Cute love story between two people in the same industry but having opposite believes. So both of them want to prove it which is right and wrong. They start with a physical attraction grow in to rivalry and end up getting too attached to one another.

First, i’m not always on the men side. Like having 100% following and supporting a main character throughout the story. Maybe because of the POV mostly on the MC more than the FC. But still from their arguments and conflicts, I’m totally with this guy. Even though he’s kinda suck with expressing emotion. Along the story I was like “this girl better be the one reaching out first”.

Even I’m not so into her idea of ‘clean diet’. Girl, that man been struggling a lot and almost danger his life with eating only salad. You know there’s saying people don’t change right away, it takes time and slowly build up to changes. Poor man had to struggle withdrawals. At the end they end up draw and having win-win situations.

Two to Tango is a fun filled rom com that follows Brooks and Izzy as they interact with one another. The story starts off with a rivalry between the two main characters and eventually turns to love.

It was easy to read and follow the story and though quite predictable, it was thoroughly enjoyable. I loved the characters and the close bonds that they share, especially Brooks and his circle of friends. What was unique for me about this story was the career path of the two characters. It was refreshing to read about what they do and the passion that they had for the same was well portrayed by the author. Through many ups and downs, Brooks and Izzy find a common rhythm and understanding, adapting their ways to incorporate the best of both their ideas.

Things do come together in the end and sometimes, it brings out the best! I think this classic enemies to lovers rom com is just what all of us need to come out of a stressful day or just unwind.

I've got to say that I was a little dissapointed with this but only because I really had my heart set on Brooks and Sarah getting together. Considering that it wasn't quite the pairing I was after, I really enjoyed this book.

I love the way that Laura Carter writes and the refreshing POV is always nice to read as its something different.

Again, another Laura Carter book I would recommend and I am looking forward to the next!

The second in the series and another one sitting read! An enemies to lovers in the fitness world. A trope I love and a fun setting when done right, but this one fell a little flat for me. Izzy (and her publicist's) entitled request to utilize Brooks' gym for filming felt like it came out of nowhere. A lot of assumptions (on both sides) and the enemies part of the story was just plain mean and didn't really lead to the sizzling chemistry one would expect. Izzy's entitledness was not becoming, I could see some people taking issue with how nutrition was addressed and there was SO MUCH miscommunication it kept the story from moving along in a meaningful way/in a way that made the reader want to root for the characters.

It was fun to revisit the characters from the first book (which I LOVED), the found family in this series is top notch and I can't wait for the next books! 😊

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for my review!

Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book for Laura Carter in Two to Tango— which is book 2 in her Brits in Manhattan series.

Brooks is a single dad to an 18 year old and owns a very successful gym. Izzy is an influencer from London who is supported by her family and touts a dance and diet regimen. She comes to NY to promote her book and wants to use Brooks’ gym to film her routines. They meet and their personalities collide.

This is a fun read. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Thank you to the author, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Laura Carter has a somewhat theme through her books that has to do with working out and staying in shape. Some people would find some of the lines slightly troublesome in our politically correct world, but if you take those out the two books, I've read by her are honestly great!

This is a clear enemy to lovers' book about two fitness coach's one from Britain, one who owns a gym in New York, and they agree to follow the others fitness plan for two weeks to see how the other feels and which one is actually better. By the end of the experiment, they realize they both can learn from each other, and maybe that they might love each other? Is that enough to bridge their material differences, along with their social differences? Or will Izzy be going back across the pond never to return?

I enjoyed this book, one less star than the first, but still worth my time!

Thank you NetGalley for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the sound of this one, I always struggle to go past an enemies to lovers romcom. This one has a fitness setting, and a lot of sexual tension!

This is definitely an opposites attract story, with our MMC being mature, and the FMC being... The opposite. Brooks is a single Dad but is hung up on his ex (after breaking up 18 years ago...) and Izzy is a spoiled socialite.

I didn't mind this one! It can be read as a standalone, but I intend to go back and read the rest of this author's work.

This is the second book in the fun and cute romantic comedy series, Brits in Manhattan. Though part of a series, it can be easily read as a standalone. Brooks is a gym owner and is trying to make a name for himself and proving to everyone he is worth believing in, hoping that it will help him get back together with his daughter's mother. Izzy comes from a rich family, and she also is trying to prove herself and that she can make it on her own. She comes to town to promote her fitness book and her and Brooks clash from the start. Brooks thinks she is nothing but a spoiled rich girl and Izzy initially sees him as a cocky, yet gorgeous man who aggravates her to no end. Seeing as they have very different views on fitness, they seem to clash at every turn, which leads them to set up a challenge between them. The competition between them brings about many fun and humorous moments as they challenge each other to try out the other's fitness method and it doesn't take long for them to switch from enemies to something more.
This was an enjoyable story and a delight to read. The story kept me smiling and laughing all the way through. Ms Carter did a really nice job of bringing the story and the characters to life. Such a fun story and I can't wait to read the next one!

Another five star read for me. I absolutely fell in love with Laura’s writing style when I read the first in the Brits in Manhattan serious and this second instalment did not disappoint.

In Two to Tango we meet Brooks ( a successful gym owner) and Izzy the slightly spoilt Brit who is living off her parents money and trying to make it big in the world of health and fitness. Brooks who is still recovering from having his heartbroken 17 years ago takes an instant dislike to Izzy’s personality but at the same time he is instantly attracted to her.

The pair are thrown together in a two week challenge where they have agreed to swap lifestyles and try out each others training and eating regimes. Brooks to try out salsa and dance moves to get fit, whilst eating only lean greens and smoothies, Izzy to work out in the gym to gain muscle and eating a protein based diet. Whilst not happy about it but both keen to prove each other wrong they set off in what can only be described as a turbulent relationship which soon develops into something more.

I really liked both of the characters, Brooks I found to be more relatable than Izzy, it took me a little while to warm to her if I’m honest but I loved how the story ended.

Two to Tango is the perfect beach read, easy to follow with some humour and mild spice thrown in.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC copy.

Far too similar to another book published by the same publisher.

This is the second book in this series, but can be read as a standalone. As someone who read it as a standalone, you’re going to want to read the first one when you’re done. It works though because Two To Tango by Laura Carter is impossible to put down. You fall in love with the characters and before you know it, the afternoon is over.

Meet Brooks. He hasn't had a relationship since he was seventeen. Instead he’s been concentrating on his business and his daughter. He never got over losing his first and only love. That all changes when he meets Izzy. She's a privileged, pampered princess who is used to getting what she wants. Brooks hates that. Will these two be able to survive obstacles, let their guards down, and open up to one another?

I love stories where the character challenge each other, and boy does this story deliver! Carter made me laugh, she made me cry, and she made me sweat with some super-intense chemistry! I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series because this was an enthralling read. Let me know what you think when you’re done reading!

This book is okay. I mean it's written well. But it wasn't for me. I just didn't gel with the characters of the storyline. Sorry

Two to Tango by Laura Carter.
British in manhatten book 2.

I did enjoy this book. I liked Brooks. Wasn't sure about Kerry. Izzy grew on me. I did not like Izzys parents. I did like the ending. 4*.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

I wasn't too fussed about this book. Enemies to lovers is such an overdone trope so I was hoping there would be a fresh take here. But it just read like any other romantic comedy novel on the market.

"Two To Tango" by Laura Carter is a hilarious enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud. Brooks Adams, the dedicated gym owner, and Izzy Coulthard, the British fitness influencer, clash in an escalating feud that fuels book sales and blog popularity. Despite their differences, the chemistry between Brooks and Izzy is undeniable, and their witty banter keeps the story engaging. While Izzy's initial actions make her a challenging character to like, her growth and transformation throughout the narrative are impressive. Brooks shines as a more sympathetic figure, adding depth to their dynamic. As they embark on a two-week challenge, living in close quarters, the tension between them takes a surprising turn. With a blend of humor, romance, and personal growth, "Two To Tango" delivers a delightful and entertaining read that will leave you cheering for these captivating characters.
