Sarah Ready has done it again! In her latest novel, she takes readers on a adventure of love, loss, and the journey towards personal acceptance of one's limits and potential. Jillian is a character that at times had my screaming at her to make one decision over the other. She is a loveable character that is organically clumsy and leaves you always wanting to root for her. She thinks she has it all figured out until she is confronted with an actual ghost that turns her logical, routine-filled world upside down. Ready is back with her iconic twists and turns that are rewarding as a reader in their freshness and organic resolutions.

Jillian has just moved into her new apartment when she encounters a half dressed handsome man in her apartment who happens to be a ghost that only she can see and talk to. Daniel, her ghost helps Jillian grow and let go of guilt she's been carrying around. It is an unlikely love story that crosses into the unknown and I absolutely loved it. The love of my life passed away and I like to think he's still with me as the quote from the book says, “And I’ll love you when we’re young, and I’ll love you when we’re old, and I’ll love you when we’re gone.” I listened to this book on audio and followed along on kindle when at home.

I always enjoy picking up a book by Ms Ready and this one was no different. Though I don't typically read much in the paranormal genre, this one is definitely a must read. I listened to this as an audiobook and the narrators did a fantastic job, really bringing the characters and story to life. Jillian and Daniel were wonderful characters and I couldn't help but become invested in their story. Jillian is a relationship expert and writes articles about relationships and dating, yet ironically has a difficult time herself talking to men. When she meets Daniel, all her insecurities melt away and she has no trouble at all talking to him. The only problem is that he is not living, but is a ghost. Daniel believes it is his mission to help Jillian in order for him to move on, so he decides to help her overcome her insecurities and be able to talk to men and find love. But as they spend more time together, a deep bond begins to form between them, but they both know they could never be together. The one person Jillian is falling for is the one she can't ever have.
The story was quite emotional and beautiful and will really pull at your heartstrings. I felt everything from humor and joy to sadness and heartbreak. I was completely taken in from the very beginning and remained engaged till the end. A sweet, wonderful story I truly enjoyed!
Thank you to Netgalley and W.W. Crown for providing a complimentary copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.

BOOK REVIEW: Ghosted by Sarah Ready ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Audiobook Narration by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkmann-❤️
Book Moods: finding love, friendship, ghost, overcoming insecurities, being yourself
I didn't love the first quarter of this book. It was funny, but there were some things that were off-putting. However, I'm so glad I kept going because it really was a cute, heartwarming book. I fell in love with the characters and the love story. A few twists, and it was a fun listen!
Thanks @netgalley!!

This book was so so cute! I absolutely adored Jillian and Daniel their relationship had me rooting for them from the very start. I really loved how Daniel encouraged Jillian in her career especially while she was struggling the most. Although I was a little uncertain about the "paranormal" aspect at first it flowed really well and just felt like the perfect plot choice. Overall I absolutely loved this book and will definitely be reading more from Sarah Ready in the future.

Ghosted by Sarah Ready is a fun concept I haven’t run across before. If you liked Sliding Doors or the Time Travelers Wife then this book is for you! Could you fall in love with a ghost? Maybe if he’s the only man you can talk to or maybe if he’s actually a great guy? The audio version was a fun way to enjoy the book.

What a fabulous love story with a different vibe.
Jillian is a relationship columnist with a lack of relationship experience. In her NYC appartment she is suddenly met with a ghostly apparation, who is rather good looking with a six pack! His name his Daniel. Their characters evolve together, they begin falling in love and even though they have an unconventional relationship they enjoy each others company. Daniel doesn't understand why he's there, but he begins to try and help Jillian navigate her relationships, particularly with the opposite sex and then one day Jillian finds Daniel has just disappeared.
Jillian once she gets over the upset begins a new adventure, opening herself up to a life that Daniel felt she deserved and the rest.....is Love.
I loved this audiobook, it was different, there were two narrators who were excellent a most enjoyable and different romance!

Loved Sarah's writing since devouring The Space Inbetween which I ADORED so I was eager to pick up this one.
When you read this, you really need to think outside of the box.
Like WIDE outside.
My confusion starts from when the heroine falls in love with a ghost that haunts her apartment and then said ghost disappears but then comes back as a live man who doesn't remember the FMC and then she tries to get him to fall for her by basically stalking him, then she nearly dies but he saves her and....
Well
Look I just need some one to talk to about that ending...
Because I don't quite understand it.. M
It's funny though because I can read Fantasy and not blink an eye but then I read a book like this where the heroine falls for the hero, A ghost and I'm like what is this frickery?
All in all, a fun enjoyable read!

This book gave me major A Knight in Shining Armour by Jude Deveraux vibes. This is the fun start to a new series by Sarah Ready with a mix of paranormal and love. Jillian writes a dating and relationship advice column which is only slightly ironic because she can't physically talk to men. Except for one who happens to literally pop into her life. Unfortunately for both of them, the only man Jillian CAN talk to is a ghost. As they try to help each other navigate life and death, their bond grows - but how can you love a ghost?! Is this even real? I listened to this on audio book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I give Ghosted 4 out of 5 stars.

I sunk right into this story and found it so endearing and fun. I love a book where I can't quite figure out how on earth they will make it work out - especially in a romance. Overall, this was a delightful sweet and unique romance with great connections between the characters and I'd definitely recommend it.

The idea was good and so was the narration, but sadly this story was not for me. I simply could not get on board with it.
I have heard other readers loved this story, so it is very personal that it was not the right book for me.

Ever had a bad date? Try 100 of them, then having a hot shirtless ghost going with you to them.
Jillian is a fantastic FMC. She is what is missing in many romance books. She is quirky, perfectly imperfect, and extremely relatable. She is not a cardboard cutout or copy and paste of the supposed dream girl. Don't get me wrong, I still eat those romance books up as well, Jillian just feels more human. It allows you to walk in her shoes and experience what she is feeling throughout this entire story.
Daniel is exactly what you want in a ghost boyfriend. He isn't afraid to speak his mind, his sense of humor shines through, and he is not ashamed to be known as a sex symbol.
When you finally get to see their relationship blossom in many ways, it is beautiful, heartfelt, and exactly what every hopeless romantic dreams.
<Spoilers Ahead>
Not going to lie, the ghost sex scene was not it. It felt very awkward (partly cause our FMC is a little awkward) but it just made me uncomfortable. Granted I did listen to this on audiobook so that may have affected this.
**Out of Context Spoilers** if ya know... ya know.
1. "That's a big spaceship."
2. Horny Ghost Energy
3. Reptilians
4. Rose Petal Desk (that chapter had me dying)
5. Is He a Hopper?
6. 2 weeks notice = marriage
7. Up against the windows ❤️🔥

This was such a fun read for me in spooky season. I absolutely devoured this story and will be recommending it to my friends. Now, I'm not typically one who would love a ghost and human romance. Somehow Sarah Ready made it so charming and dare I say believable? No matter, I found the story to be charming, the characters to be likeable and I just had fun reading it. I definitely enjoyed listening to the audiobook, the narrator did such a great job embodying the character of Jillian. Highly recommend and will be looking for more books by this author in the future.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an advanced copy of this book. All opinions within this review are my own.

This was quite a bit different than the typical ghost-romance. I was truly surprised by the twists and the outcome.

Jillian’s life is a mess but after moving into a dirt-cheap apartment, she soon finds out she has an unexpected roommate, Daniel (who is a ghost but also hot??) 🤷🏼
This is a paranormal romance which reminded me a bit of The Dead Romantics BUT with a mix of alternate reality / time travel? There was some fun banter but also a lot of personal growth, moving on from the past, and just learning to be comfortable/confident (+ some interesting characters). The endless blind dates and work drama were messy but it was fun seeing Jillian and Daniel build a connection. The story shifts partway through and I liked the switch in character povs. Overall, this was a fun, cute read!
Thanks NetGalley for my arc!

This was SO much fun. This is my first book from the author but it definitely won’t be my last.
Based on the synopsis I was definitely expecting this to be a quirky romance that was sweeter than the movie Ghost. I was imagining a corny Patrick Swayze and tender Demi Moore-esque couple with a lifetime movie HEA. And while not all of those expectations were wrong per se, this was actually so much more than that.
One of the most surprising things about this book was the SPICE. It really really worked and was totally unexpected given our FMC GIllian and her inability to talk to men. Daniel was way more smooth and suave than I expected, and I loved the banter and dating 101 tips he gave. He was effortlessly cool and yet also unexpectedly tender and thoughtful without feeling forced or overly perfect.
There’s a twist midway through this that I definitely wasn’t expecting. While I will say the story lagged a little after the twist, the pacing does ultimately pick up and come back around to create a more layered and swoony love story. Did I think this needed to be almost 500 pages long? No, you definitely felt the pages dragging on a bit after the halfway twist, but I did find the ending to be satisfying and really well done. It pulled everything back together and shows you just how much Gillian has come from the shy and awkward woman we meet in the beginning.
My one gripe other than some of the pacing in the second half is calling sex ‘making love’. This is definitely personal preference but I don’t even like using the term IRL and the fact that its used SO repeatedly mad me want to cringe. It would be a very hot and charged scene and then one of the characters saying “making love” would kind of douse the fire a bit for me. I also felt some of the dialogue at the very end, “my love”, felt a bit out of character, it just veered almost a bit too cheesy when the rest of the story felt very modern and grounded.
I’m excited to read more from the author and loved the NYC setting. This was a fresh twist on the Ghost movie storyline that surprises, charms, and delivers. Highly recommend, especially for the fall season!

Read this as an ARC through NetGalley & I am so happy I chose this story.
I don't usually read paranormal stories, but I quite enjoyed this one. This book is a bit long (457 pages) but I didn't mind. It was written as two parts. While the first half of the book was wonderful, the second half is what really pulled me in. Probably because the paranormal aspect subsided.
All in all it was a unique and lovely romance. The side characters were interesting with their own little stories. Looking forward to the next book to learn more about Serena.

“If I could live, I’d live for you” *swoooooon*
This books was everything. A complete emotional rollercoaster and nothing at all like I expected. I was skeptical from the start because I do not like a book that doesn’t have a HEA. I could not figure out how there could possibly be one in this book if only one half of the couple is already unalive. Sarah Ready kept me guessing the entire time.
This book was so much deeper than your average romcom while also being the exact heartwarming, charming story you are looking for. The book was pretty long but held my attention the entire way through. This is a hard review to write because I feel like it is best to go into this one completely blind, not knowing at all what to expect (which is exactly what I did). Just trust me when I say you will be feeling all the feels and your mind will be blown by the end!!

If you enjoy fantasy novels with a ghostly love connection, this one is for you. The story was cute, but also a little too far “out there” for me. But just because it wasn’t for me, doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it, so check it out! Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of the audio book in exchange for my honest feedback.

This was a fun listen that had moments of seriousness. I thought it was an enjoyable story and I'm glad I listened to it.
