MC: Genesis is a valuable resource for individuals seeking to deepen their spiritual understanding and connection with the biblical narrative. Its meditative approach encourages readers to engage with Scripture not just intellectually but also emotionally and spiritually, fostering a more profound relationship with the Creator.

This book isn’t a bible commentary as a student of the Word would understand a commentary to be. It is more of a meditative aid that deal with daily readings for five days of the week and a number of questions on the passage. The passage is printed in the text, so there is no going backwards and forwards between the book and a separate bible. Rather than a traditional commentary that gives factual information about the biblical text, this encourages the reader to engage and grapple with the text for themselves. I must agree with a previous reviewer who said that it ought to be labelled as a devotional rather than a commentary.

I would say that this is definitely more devotional than commentary. I was expecting more of a traditional commentary, like the kinds I used in Seminary. I would recommend this be relabelled as a devotional study through the book of genesis, as the word commentary would throw people like it did me.
