Thank you Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book
I'll preface this by saying that I didn't realise this was number 4 in the series when I accepted the arc. It can be read as a standalone but I feel that, in order to really get a feel for the characters, it should be read with the series.
It was an easy read and it was pretty good, it makes a good palate cleanser after a heavy read. The characters were generally okay, though I didn't find the the main character all that likeable, she just seemed to push people away when she needed help. The storyline was interesting, though some bits were a little predictable.
Overall the book was good. I didn't love it but it wasn't a slog to get through.

If you loved the others in the series this one will not disappoint. Delilah was such an amazing and interesting POV to follow and I loved getting to experience her journey. Deliliah is trying to get her memory back after her accident and is going through all the trauma and struggle that comes with that It was such an interesting journey and I was hooked striaght away. I have adored the whole series and am so excited to see what Harper does next.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this arc.
I haven't read the previous three books in the series but I still managed to follow the story.
I loved the main character Delilah.
Great read for fall.

This is a very fun and quick easy read. It is a little bit slow for me in the beginning but I really enjoyed the story! Also I highlighted so many good quotes from the book! Would really recommend for a palette cleanser.

After really enjoying the rest of this series, I've really struggled to get into this one at the current time. I'm having to DNF it for now, but really hope it'll be one I come back to in the future.

**spoiler alert** Thank you to Net Galley and publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book!
Through this story, we see Delilah work through her anger following the end of the last book, and while I can understand the anger, I found it hard to connect with her as she was really pushing everyone away, even when they were trying to help.
Other than Cat of course, who is the love interest of the story. The story was cute and fun but did veer on the insta love side for me, and again found the character development to be a little flat for Cat than I would have liked.
Overall however I’d say this was a fun quick read, Rom com esque and good rep for Saffic characters with a witchy undertone. 3.5

This book knocked my socks off……so different to what I normally read and it did not disappoint.
If you’re looking for a entertaining paranormal Sapphic romance this spooky season then this is the perfect book for you.

Such a unique book, I loved the plot, and oh my god the characters we're so amazing!! I definitely will be recommending it!!

Book Review 📚
In Charms Way by Lana Harper - 4.5/5 ⭐
Loved it. Adored it. Crave more of it. An absolutely fantastic book that I couldn't get enough of. To my delight I found out it was part of a series, so of course after reading In Charms Way I then went and order the previous books!
Harper's style of writing is superb. She's insightful with her details and goes into great description with her character and world building. The snippets of Scottish mythology along the way were fabulous. Harper put an insane amount of detail into her writing about Scotland.
I loved the story, it wasn't a typical romance but it was at the same time. Either way it kept me hooked and I was sucked in from the very beginning. It's a truly enchanting tale and written so beautifully with some magic thrown in!
Thank you to NetGalley and Little Brown Book Group for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Little Brown Book Group for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The fourth instalment of Lana Harpers Thistle Grove series is a truly excellent read. The novel can be enjoyed as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading all the books in the series, for cohesion and honestly enjoyment.
I would highly recommend this book, I can’t way to see what Lana does next!

I have really enjoyed all the books in the Thistle Grove witches series. This one took me a little longer to get into than the others but once I did I was swept up in the story and magic. I absolutely adore the world building and effort that has gone into this book to build this witchy town and the mythology that has shaped the story and characters. Overall this is a great witchy read which does a really good job of transporting you to this magical setting. Perfect read for upcoming autumn evenings!

Lana Harper's "In Charm's Way" is a bewitching tale that enchants readers with its magical intrigue and sapphic romance. Delilah Harlow's journey of self-discovery and resilience, coupled with her compelling bond with the captivating and mysterious Catriona Quinn, forms the heart of the narrative. Set against the backdrop of a richly imagined world steeped in Scottish mythology, the story delves into themes of memory, power, and the complexities of love. As the characters grapple with their own vulnerabilities and desires, readers are drawn into a spellbinding web of emotions, secrets, and supernatural forces. With its well-crafted plot and engaging characters, this enchanting installment is sure to captivate fans of the series and newcomers alike.

I was rooting for In Charm's Way through to the very end, but it simply let me (and itself) down. The initial premise gripped me, with clearly neurodivergent and interestingly prickly Delilah struggling with essentially a magical disability; I wanted that story, not the "cure with complications" plot we got instead. And for a romance to not sell me on the actual love story is a bad sign; I was already underwhelmed by Cat, who seemed to be a fairly uninspired choice of making a butch love interest inherently assertive, action-driven, and somewhat predatory; suffice it to say, the way the narrative proceeds, that was the least of my concerns. I was actually gunning for Delilah and Ivy Thorn to rekindle something, which brings up another issue: the sidelining of the Thorns, the only predominantly non-white founding family. Having book four not be a Thorn book when the three other families have had their turns doesn't sit right, particularly as the extract reveals book 5 will not feature them either. I appreciate that Harper probably feels unequipped to write a Black protagonist, but this erasure was not the way, particularly as three of the four books thus far have featured a Black Thorn character as the kind, helpful best friend/lover. Coupled with the ever-expanding lore remaining unpleasantly Eurocentric, this series has moved from troubling implications to a bigger issue with race and colonialism that I simply don't know how Harper can correct. I want to see how the series proceeds in relation to all this, but this entry is only just getting three stars from me for it being immensely readable and having built up goodwill from the first two books.

This has been bothering me since finishing the book, so I think it's worth stating. I adore Lana Harper's work. I've loved every instalment of the Witches of Thistle Grove. I really loved the romance in this....And yet I felt like the book was devalued by how quickly Delilah got over Cat's misdirections. Also the scale of things she was willing to quickly forgive. Zero issues with the themes stated or that plot point: I just couldn't really root for the romance any more with how quickly it was wrapped up. That felt like the big dramatic issue of the novel and instead it was resolved in a chapter. Maybe that's me, but it really soured me on this book.

I didn’t know what I’d find as I stumbled into In Charm’s Way, but I was pleasantly surprised by it!
The main character, Delilah, was a homage ti myself in a way, despite our differences, and I felt I related to her struggles more than I would any standard romance novel. I’m getting ahead of myself here.
This is a YA witchy, queer, romance novel that is very much fantasy romance if I’d ever seen it. The settings were familiar, set in Scotland, I believe, and the way the characters spoke to one another was comforting and like a warm hug.
The romance aspect was every bit mushy and adorable as you’d expect, the angst was subtle enough that it didn’t feel too heavy for the genre, and I now feel like I should go back and read the previous books in this series to learn about the other characters too! For sure would recommend this for your YA fantasy witchy needs!

This was my first book from the Witches of Thistle Grove series and I ADORED it.
This book follows Delilah Harlow and her struggle to regard her memory after a tragic accident involving magic. I never expected I’d then be taken into cursed magic, love interests, drama and an in-depth witch town with goddesses.
As a Scottish person, I was very excited to see mention of Scottish Thistles, lakes and towns. The research into mythical lore and how many creatures originated from Scotland made my heart warm and I appreciated it a lot.
The romance…holy shit. AMAZING. I didn’t expect the steamy scenes and realistic development in the relationship! Even if the plot twist was predictable, I loved it.
I loved the ending. It rounded up the story well and gave an opening to more in the future!
Love love love!

I loved this book! I’ve loved all of Lana Harpers Witches of Thistlegrove series, and this one was no exception. I was so pleased this book focused on Delilah, after she was hit by Nina’s goddess enhanced oblivion glamour in the last book. I could really emphasise with Delilah here, having previously experienced post traumatic amnesia following a nasty brain injury. Get rage and grief at not being able to trust her own mind, is basically exactly how I felt. I understood her reluctance to rely on anyone, and how unhappy she felt needing to reach out to Ivy to help.
I loved the fact we actually found out a little about magical entities outside of Thistle Grove in this book, and I’m so excited to see more in future books! The romance aspect of this book was amazing, as in the three before it. I love a witchy romance as much as the next person, but make it sapphic and my adoration knows no bounds! Also, I want a raven familiar now.
All in all, I have no complaints about this book, and I am so grateful for the arc in return for an honest review! I heartily recommend it, and eagerly look forward to the next one.

Good fiction, definitely worth reading An urban fantasy YA story with a gay story line, including witches, magic and fantasy monsters, battles, romance and definitely forgiveness. This is a stand alone story. Although this seems to be the fourth in a series. I hadn’t read any of the previous books. Wasn’t an issue at all. I really liked the way the author draws the reader in, then the action, relationships and romance keep you reading to the end. Thank you to Little, Brown Book UK and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

3.5 rounded up
Thank you for my earc of this book. I love this book series and was v excited to read in charms way!
I did enjoy it, and especially the latter half but found I wasn’t quite as enamoured by it as I was the previous books.
I love Lilah as a character and love her coming of self but wanted more somehow?
I’d recommend it and will absolutely be continuing the series but it wasn’t my fav!

Thank you to NetGalley and Little Brown Book Group UK for approving my request to read an arc of this book.
When I first read the description of this book it sounded right up my alley- magic, supernatural creatures and to top it all off, queer! This book was also unique in the plot point of the partial memory wiping spell and it offered a new kind of supernatural book. It was funny, interesting and intense and I really enjoyed it.
