This was an intriguing book. This one only proves that cheating indigenous people out of their properties isn't only an American sin.

Waiser continues to be an excellent chronicler of the history of Central and Western Canada. His trenchant critique of the Laurier Liberals' dispossession of Indigenous land is a necessary corrective to a history that has long glossed over these government sanctioned crimes. An excellent text that provides background to much of the legal casework for land claims and restorative justice happening today. Further inclusion of Indigenous voices would strengthen this interesting history
