This story has it all with plenty of mystery, suspense and romance. I was so consumed by it all, reading every chance that I could.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If it was a quick read for me, it'll be one of your quickest reads my reader friends! That just means the writing flows so well. Each character was thought about and the way that the author intertwines everyone's story is just wonderful. There was plenty of "spice" and I would say the ending was both expected and unexpected which is a flawless thing to be able to write for the reader. I could certainly read this again and would recommend to my friends. This one is for the girl finding her voice!

Thank you NetGalley and Black Rose Writing for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

The Wish
by Lena Gibson

I thought the book was ok. Just as the book takes off, we get the sex scenes, and falling on the ground crying. I don't know, it was just a bit of thirty-five-year-old Elizabeth really on the wind-up. The mind reading of Chris and the mutism of Elizabeth seemed more like a Y.A. if you took out the sex.

Although the premise of the book seemed really interesting I really struggled to get into the book and I think that was mainly due to the fact that I did not really like the main female character. Therefore I ultimately dnf'd the book early on.

"The Wish" by Lena Gibson is a wonderful story that has a perfect blend of just about everything: romance, suspense, mystery, time travel, and even a bit of magic. Elizabeth Bergstrom is traumatized after an accident that left her abusive husband dead. If only she could go back and do everything different--she wouldn't let the love of her life slip through her hands and make the awful mistakes that put her into her current situation. Her wish is granted and she wakes up five years earlier. This time, things would be different! And they are. Just not the way Elizabeth had envisioned. With dozens of surprising twists and turns, this novel will keep readers guessing.

Thank you to Net Galley for providing an ARC of this exceptional, Five Star book.
