I think I’ve read all of Rachel’s books and this one is the best yet.
Told over many years but on the 16th December annually, telling the story of Like and Laura, from their first date through their lives that follow.
I sat and read this book almost in one sitting - it was a lovely story, told by the lead characters about how this lives were progressing. I don’t want to say too much about the important things that happen each 16th December but some made me smile and some brought tears.
Go and read.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review.
This was a great relationship read, based just before Christmas over a number of consecutive years as it followed Laura and Luke from their first official date through the birth of their son and his birthdays following. There were so many ups and downs and it was great to read both of their perspectives as Luke’s career progressed but Laura’s herself remained very down to earth and struggled with Luke’s popularity. This is a great message about communication and how important it is in a relationship as well as trust and staying true to yourself. This was very thoughtful and ultimately uplifting with many heartfelt moments.
Very excited to acquire this beautiful beautiful book! The cover drew me in right away, but the storyline is what grabbed me most! I love a good love story and I can’t wait to read all about Laura and Dylan. I love the rock tar aspect reminds me a bit of Daisy Jones which I really enjoyed. I can’t wait to see how their love story evolves and how fingers crossed they find their way back to each other, Definitely going to add more thoughts and a full review and making this a book club selection as well! Readers are going to be delighted eit( this one!
