A super cute romantic comedy.. I really enjoyed it! Sass and steam, love and laughs.. Adorable, fun-loving characters!

This was a very cute romcom. I enjoyed the progression of the main characters throughout. The pacing was great, the switch between “enemies to lovers” was perfectly timed. I have to say I really enjoyed this romance.

The main characters had great chemistry, great humour and banter. I do think that there could have been more character development with the side characters but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.

Cowboy, slow burn romance and set in a small town can’t go wrong.

Another fabulous summer read from this author! Let’s just say, the cowboy was super hot and the sexual tension was sizzling! The main characters were great, Travis’ Mum was brilliant and I find myself needing a goat! I loved the storyline and the setting and smiled at the appearance of a certain airport bartender!

This was a really quick, and such an enjoyable read! I love the trope of city girl in a small town kind of vibe. The book felt like it was such a good pace storyline wise, but to me the ending did seem a little bit rushed, but not too rushed. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this

This is the seventh book in a series, but I went into it without reading any of the others and did not feel lost at all. This is your classic city girl meets country boy/enemies to lovers story, feelings are had and then what happens? I really enjoyed the banter in this book. There was great chemistry between the two main characters and the angst was perfect. I only wish that there had been a bit more spice. The kissing scenes would be hot and then it fade to black. I also thought that the ending was a little abrupt after all of the buildup.

Meet Samantha Baker- producer for the movie Love to Hate you. Hotshot in NYC. Proud of her wardrobe and especially her shoes. Everything about her screams city girl through and through. When the production for her movie gets significantly delayed she is sent to a teeny tiny town in Indiana to get everything back on track.

Enter Travis Hunt(AKA Teddy, AKA Mr. Mayor). He is the mayor of the town and is holding up signing some permits without getting a little bit more out of the studio like helping their town get cleaned up. Samantha is immediately irritated by him and all of his hostage taking of her production. But the more she is around him (which is a lot seeing as she is staying at his mom's B&B that he ends up moving into), she realizes there are way more layers than she realizes. He used to be a hot shot lawyer in NYC. He has a really big heart for his family and his town, and he is a DAMN good kisser.

One thing leads to another and they decide to venture into a relationship to see where this thing goes. Even though they know there is an expiration date on how long Samantha is in town. The time is flying by and the question remains will they make it?

Overall this was a short, enjoyable read that I would recommend if you are looking for a city girl gone country theme. Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! I hope you all enjoy.

This book is offensive to small town america. I think the way the small town is portrayed wasn't great. One of the opening scenes is with travis roping a cow and saying 'yew haw'. Come on.
I think that this book had a lot of potential because Samantha seemed like a serious business woman and she moved to Emerald Creek to produce a movie, but as soon as travis came on the scene the movie plot was almost forgotten about. The chapters were filled with them kissing, or thinking about kissing.
I will say I did enjoy that this book didn't have spice in it, per se. There was so much talk of sex and they acted like they were going at it every night, so thank goodness there weren't any details. Also sexual tension with the lake scene? Sam said in the beginning of the book she likes skinny guys, not guys like Travis. Where did that come from?
I enjoyed that they were set up with travis stalling the movie, but they moved past that too quickly in my opinion.
This book is a very quick read (Less than 300 pages) but unfortunately it was not for me. I would however recommend it to someone who wants a really quick and quirky small town read.

This was cute. It was a very run-of-the-mill romance, but I still enjoyed it. If you like light easy romance reads I would suggest this one.

If you’re looking for a super cute YA romance story, this is it! Small town- enemies to lovers, country man and city girl come together and these polar opposites couldn’t be more perfect!

Samantha is a city girl from New York who gets sent to a small town in Indianapolis to help get her filming team back on track after being delayed. Turns out the main reason that’s being stalled is because of the town Mayer, Travis. Full on country boy with also a city heart, puts her through the wringer, but slowly bond.

The playful banter and the flirting that these two do is adorable. I will say travis’ character is a bit cliche (in what you normally think of with a cowboy) but I loved it! It’s exactly what I expected and wanted out of him. And Sam’s character really surprised me at the end! Really enjoyed! Overall, I would give a 3.75 ⭐️. I probably would have ranked this one higher if it had more spice, but considering it’s a YA book I would give it a 4.5 ⭐️

3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️’s

Love to Hate You follows Samantha out into the country to save the movie she is producing. Pretty soon she meets Travis, who is no stranger to the city life and enjoys teasing Samantha over her stereotypical lifestyle.

This was a cute read! I enjoyed watching Samantha and Travis banter with each other and there were many adorable moments between them. However, I found it hard to relate and have a sense of liking towards Samantha. I felt like I only knew her on a basic level; how she likes her coffee, how many shoes she owns, etc. I wish I could’ve gotten to known her better. Because of this I wasn’t truly able to get lost in the story. I kept being reminded that this was very obviously an unreal character who I could not imagine standing in-front of me.

Overall, Samantha and Travis’ love story was easy enough to follow with amusing tropes. It was lighthearted and delivered a satisfying ending. Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this arc in return for an honest review. <3

First thought: I loved this one! Such a cute story about two worlds colliding and how love can shine through.

Samantha is your big city loving, executive level movie producer diva. She loves NYC and can’t imagine anywhere else in the world she ever want to live. Then her boss calls her in and tells he needs her onset for the next 3 months because her production is behind schedule and budget. Worst of all the set is in the middle of nowhere in Indiana, where is a girl to even find a vanilla soy latte! What could make matters worst is she gets there and she has to deal with the Mayor and man he’s the worst.

Travis is the town’s most eligible bachelor, he moved back from a high profile lawyer position to help his mom take care of the farm after his dad passed. Now he’s the mayor and the major heartthrob of the ladies. He has no interest in any of the local girls but a big production is in town and it’s becoming great for the community. He purposely holds permits and causes disruptions to get the attention of the higher ups so they will send someone out he can negotiate some positives for the town with. Little does he know they send out a gorgeous executive that makes him heart skip a beat!

Tropes you’ll find:
- Small Town
- Scheming
- Fun Banter
- Cowboy Romance
- Closed Door

This one is told in singular POV which I don’t always love but it was so well written you still got insight through mannerisms and actions from Travis on how he felt. It has hallmark movie written all over it and I’m 100% on board to watch this the second it comes out.

If you like a cute read run and add to your TBR now!

What a fun, lighthearted summer read!!

Samantha Baker is a New Yorker through and through. She thrives on the city, fancy coffee, and pretty shoes. She’s a movie producer who ends up being forced to move to small town Indiana to oversee her movie. She meets Travis Hunt— mayor, cowboy, and lawyer at his moms B&B where she’s staying. These two couldn’t be more different! They start out butting heads every time they talk but the tension was there immediately! I LOVED the evolution of Samantha. At first she was a little hard to like but she grew on me! Travis is the definition of a golden retriever— so sweet and funny! He made me smile so many times. I think Hildi the goat may be my top fave though. She is my spirit animal 🤣

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Enemies to lovers and opposites attract are two tropes I really enjoy so this book delivered! I felt like their transition to lovers was really smooth but I would have loved more at the end as it felt a little rushed.

Definitely read Love To Hate You if you need a sweet, lighthearted romance to read!!

Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books for an arc to read and review!! 🫶🏻

3.5 ⭐️‘s rounded down.

You’re looking for an easy romance read? Well this is it. I devoured this in 2 days which is unheard of for me.

Sam moved to Emerald Creek due to production issues with her latest movie. Upon arrival, her and her assistant get stuck on a dirt road when it’s blocked by a cow (long love queen Betsy) and in comes Travis to the rescue.. the rest I’m sure you can figure out.

This completely melted my frozen heart with some of the most adorable moments I’ve read in a long time, paired with witty banter between our two main characters.

It is fade to black, so if you’re a spicy queen like me don’t go in thinking you’re gonna get that complete fix you’re looking for, but it doesn’t make this any less enjoyable to read.

It’s official. I’m now in my cowboy era (even if Travis was only a part time cowboy).

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the arc!

"Love to Hate You" by Camilla Isley totally swept me off my feet! It's a super cute enemies-to-lovers romance set in this charming small town that had me grinning from ear to ear. And get this, it's actually part of a larger series, but I had no clue until after I finished it! So, you can totally read it as a standalone without feeling lost.

The characters are a riot! Their banter and chemistry are like fireworks, and I couldn't get enough of their journey from hating each other to falling head over heels. It's just the kind of cute romance that makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.

Now, I've gotta be honest - I was totally rooting for some steamy scenes, but things faded to black. Bummer! But hey, the story was so charming that I kinda forgave it for that.

The small-town setting is perfect, making the whole thing feel even cozier. And Camilla Isley's writing style is so easy to dive into; I couldn't put the book down once I started.

Seriously, whether you're familiar with the series or totally new to Camilla Isley's books like I was, "Love to Hate You" is a heartwarming and entertaining read that's worth every minute. It'll leave you smiling and maybe even craving more small-town romances.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for providing me a free eARC of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I'm so into the enemies to lovers trope and this book didn't disappoint me.

- Characters were great. I found Travis a bit annoying at first. He was great though, after a few chapters.
- Loved Hildi and Fluffy.
- Writing was smooth.
- The length was great too.
- I don't know why but it seemed necessary for them to sound lustful in every convo (Samantha specially). I know this story is not all about lust, so why bring it up to every convo they had?
- Their love confession was a little off. They only repeated 'I love you' a few times and that's it. That scene could be more romantic and beautiful.

Overall, it was worth giving a try.

Samantha is a NY native and that's her comfort zone. So when she's sent to Emerald Creek to oversee a movie currently filming, she doesn't expect to fall in love with the place, and the people (an animals) living there.

I read this by the pool in Portugal in one sitting and it was a cute summer read. It was definitely enjoyable and I was rooting for Samantha and Travis from the start.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

I couldn’t put this down and read it in one sitting, the easy banter between Samantha and Travis is great. The way he teases her into liking the ranch life and ditching NYC is so cute. The appearance of Hildi and Fluffy are an added bonus. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is my second book by Camilla Isley and I love it even more than the first one I read!

Samantha is a strong-willed movie producer. Travis is a scorching hot cowboy/former lawyer/mayor. They shouldn't make sense together. But, from the first encounter there's undeniable chemistry simmering beneath the surface just waiting to be unleashed.

The banter between this two is hilarious but also incredibly sweet. Neither of them is ever overly mean to the other. And while they have their preconceived notions about each other, they're more than ready to get to know the other person and be proven wrong about their assumptions.

You could see the third act conflict coming from miles away and while it might have been mishandled at first, the mature and honest communication between Travis and Samantha made the story relatable and believable!

4/5 Mr. Can't-Touch-This ⭐️

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC!

This is your typical city girl meets country boy story, but it was well done. It took me a minute to like the FMC because she was a brass New Yorker and not someone I can relate to, but I Travis was such a fun character and I loved Hildi the goat! She was so sweet and added such a quirky element to the story. I didn’t realize this was part of a series until after I read it so it can clearly be read as a stand-alone. I loved the banter between Samantha and Travis once I warmed up to Samantha :)
I kind of wish the ending didn’t feel as rushed, but I guess maybe the author wanted to keep it shorter. That being said, there was probably some other stuff that could have been cut out to make room for some more flushing out at the ending. Other than that, a sweet country fade to black love story.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

This was incredibly cute. Reverse grumpy/sunshine, goats and huge kitties. What's not to love?

Love to Hate You, was easy to read, I devoured this book in 3.5 hours and there was no way I was putting it down until the very end.

It is 'fade to black' in the saucy moments, so if cutesy romance isn't your thing, this book isn't for you. That being said, this is a super sweet romance novel with a strong female lead.
