The most wonderful Christmassy read! Full of friendship, festivities, family and the most fantastic atmospheric location loaded with snow, Christmas’s trees and festive fare ! What more could you wish for to get into the Christmas spirit!
A trio of friends all very different but united by a shared past and a love of books. The annual book club get away has changed from summer to winter this year in a drastic change from the normal, along with a different vibe and a strange atmosphere!
However as the book evolves secrets are revealed, relationships scrutinised, and the most wonderful discoveries lead to such happiness, joy and a new found purpose for all involved! A real festive feel good read that I would highly recommend
Thank you NetGalley for this early read.

Sarah Morgan has written another great Christmas book. This one is not your typical romance novel but has some elements of romance but mostly it is about friendship and families found. A feel good story set in an idyllic Christmas setting. Recommend this book for Christmas.

Sarah Morgan is one of my favourite authors; I couldn’t wait to read her latest book and wasn’t disappointed. Told by four women, Harriet, Erica, Anna, and Claudia, all with untold secrets and at a turning point in their lives.
Harriet is working hard at running the hotel which was her husband’s dream. Now a widow, harassed by a temperamental chef and bullying housekeeper, she wants different things but feels unable to move on. Erica is a successful, independent woman, totally focused on her career with no family commitments. Chloe’s partner has left her and she has been made redundant, wondering which way to turn, and Anna feels lost as her teenage children are about to leave home for college. Each chapter of the book is told from different perspectives, which gives a more rounded, in depth picture.
This festive read is about relationships, friendships, and supporting each other when decisions need to be made. A real page turner which explores secrets as the story unfolds. The strength of the story is within its characters, they have their strengths and weaknesses brought to life by an expert hand.

There's some books that no matter how big your TBR pile is you know will go straight to the top.
Not only do I now want to read the Catherine Swift Thriller I feel like I'm ready for Christmas.
When the girls agree on a cosy Christmas Inn rather than a city break for their annual book club they get to know more about the owner and her life than most of them expected.
This really makes me remind why old friend who know you better than you know yourself are usually the best and when you stick together there's nothing you can't do

What a lovely Christmas story set in a beautiful location featuring a woman called Hattie who is the owner of Maple Sugar Inn and the struggles of being a single mother and running the inn after the tragic death of her husband.
When three friends arrive each with their own problems it proves a eventful week as they discover truths about each other and when all three rally round to help Hattie and her daughter have a good Christmas it really made me feel all warm and cosy.
I would highly recommend this book for Christmas as you will want to put it down.
Thanks to NetGalley & HQ for a ARC for a honest review.

I always enjoy Sarah Morgan’s books and this one did not disappoint. Although predictable, I worked out who was who and what was going to happen before it was revealed, the feel good factor is wonderful. I read the book in 2 sittings and it left me with a lovely warm feeling. Recommended.

Amma, Caludia and Erica have been best friends since collage. Now they are all turning forty, although they have very different lives, their friendship is as strong as ever. Every year they spend a week together to discuss a book one of then has chosen. This year they are having their book club week in December and have booked into the beautiful Maple Sugar Inn.
The inn is run by Hattie, a young woman bringing up her daughter alone after her husband died 2 years earlier. Hattie does everything she can to make her guests’ stays perfect but staffing issues are causing her more problems than any guest ever could.
A week in a cosy snow-covered Inn sounds idyllic but each of the women is hiding something and as the days unfold secrets are revealed and unexpected feelings come to the fore.
This is a wonderful Christmassy book full of friendship, family, and the magic of Christmas.

Another fabulous festive book from Sarah. Loved the idea of the inn in Vermont as a winter holiday destination. Great characters (who need to make some changes), family secrets, a family dog and an inquisitive five year old plus a book club having a week away. Loved escaping into this story.

Another amazingly beautiful Sarah Morgan book. A feel good Christmas story, filled with such good plot lines around 4 different women and how they come together. I loved that it was based around a book club also and the setting was just magickal. I devoured it in just over 24 hours, could not put it down!
Thank you to the author, publisher and netgalley for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

What a lovely feel good book this was. Great characters you got into from the off matched with a storyline that was very enjoyable to read.

The Christmas Book Club is the prefect warm cozy read for the festive season. It’s a tale of friendship and family, of love and new beginnings. It’s set in a picturesque inn in Vermont where the language is so descriptive you can almost feel the flurries of snow against your cheek and taste the delicious sounding food. It’s a warm-hearted, feel good read that did bit disappoint. Thank you to NetGalley, HQ age the author for the chance to review.

so Sarah Morgan! . you have done it again.
A combination of Christmas and love of books in the book club, excellent characters that pull you into the story and I believe you will love this latest novel.

Well done Sarah, this story has given me all the Christmas feels, Anna, Erica, Claudia and Hattie are characters so well written that their stories flow from the page in a never ending display of love and friendship and I hope we get to visit with them again

With 'Christmas' and 'Book Club' in the title, this book sounded right up my street!
Three friends, Erica, Anna and Claudia, book into a beautuful, festive Vermont Hotel for a week of books and relaxation. Three very different individuals, the first third of the book introduces us to them and builds towards the main storylines.
The hotel is owned by Hattie, a young widow who appears to have some connection to Erica.
This is a very enjoyable fireside read with a great story.

Erica, Claudia, and Anna always go away for a book club week. This year they're having to go at Christmas. They got to the Maple Sugar Inn and meet Hattie the owner of the inn who's still grieving after the tragic death of her husband Brent. All of the things they've kept from each other all start to come out.

As I have said many times...I do love a Sarah Morgan book - especially a Christmas one! The Christmas Book Club is a story about 3 friends, each very different to the others in personality, attitude and how they live their lives. Brought together by a love of books, their friendship remains strong even though they aren’t in close proximity except for when they meet up once a year for Book Club week.
It’s easy to recognise something of myself in bits of each of the 3 characters and it became very personal. I loved the stories of each of them and the additional woman who enters their lives and how the characters develop through struggle, pain, loss, love and hope.
What a wonderful Christmas story - thank you Sarah!
Thanks to Netgalley for this early copy of the book for this review.

The Christmas book club is a fun and festive read by sarah. It is always great to get lost in the pages of Sarah's books and this one is no exception. Fun, fabulous and christmassy.

I enjoy Sarah Morgan books. They fill you with joy. This story is about friendship and looking at your life at 40. The turning point for so many. This story covers all areas. Some were flagged early on and it was easy to see where the plot was going, others a bit more of a curved ball and were a surprise. I did not enjoy this as others I have read by this author but definitely a book to curl up with by a fire when the season gets colder.
Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for the advance copy of this book.

Sarah Morgan has provided us with another seasonal crowd pleaser with "The Christmas Book Club". The main characters are 4 women; three college friends aged about 40 who meet up every year for a week, ostensibly to discuss a book, and the 28 year old widow who owns the inn in Vermont where they stay. This book could easily be made in to a film as there is also the wonderfully precocious daughter of Hattie (innkeeper) to include in the mix. Add to this the fact that this is set in December, with plenty of snow and preparations for Christmas, and it would be difficult to go wrong.
As usual with Sarah Morgan's books there is plenty of drama and emotions, some romance and great characters. Definitely one to add to the Christmas stocking of your favourite bookworms.
Thanks to Net Galley and the publishers for the opportunity to review this book.

I like how Sarah's books are set around Christmas time but are not all about Christmas.
The Christmas Book Club (The Book Club Hotel in the US) is such a feel good book!! With characters my age I felt more connected to them even if we didn't share the same experiences.
The way these women supported each other was so nice to see. All with different lives and their personal dramas. The nod to last Sarah's book main charater was a nice touch, as she was the writer of the book these friends read for their book club.
I recommend this!!
