Overall, this is a fun book that kids will love. Is it perfect, no. It does a decent job rhyming, but there is no cadence. Plus, the book is broken up into “rounds” like a video game and each have a different feel. It does work well, but ½ the book is just a description of the various monsters. While I like this book, the thing that bugs me most is the letter to parents at the beginning telling them what this book will do for their child. This isn’t needed. I normally say, put this type of stuff at the end, but this book has it at the end too. It’s like a reiteration salad. The letter at the beginning doesn’t change my view of this story, but I still wish it wasn’t there.

This was a different style book than I am used to, but it was interesting. I am sure that for those that are more art driven and created, they will be fans.

Hey, parents and guardians! I just had to share how awesome "Monsters Galore" is for my little ones! This book is a total game-changer when it comes to teaching counting. With its bright colors and friendly monsters, my kids were hooked from the start! It's like taking them on an exciting adventure with each page, from the park to the beach and more - they couldn't wait to see what comes next! Plus, they had a blast searching for the hidden monsters - who knew learning to count could be this much fun?

The best part is that this book is designed for young children aged 3 to 6, so it's just perfect for my little ones. They're not just learning to count; they're also developing their imagination and love for books.

This counting book has engaging illustrations and invites kids to count with their parents up to twenty-five. The illustrations get more complex as the number builds, and there are also other activities, such as two seek-and-find scenes. Pages at the end name all of the monsters and list different characteristics.

Some parts of the book feel mismatched to the intended age group, since kids who are just learning to count won't have the attention span or interest for the character pages, but parents may enjoy them. Also, although the majority of the monsters are cute and friendly-looking, some of them are a little on the scary side, and there is a surprisingly frightening monster for the page at the very end.

The monsters were a fun way to help develop early math concepts. The author divided the story into several challenges which was a big hit with my child. A very fun read that will help young children learn to count.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The first thing I thought as I was reading this book, was how perfect it would be for a travel activity book! The colors, the characters, the learning aspect, and especially the find-it monsters would be such a fun guardian+child activity. I imagine at the end, taking the monster biographies and making stories with them!

The only aspect that knocked it down to 4, was the scary gray monster at the end (out of place and definitely not for kids) and a few of the sentences didn’t rhyme when they seemed to previously. I would recommend this book to guardians of all kinds, especially if they need a little something to do on a trip. ✈️

Monsters Galore offers an enjoyable and creative way of teaching children how to count by introducing them to a variety of cute and funny Monsters. It is likely that the colourful characters will distract children from the hard work that they are actually engaged in whilst learning!

I particularly liked the exercises where children can solve the puzzles by identifying where the Monsters are hidden in the pictures.

But hands down, the best part of this offering was the illustrated Guide to Monsters provided at the end of the book!
