3.25/5 stars! This is the 4th book in the Witches of Thistle Grove series by author Lana Harper. Queer witch and a queer fae? Yes please! I really loved Delilah in this story. She showed so much strength and resilience. I just wish Cat was more likable. She was pretty annoying and I don't think she appreciated Delilah enough. Still a cute story; was just offput by that character.

Book Four of the Thistle Grove Witches is just as lovely and tender a story of self-acceptance as ots predecessors! The romance is adorable, though something more of a sub-plot than previously, as Delilah has a lot of growth to do that focuses on her own past and present, rather than jumping into something new. The plot in general is a little less exciting than in previous books, and includes far fewer of the characters of Thistle Grove, but it works for this quiet, gentle story of recovering from trauma.

Payback's a Witch was one of my favourite reads the year it came out, but i just havent been able to find that same feeling in any of the consequent Thistle Grove books, unfortunately. i was determined to love this one, if for no other reason than i hoped that maybe i prefered this author's sapphic pairing more? idk i was grasping at straws lol
but i just couldn't. i couldnt find the chemistry or the emotions. everything felt really flat and even with only one book left, i dont think i'll be continuing the series.

Having not read the previous book in the series I did find this a little difficult to get into but I don't feel like I've missed a huge portion of the story. I feel like these can be read as standalone in that sense.
I think my main issue with reading this was Delilah, I just didn't really like her. I understand she's had something awful happen to her and she's angry and scared. But she seems to have made angry and scared her personality.
She opened up and became more once she met Cat.
I have the previous books in the series now which I will definitely be happy to read.
I love the town of Thistle Grove and I definitely want to read more.

I wasn't sure about this book before I started it because Delilah is a character that I haven't really liked throughout the last three books, she's grated on me a lot as a side character so a whole book of her seemed too much. But I've really loved the rest of this series so I wanted to give it a try and I really liked it! To begin with, I still disliked her but as we went on having her be the main focus actually meant I got to know her better and whilst I still disliked some of the things she did I actually started to like her.
As always the writing was brilliant and we got hints at who the next MC will be (I'm so looking forward to that) I love that each new book brings us a little bit more information about the town and the families that made it and I love that we got more about the Harlows, I think they're the most interesting of the four families if I'm honest.

A fun witchy romance and a nice easy read! Perfect for a cosy day reading session. I enjoyed the fun witchy elements and the romance was enjoyable.

As much as I liked the first two in this series, I've not enjoyed the second two. This is better than the third, but it's still not where the author shines. Her books that focus more on the whole town/everyone interacting are better to me.

I think she struggled in this book to grow the Lore of this world, it seemed forced. It was also painfully obvious what was going on the whole way through and I'd have been happier if this toxicity hadn't ended in a HEA.

The book is a fun and easy read, just like the three before it, offering cosy vibes and characters that have you hooked from early on. It may be a simple premise but it does it well and I could comfortably read every book in this series over and over again. If you like Practical Magic, this is the book for you.

I missed downloading the ARC, but have subsequently bought the book so thought I would ping my review in.

In Charm's Way is the fourth instalment of The Witches of Thistle Grove and follows Delilah of the Harlow family, who casts a spell which leads to a horrible mistake...

I think this book was perhaps weaker than it's prior instalments of maybe I just didn't vibe with Delilah's character as much as I had with the previous main characters in the series. Still an enjoyable holiday read to take away in one's suitcase...

I love this universe but I struggled a bit with this instalment. It was an intentionally angry book, but I think I found that difficult to read a lot of.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and of course the author for gifting me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

The forth book of "The Witches of Thistle Grove" and follows Delilah, a witch who is struggling to regain what she has lost and casts a forbidden spell , which doesn't quite go to plan, when she becomes the sole attraction for a lot of supernatural creatures.

Full of adventure, magic and romance and was an enjoyable read.

DNF

Struggling to get on board with the main character so I'm going to have to DNF for now. Although it doesn't work for me I have hope it will for others.

This is the fourth book in Lana Harper’s Witches of Thistle Grove series. If you’ve read the series you’ll know there are three families and each book so far has focussed on one of the members of each of them. The Harlow’s, the Thorn’s and the Blackmoore’s. In this instalment we’re circling back to the Harlow family with main character Delilah.

I think my favourite book in the series has to be Nina and Morty’s story in Back in a Spell. Delilah features in that book after Nina casts a very strong oblivion spell that deeply impacts Delilah. In Charm’s Way follows the story of Delilah rebuilding her memory and rebuilding the charms that protect her store. However it’s not enough, it’s not happening quickly enough and Delilah is still forgetting things so she takes matters into her own hand and casts a very dark spell that requires her blood to complete in a bid to bring her memory back.

After casting the spell things start to go massively wrong for Delilah and with the appearance of a charming stranger who seems to want to protect her they take on everything that’s flung at her.

This series is perfect for this year’s Halloween season with witchy romance tropes for everyone!

I unfortunately struggled to get into this one, however will be the perfect witchy read for the right reader. I would still love to go back and read the rest of the series, incase that changes my mind.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a free ARC in exchange for a review.

I've really enjoyed the other books in this series, so I knew In Charm's Way would probably be another fun romp, and I was right and wrong.

This book is much more character driven and more world exploration than the others. The romance definitely took a back seat for a while, but I didn't mind because Delilah was so interesting and I was so invested in her search for self amidst her recovery.

I also love the sentient doorbell. A lot.

My only qualm was I don't know if I believe someone could date someone else for years, break up, then become best friends and have no lingering feelings or anything. Anything's possible, and the friendship was really nice, but when Delilah mentioned she'd been with Ivy for years, I was a bit taken aback. I had figured it was months, maybe a year at most, then realising they were better off as friends.

Cat is not my favorite love interest of the series <spoiler> a bit too okay with brainwashing bracelets and people kind of owning people </spoiler> but I did like the resolution at the end, and the emphasis on feeling safe and comfortable with your partner.

Overall, a good addition to a good series! 4 stars.

I do enjoy a good witchy read. And this was a great witchy read.

Sweet vibes, a cute romance, spells, mayhem, Fae and magical creatures and a town I wish I could live in!

Book 4 in the Witches of Thistlegrove series, I really enjoyed reading about what happen next. While this can be read as a stand alone it's such a fun, enjoyable read you'll definitely want to read the other books too.

Delilah is full of anger and anxiety following the spell that leaves gaps in her memory and causes her to forget the most ordinary of things. As she casts a baneful spell to heal herself she can't possible know the dangerous outcome of her actions.

I loved seeing her interaction with her best friend Ivy, with Nina ,and with Cat the Fae Monster hunter. Did I hold out hope for a HAE? For sure!

And the quaint magical town sounds like such a cool place. A lake with magical waters, a goddess, witches, healers and a witchy bookshop, what's not to love.

This was an enjoyable read, with some great interconnected characters across the series.

Definitely one to check out.

This book is part of a series based in the magical town of Thistle Grove, however it can be read as a stand alone novel as all the context you need is found within its pages.
Delilah Harrow is a member of one of the founding witch families of Thistle Grove. Six months earlier she was hit by an oblivion spell which as the librarian for the towns magical history has its drawbacks. Fed up with her wonky memory, and due to her heritage has access to restricted books, Delilah tries a forbidden spell on herself. Much to her delight the spell works a treat, her brain fog lifts and she is back to her old self.
As is the way of darker magic the success comes with a price which only becomes apparent when monstrous creatures, formerly never seen in Thistle Grove, come flocking in, all attracted to Delilah.
Luckily for Delilah a half fae monster hunter Arachne Quinn is in town hot on the trail of the various monsters and romance is soon in the air. Together they face down monsters, but some secrets that should stay hidden surface...

Thankyou for the opportunity to receive an arc copy of this book

I haven’t read the previous books in the series but I found it quite easy to follow, I love Delilah and her story was so interesting following her journey trying to regain her memory after her accident
