Love the illustrations. They are simple, modern, clean and colorful.
The introduction hooked me at “forest bathing”.
Being mindful of the natural world has therapeutic benefits indeed and this book is a great reminder.
Facts about plants, gardening, constellations and some recipes thrown in enhance this book.
The meditations in this book would make great audiobook material.
This book would make a great gift for the gardener, nature lover or holistic minded.
In to a hectic world, with all the pressures, busyness and lack of hours in the day, comes this book of calm and wisdom to remind us that we're only human. Full of gorgeous illustrations, reading this beautiful book reminds us of the wider, natural world and the part we have to play in it.
Remembering, being mindful of the seasons and living in tune with the natural rhythms of life bring benefits to mind and body.
This is a book that asks to be lived with; not read in one go, but opened up regularly throughout the year so that one might 'tune in' to the various seasons. There are meditations, recipes, advice on gardening and stargazing.
This Almanac encourages its reader to live mindfully, with gratitude and openness. Surely, a recipe book for a happy life.
This is a very attractively designed book, I loved the illustrations and the colour palette. It’s great for getting in tune with the seasons and nature, with a mix of self care practices, recipes, spiritual inspiration, astronomy, and gardening. I especially liked the meditation practices.
A beautifully illustrated almanac which has lovely monthly inspiration and information with a range of different subjects
A book that you can read every month but will want to come back to again and again
This would make a beautiful gift
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc
The Leaping Hare Nature Almanac : Your Yearlong Mindful Guide to Reconnecting with Nature is a month by month book to lift your heart and mind using the beauty and benefits of nature. There are activities, affirmations, nature rituals, recipes all tailored to the season and month of the year. The illustrations are uplifting and you can dip in anywhere you please. It is filled with mediations, mindfulness activities, and practical ways to connect with nature such as growing flowers and vegetables and making things. A beautiful little feel good book that would also make a lovely gift.
The inclusion of urban spaces for gardening, and finding nature was much appreciated. I love the ideas for gardening in a small space, and tips for certain crops.
I love that there were month to month celestial bodies that could be caught at that time.
Once this is released in physical form, I think I may purchase this as a coffee table read for my house.
This is a fun guide to inner peace. I really enjoyed it. The pictures are so much fun and the info is great. It goes seasonally, and gives some great ideas and advice. Perfect for those looking to shake things up a little!
This is a beautiful and informative book. It is one that would make a great gift and would be perfect to keep out on the coffee table to dip in and out of throughout the year. I loved the bright illustrations and vibrant design of the book.
Having recently discovered how special almanacs are, I was pleased to see one focused on nature - and I've skipped ahead to August and will read each month in turn from there. Every season is introduced with an overview for the following three months, then a month by month section on the stars, plants, trees, wildlife to look out for, as well as meditation and other holistic practices. This is stunningly illustrated throughout - and I imagine it would be knockout in print! This would make a lovely gift for any nature lover, or treat yourself to it. A beautiful book to revisit each month. Thank you for the chance to review an ARC of this!
Cute and sweet little book to come back to daily/weekly as a way of connecting with nature for those who aren't already - those who are will find this too simplistic.
This book is very family-friendly and environmentally oriented. A must for those seeking a simpler way to respect nature and practice mindfulness, with exercises and moments of reflection. A good read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC.
I really enjoyed this and certainly found some inspiration for how to live more in sync with nature throughout the year.
The book is absolutely gorgeous, so many beautiful illustrations and the layout overall is so well done. It’s an absolute pleasure looking through it.
It didn’t fully match the expectations I had, I thought there’d be more seasonal activities/insights, or what plants are in season etc.
I think it could have been done a bit more ‘general’.
I did. really like the ritual ideas as well as the holistic view on everything.
Overall, I certainly recommend it.
I plan on reading through this over the course of the remainder of the year as a daily/weekly practice of reconnecting with natures However, I did read through a lot of the content and I am very excited to be including this is my daily routine for the new few weeks. I will definitely be sharing this book with like minded friends.
