It was alright. I liked the story but wasn’t really a fan of the artwork (too many characters looking very much the same which may have been intentional but ended up confusing me). A solid 2.5 stars for me.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing this eARC.
The story is a blend of (obviously) Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and is taking place in a time with steampunk elements. This means there are lots of automatons haunting the streets of 19th century London. I really enjoyed reading this story and its twists and turns.
This is a Steam Punk and Sherlock Holmes extravaganza. With Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde nicely thrown in too. The artwork is dark and gritty to match the genre. The story is easy and exciting visually, but has more text than I’m usually used to seeing in a comic. It is very clear that this is the start of a series of comics, but this one could be read as a stand alone. Thank you to Titan Comics and NetGalley for the ARC.
