I really enjoyed the artwork here. But I couldn't really connect with the story, it seemed a bit unstructured at times.
This graphic novel was not quite what i was expecting. The story itself felt a little disjointed and took a couple odd turns. And I didn't come away really caring about what I had just read. The illustrations were well done and I enjoyed the color themes of each section. Overall it was interesting, but just not for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Europe Comics for this copy in exchange for my honest review.
This is a great book, with fantastic illustrations. The story was also top notch, i well recommend it to everyone. And its for many ages.
This book was beautiful. I loved the nuance in characterization. The plot was brilliant. It had so many exciting and novel elements. I also loved the progression of the book and seeing Hayden go on this amazing journey of discovery. He got to discover the world around him, people in distant lands, and, most importantly, himself. The color variation in each section captivated me. I want to buy this book to study the illustrator's style and technique. The only reason I won't recommend this book is there is some nudity, briefly. I don't feel comfortable recommending it.
This was cute! I really loved the colorful art style and how each chapter represented a different color of the rainbow. Though sometimes the faces looked really weird.
The story was fun and interesting to read about. But I'm confused about who the target audience is: this reads like a middle grade book to teach kids about science, the value of love and to not discriminate those who are different; however, there is a page that contains naked people having sex with goat creatures and a rape attempt. It's not very graphic or explicit, but still; not appropriate for kids. Other than that, it's a very juvenile book.
I liked the main character and his enthusiasm for science, he's very wholesome.
Overall, a nice and very short story that will keep you entertained and teach you about rainbows!
I personally didn’t enjoy it. I found it slow to get into and wished it would’ve been a bit more interesting/something to grab the reader’s attention. All in all, I would probably recommend it to other people, but didn’t personally enjoy it much!

Absolutely beautiful! This has definitely introduced me to read more from this author! You could just stare at the pages for hours, even frame them.
I loved this graphic novel. It was absolutely adorable! I devoured it within a few hours and can;t wait to see what the author puts out next!
Beautiful artwork and a lovely story. The chapters followed the colours of the rainbow which was a fantastic touch.
Thanks NetGalley and Europe Comics for access to this beautiful arc!
4/5 stars!
Anyone who knows me knows I love all things rainbow, sparkly, shiny - I never grew out of that phase 🤣 So of course I knew I'd love this graphic novel! This story was cute! Beautifully illustrated, I loved how the different chapters dealt with different themes that also corresponded to a different colour of the rainbow. The message was good, and I recalled enjoyed how it ended. It did feel a little rushed at times, but sometimes that can't be helped!
I enjoyed this book, the chapters were set up by color and the pages were all done in that shade and it turned out so neat. I loved that touch. The letters were easy to read and the story was interesting. I think kids will also enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed this cute little love story masquerading as a story about rainbows. The characters in it were perfect, especially the ones that ended up together, while all of them felt so true to life. If I had one complaint, it would be that I didn’t enjoy the way the chapters were broken up. There was less continuity to the story. I did like the color scheme to each chapter though. Overall, definitely a cute story for anyone with the love story slipped in at the end. I would definitely recommend this book.
I really enjoyed the story, it has a beautiful message and the art is gorgeous! Loved to see how each chapter had a different color scheme to represent the colors of the rainbow, and how the different colors affected the mood of the chapter.
A short but entertaining read!

A beautiful story about rain, rainbows and leprechauns! Magestic artwork with amazing colours. Pure beauty. Don't miss it!

The plot of this graphic novel left me a bit confused. The first half is mostly historical and scientific, but then in the second half, it does a sudden pivot and goes into purely fantasy territory. The pacing was also off, it would start a plot line and then just drop it out of nowhere. It left the entire novel feeling disjointed and each chapter felt out of synch with the next. I was confused the entire time about what exactly the main character was supposed to be doing. The plot blurb says he's a "spy" but the novel takes a long time to get to that bit, and I saw literally no spy work in this entire novel. The plot just fell flat for me. I did find the art to be fairly pretty. The colors were gorgeous, and are honestly the biggest highlight of this graphic novel. All of the art in each chapter followed the color scheme of one precise color, with each chapter being a color of the rainbow. Honestly, the colors and the color theme of each chapter were better planned out than the actual plot. The art style itself (talking about the actual drawings, not the coloring) was okay, it couldn't decided if it wanted to be silly and cartoony or serious and elegant. Also, thank you to whoever made sure to add the translation of what characters were saying in another language right up their panel. I hate when comics have swathes of dialogue in another language with no translation so you have to break your immersion and go find a translation on your own.
The colours of this graphic novel are absolutely beautiful and just for that this work is worth reading. The art is very personal and I truly think the cover doesn't do justice to the flamboyant and heartfelt drawings within those pages.
This is a historical science /folklore odd little blend with whimsical strokes, it's a pleasant and smooth read.
There isn't much depth, there is quite a bit of characterization cliches, but there is also a lot of charm, lightness and quirkiness.
This was overall a very lovely book and I liked the illustrations! It had a nice message too. Thank you to Netgalley for the eARC.
