and a good lead. I did not entirely love some of the lack of compromise between the two at the end, but it had a satisfying ending for sure.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and Camilla Isley for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
This was another enjoyable story by Camilla. This one was a lovely small town romance. I loved the bond between Samantha and the cats.
There were lots of funny moments and overall I really enjoyed this!

I’ve really enjoyed reading this book. This was a fun small town, enemies to lovers, opposites romance, fish out of water romance. I loved the banter between Sam and Travis. You could feel the chemistry sizzling between them when they first met and I loved how they wound each other up and butted heads. There were some really funny, laugh out loud moments throughout.
Overall this was a quick, easy and heartwarming read that I absolutely flew through. Even though it’s part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone.

Camilla Isley is long on banter and short on sex and this is no different. Great banter btn the 2 characters, but the fade to black is so frustrating, I don’t love a big city girl who falls for a small town dude, it presses too many of my buttons when she suddenly decides she really never loved the city. That drove me crazy,

Camilla Isley is such a talented romance writer - she keeps it spicy even though it’s always closed door. I think this one was my favourite of hers - the chemistry between Samatha and Travis was on fire. It’s also a lovely story about finding the right priorities in life.
Lots to love:
- small town romance
- fish out of water
- enemies to lovers
- forced proximity
- swoony mayor MMC and movie producer FMC

Samantha has gone country...to produce a movie set in the country that is. The mayor of Emerald Creek, Travis, is not happy about dealing with Samantha, just like she isn't happy with being out in the country. The two fight constantly, until sparks start flying.
This is the fourth book in a series by Isley. All of the books are fabulous and this is no exception. The banter is witty and the chemistry is sizzling, which are two of my top factors to look for in a romantic comedy. Samantha stays with Travis's family during the movie production and they are great characters. They are part of what really makes me enjoy Emerald Creek. If there is a great town in a book and you end up feeling like it's home, then you know the author did a fabulous job with that aspect. It was meant to mean something to the characters and the reader.
Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another brilliant read of camellias book. Her writing style is so fun and enjoyable and this book was just full of everything you want.

Camilla Isley has done it again! Love to Hate You is a fabulous romantic read, filled with entertaining characters, witty banter, and 12 out of 10 chemistry. It gave me all the feels (as the kids would say) and while this book is a part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I read it as a standalone, so you know I’m not pulling your leg.
Meet Samatha. She’s a city girl and is extremely irritated when her boss sees her to the set of their latest romantic comedy, because it’s in the small town of Emerald Creek, Indiana. Problems arose that halted shooting, so she’s needed as soon as possible. As she’s making her way from the airport to her accommodations, a cow is stuck in the middle of the road. Meet Travis. He’s a cowboy, who while out for a ride one day, sees a cow standing in the middle of the road and a woman trying to make the animal move. He decides to help her out, and is utterly amused with this woman from the city. Will he ever see her again?
I related to Samantha so hard. I was a city girl who moved to the country and met my husband, so I stayed in the country. I was a fish out of water, and instead of a cow, there was a family of deer in the middle of the road on my first journey. They also did not want to move, and my Dad got a big kick out of my phone call at one in the morning. He also got a kick out of the phone call I made complaining that the entire town smelt like manure. My Dad was a countryman just like my husband is, so I’m getting better, but I still am learning. Clearly, Isley penned a terrific tale that I devoured and was unable to put down. This story is a light yet romantic read that will bring you joy, I highly recommend!

This was such a cute, fun small town romance and I had a great time. If you have also succumbed to the cowboy trend, be sure to add love to hate you to your TBR.
Read for:
- City girl x Country boy (Cowboy)
- Enemies to Lovers
- Closed Door Romance
- Movie Set setting
-- 3.5/5 stars!

I absolutely loved this small-town, enemies-to-lovers romance; which brings together pretty much everything I love in a story. Samantha is my absolute favourite type of character - independent, feisty, career-driven and totally kick-ass. I also love anything featuring film making, so right from the beginning I was hooked on the story and invested in the characters; devouring most of the book in a single sitting. This story is romantic escapism at its best; delivering a tale with great chemistry, first class banter and a cast of entertaining characters. I would recommend this book to those wanting to read a lighthearted Romcom which leaves you with a smile on your face. Many thanks to NetGallery and Boldwood Books for allowing me to get a copy of the book - highly recommended.

Isley's latest enemies-to-lovers tale of Sam and Travis couldn't have been a better weekend treat than her previous work. Which was an utter delight too.
