THis was an absolutely fantastic way to introduce my little ones to animals and the alphabet. This beautifully illustrated book uses engaging poems along with the most adorable pictures to talk about each animal and letter. It includes animals from all around the world.Your child, and you, will be drawn in by the beautiful animals and their happy faces. The poems about each animal are so well written and perfect to help little ones understand about the animals. We adore this book and can’t get enough of it. We received it as an ARC and fell in love. This book is one for our collection. Your family will adore it too. I also highly recommend it for any classroom, especially in an early childhood classroom. Makes a wonderful gift for children who are just starting to learn letters and for any child in love with animals. Enjoy this amazing book together.

There were poems connected to animals. One poem and animal per letter of the ABCs. It was cute poems with beautiful art. The animals chosen were fun, my kids would have really liked this.

My daughter and I loved this children's book, which has a letter of the alphabet and an animal on each page, with little poems too. We thought the book was very interesting, and it was really fun to read and look at the beautiful, colourful images.

All children will love this book! Highly recommended!

This was an informative book of animals A-Z. It was very well done! The illustrations were captivating and beautifully done. This would be a good book to read to your littles that are learning their alphabet but also a good read for your littles that are working on their reading. Very well done.

I loved this book! If my girls were still young I would be adding this to our poetry collection. The art is amazing, and the short poems for each animal were fun, and contained bits of info as well. I like that the poems were short, so younger kids wouldn't get bored. I was also pretty impressed the author came up with an animal for U, X, and Z! Thanks to Netgalley for allowing me to read the ARC. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful alphabet book, one animal per letter. The art is bright, popping, and enjoyable and the text is also bright and engaging. An excellent alphabet book, well executed. A joy to share.

My young son and I were drawn to the graphics in this book. The choice of animals and vivid, colourful pictures are wonderful, he loved them all and was excited to see what animal was going to come next.
The thing stopping me giving this book 5 stars are the rhymes. Some just aren’t that well thought out. My son really wasn’t fussed about me reading the words, just wanted to look at the pictures and see what came next. Normally he tries to read along too.

This rhyming book about animals was a big hit with my 6 and 8 year old animal lovers!

There is an animal poem for each letter of the alphabet, with fantastic diversity. Ocean animals, jungle creatures, woodland animals…you will find them all here. The poems give a bit of information about each animal, teaching the kids something new while enjoying the rhyming story.

The illustrations are incredible. Vibrant, fresh, and beautiful. They add a stunning visual component to this book, which would be a great addition to any child’s shelf.

This book is a clever way of introducing children to the fascination and the enormous diversity of the Animal Kingdom, and encouraging the establishment of an early bond with other creatures with whom we share our planet.

The rhyming approach is always a good one when it comes to teaching children, but a little more effort would have improved the rhythm, which wasn't always consistent.

I very much liked the fact that the writer decided to include some unusual creatures such as the Urial and Xenops.

And it's not just a question of finding a suitable beast for an awkward letter such as U. For example, an easy and more attractive choice for V could have been Vixen, but he choose the far less appealing Vulture. I also loved his characterization of the Vulture as nature's cleaner!

But hands down the best thing about the book are the illustrations. They are stunning - detailed and beautifully drawn. Kudos to the Illustrator.

This is a great book to share with children. I would have given it 5 stars if more care had been taken with the rhythm and content of the rhymes, which are a little basic compared to the artwork, but it does get 4 stars from me, so do buy it for the child in your life!
