This book is delightfully amazing! Perfect for kids of all ages. This book is split into sections for the wildlife of each habitat and each page is packed with information and beautiful illustrations.
The FAQs are informative and interesting and can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. The writing is geared towards older kids but is great for adults to read aloud to the littles. The illustrations are gorgeous, bright, and detailed.
This book is unique as it's two books in one. You could read both in one sitting or split it into two. I enjoy how the illustrations for day and night of each habitat match but with the different animals at the different times of day/night.
We really enjoyed reading this book to our littles and we as adults enjoyed it as well.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC
This is a really cute book, packed with lots of great illustrations and animal facts.
The day / night contrast is a great idea, and a good introduction to the variety of life within ecosystems.
There's lots and lots of info, so I think this is best as a read-along book for kids with a longer attention span.
The ecosystems are very detailed, there's lot of animals, and lots of interesting details (maybe a bit too much for the format of the book, this is my only critique).
The artwork is really great and should provide opportunities for some good q & a.
Would recommend for kids (and parents) who love animals and love finding out about places far from home.

Me and my children enjoyed looking and reading this book. It was about different animals if they like to come out in the daytime or nighttime. It talked about different places throughout the world and how the animals lived.
This was fun to look at and read. The illustrations were colorful. It was a book that you could flip and read one side then other side.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
I worked through this book with my Grandson in preparation for his first trip to a zoo. We loved all the beautiful illustrations and the spot on narratives so that he could better understand what he was seeing. Never was there a prouder Grandma when I heard some of what we read together becoming his descriptions of what he saw when reporting back to his parents about his time away. I highly recommend this book
Thanks to #QuartoPublishing and #Netgalley for a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
What a wonderfully colorful book! I would love to hold this book in my hands, or be able to read it on a large tablet. I think as an ebook it would be great with a big screen or as a physical book for the younger set. The pages are beautifully illustrated and the little tidbits are just what you would expect to find in a non-fiction book. I loved reading the names of the animals in their natural habitats. I read it on my phone so for me it was a little hard to navigate.
A book for animal lovers 🦁 Lovely, colourful illustrations. I love how the book turns from day to night. The nighttime section is particularly fascinating with all the wonderful creatures that come out which we never get see. I didn't know wombats poop cubes!
A wonderful flip book exploring different habitats, and the wildlife in them, in the daytime and the night-time.
Travelling through rainforests, savannas, prairies, woodlands, deserts, caves, oceans, mountains, coral reefs and cities, seeing what wildlife is out and about during different times of the day.
A really lovely informative book, with stunning illustrations for young nature lovers.
Thank you to NetGalley & Quarto for the DRC
I love the idea of a 2 in 1 book and being able to have that instant ability to compare daytime with nighttime. The pages are colourful, engaging and informative. It is a book which will be easy to dip in and out of to enable you to directly compare the relevant sections. There is enough detail to answer children's questions without overwhelming. This is a book which would be a great addition to our a school library.
Cute children's book that teaches about what animals do during the day and the night. It also teaches children about different animals or creatures that they may not know about or have ever seen.
I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I love comparative books. Seeing different geographic places and learning about nature's daytime vs nighttime activities in one book. is a fun way to learn. I learned about Lemur stink fights and I think I'm better for it.
We really enjoyed this book! There is so much to learn on each page and it was really cool to explore the habits and how they are the same/different during the day versus at night. Both of my boys (7 & 5) really liked this book. The great graphics helped and interesting information shared. The way the information is shared (in short bursts) helped to keep their attention and the array of different ecosystems included will keep us coming back to the book again and again. Just overall a great learning book for young kids. The kind of learning book you find them flipping through on their own as well as asking you to read it to them.
This was a beautiful book. I liked the way the book was set up, the facts and details about the wildlife was interesting and just enough to engage young readers. What I really loved were the illustrations. These were so vibrant and brought the pages to life, some were truly exceptional. I have already bought copies for my libraries and I'm sure it will go out well. Very enjoyable.
Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This is a gorgeous book with a boatload of information about animals that operate during the day and night. It also has the lovely twist of being a flip book that reveals information in a unique way to readers. Illustrations are beautiful. I worry about the text heaviness of the book, but I also recognize that some readers crave what I call the "DK-Style" of information. It will be a enjoyable feast for the eyes and brain of people who can't get enough animals in their non-fiction books!
I absolutely love the bright colorful and imaginative illustrations in this book. They give it so much life and make it a joy to read. It's also jam packed with lots of great animal facts which I know my kids are going to love. The way this book is laid out is also so unique, flipping from day to night- and vice versa. So fun AND educational!
Beautifully illustrated and filled with fascinating facts about animals and their unique habitats. My little one was drawn to the bright and colorful images and enjoyed pointing out the animals on each page. This is a wonderful book for an adventurous kid and animal-lovers of all ages.
I gave this story to my 9 year old animal lover. She enjoyed reading the facts about different animals in their habitats and was constantly sharing things that she either didn't know beforehand or found interesting and strange. There were only a few words my daughter needed help to understand.
I read through a few pages myself and felt that it is a great book to give small amounts of information about a variety of species.
This book is absolutely gorgeous. It’s extremely informative and well laid out. It goes through daytime and then nighttime which is great for all ages. This book will grow with your child. For younger kids the pictures and the movement through locations and tons of day is truly beneficial! When they are older they cal learn a lot about the different animals, where they live, how they interact, and when they are active. My biggest drawback is there is just too much information and it’s slightly overwhelming. However if this is a book that you intend for them to revisit they’ll constantly take away something new!
This book was cute, but some of the nighttime pages were a little scary for my child (they are not a fan of the dark), but still a pretty good book.
Daytime and Nighttime is beautifully illustrated (by Nic Jones) and packed with information. The format is two books in one. Going one direction you get animals, insects, birds, and sea life in the day. It includes info on adaptations that make them good hunters or hiders. Going from the other direction you get the critters of the night. Habitats include African Savannah, Rain Forest, Australian Outback, European Woods, Desert, Ocean, Cities and more. The information is done in word bursts, not long narratives, making it easier for younger readers to follow. I can see this easily useful in a classroom or library. Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group for the temporary ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving a voluntary review.
