Well that one packed a punch! Just when I think I know what I'm reading/ where it's all heading, Sarah Ready throws everything for a loop, turning the story into something else entirely
The narration was perfectly done. When it allows for u to sink so deeply into the story that you forget you're listening to it, not simply reading it yourself, that's when you know you've got expert narration on ur hands. All the emotive inflections, the incredulity, the tonal changes from one character to the next, from male to female, all so smoothly done and not in any way cheesy
In #ghosted we find Jillian moving into her very own apt. Though she is a dating/relationship expert columnist writer, she actually has trouble speaking to men, literally can't get a word out. So it seems odd she can speak to the shirtless man she catches in her apartment. Sure it was a hysterical moment but still... Until she realizes he's not really an actual person.
Why she's being haunted by this hot shirtless ghost she doesn't know, nor does Daniel know why he's there. Jillian tries to lose him but when she sees he's not going anywhere they decide it must be that they each need to help the other complete some mission in order for Daniel to be able to move on. So Daniel follows her around helping with her column, coaching her on her own love life, while Jillian tries to learn more about the Daniel that existed before his death. They fall into an easy rhythm, & with all the time they spend together this new friendship starts to turn into a connection neither can admit nor deny. Is it possible to cross that line with a ghost??
Then one day Daniel doesn't show up. Not the next day nor the one after that. And just like that he's gone, no goodbyes. Completed mission or not Jillian is distraught, & can't help but feel like there's something more to his disappearance. He might've helped her complete her mission but now Jillian is determined to help him with his...
I was so caught off guard by this story in the best of ways. I really didn't expect to feel it as deeply as I did. What sounds light, silly & fun actually turns into so much more, just wait for it u won't regret it

Jillian Nejat can’t talk to men. She is selectively mute, which has a massive impact on her life. This has not stopped her from going on dates. Well over 100 dates all set up by her parent’s neighbour, Fran. When she moves out of town to an apartment in New York she comes face to face with a man she can actually talk to. Shame he is a ghost. A hot ghost. With a six-pack and no shirt. Yet, Daniel becomes her rock. Her help through all the dates Fran sets her up on. Daniel helps Jillian with her job. He watches Jillian eat vicariously. It’s just gorgeous.
However, one day Daniel the ghost disappears. What happens next is a gorgeous story of love and loss. Then how to get it back.
This book was fun. I listened to it as an audiobook. The narrator was good, and I loved the New York accents. I really enjoyed the two main characters and the backwards and forwards from ghost to human. The rest would be a spoiler! The author has a lovely writing style that really lends itself to an audiobook.
Big thanks to Netgalley and Sarah Ready for this early release copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was excellent twist on a ghost romance. I absolutely loving Jillian and Daniel. Their love story is heartwarming, tragic, sad and hopeful. I also just may have to hug my kindle after. It’s that good. Especially if you’re a fan of unexpected twists and turns. We get so used to the typical romance formula but that got flipped a bit and I liked that it’s a book that’s keeping me guessing. I adore Jillian’s and Daniel’s family & Jillian’s close friends. They’re there to support both main characters. If you love Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon, you will love this book! This is my first book by the author & it will not be the last. Ghosted is turning into the perfect Romcom October read and one I’d definitely recommend checking out. I’m also listening to it & loved both narrators. I want to thank NetGalley, W.W Crown and the author herself for both my audio and e-book copies

Absolutely loved this book. I went through a whole range of emotions. I related to Jillian so much and loved the way story was woven together. Sarah Ready always knows how to make sure I cry and laugh and everything in between. Plus there’s always a happy ending.

Great read! Sarah Ready does romance that is not normal, each book is very different.
I am officially a Sarah Ready fan. This is her fourth book that I have read and I plan to read all of them as they are published. I do not normally read romance books but hers are funny, fun and different.
The premise of this book was really, really interesting. There were times I had no idea where this story was going. The characters were really fun to get to know. This one did drag a little which the other books did not. I would explain but I would ruin the book for those that have not read it.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job.
Keep them coming Sarah Ready!

Ghosted by Sarah Ready is a romance with a supernatural twist. The ghost story twist on a traditional contemporary romance was cute and reminded me of the movie Ghost. The romance was sexy but not over the top and both Jillian and Daniel are loveable characters with tons of chemistry. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I thought the pacing and plot were perfect!

This is only my second read by Sarah Ready and boy I cannot wait to read more! This was so emotional, unexpected, and just so so good. The ghost story was an awesome surprise and the delivery was amazing. Sarah does not disappoint. This one is 5 stars from me, audio was fantastic, highly recommend. Thank you so much to #NetGalley and #WWCrown for allowing me a copy to listen to in return for an honest review.

Have you ever felt like you have known someone you just met forever. This book is about falling in love out of time and what people will do to save each other.

"Ghosted" by Sarah Ready, narrated by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman, is a delightful and heartwarming audiobook that I thoroughly enjoyed. This contemporary romance tells the story of Rachel and Ian, who have a chance meeting in a coffee shop which leads to a unique and captivating romance. The plot takes unexpected twists as they navigate the complexities of modern dating and personal growth, keeping listeners hooked from start to finish.
First and foremost, the dual narration by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman is a standout feature of this audiobook. Their voices complement each other, creating an engaging and immersive listening experience. Sarah Naughton brilliantly captures Rachel's character, bringing out her humor and vulnerability, while Rob Brinkman does a fantastic job embodying Ian's charm and charisma.
The writing in "Ghosted" is witty and engaging, making it easy to connect with the characters and their experiences. The story has humorous and heartfelt moments that keep you invested in their journey. Sarah Ready's ability to create relatable characters and authentic dialogues adds depth to the overall narrative.
Its fresh take on modern dating and relationships sets this audiobook apart. It addresses the challenges and uncertainties of our digital age, making it a relevant and relatable story for listeners of all ages. While I thoroughly enjoyed "Ghosted," I rated it four stars instead of five because there were moments when the pacing felt a bit slow, and I wanted a little more development in some of the secondary characters.
In summary, "Ghosted" is a charming and contemporary romance audiobook that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you with a smile on your face. With exceptional narration and relatable characters, it's a must-listen for anyone looking for an entertaining and heartwarming love story.

Ghosted is a whole new take on the ghost romance in Ghosted. How can you not want to pick up a story about a half naked ghost romance? Was he a porn-star? Was he a gigolo? What is he doing half-naked here? These are the questions that Jillian is asking when she finds a friendly, six-pack heartthrob ghosting around her new apartment. Her life is a wreck, so why not add a ghost into the mix?
The premise for this book is so amazing. There is wonderful social anxiety representation and it is a deeply emotional story about healing, trauma, personal growth and, yes, romance. I love how this author weaves a story to include so many things, but not make it overbearing. This is such a beautiful romance between two people who are the most unlikely of lovebirds.
I listened to the audio of this one, and as usual the narrator did an excellent job. Her performance made me laugh out loud at moments and be able to feel Jillian's anxiety. I loved everything about the audiobook!
At about the halfway point in this book, it becomes a bit stalkerish. I am not sure if it was because I was also reading a thriller about a terrifying stalker at the same time as this one, but I really did not find the stalking cute or romantic. It made me really uncomfortable and I wasn't a huge fan of that part of the story. So if you don't like a love story about someone that is willing to risk it all, and be stalkerish about it., for love, then this is not the book for you.
Even though this is my least favorite by this author that I have read so far, there were so many amazing things in it. It was witty and had some very funny moments, while still being respectful of the loss Jillian had endured and her extreme social anxiety. I will continue to autobuy and recommend anything and everything Sarah Ready!

I loved this book and thought it was really good up until the very end. It honestly felt like it was forced for some reason. It was happy and it’s almost what I expected but it just didn’t feel like I wanted it to. I’m sure it’s just me though, so take this review with a grain of salt. Majority of the book was really great, a cool concept.
🌀Synopsis
Jillian’s column is struggling. She’s on her last leg with her employer. When she moves into a new apartment she’s stunned to find a ghost also inhabits it. And he’s a good looking ghost too!
Jillian has always had a hard time talking to men but she finds it easy to talk to this ghost- Daniel. Daniel comes and goes but they end up in some sort of relationship with each other. He even helps her with her column and it becomes successful again. Jillian is content to be in this relationship but Daniel knows it can’t last. One night after they get really close, he’s gone. Just gone.
Jillian is determined to find him again and alter the fate that turns him into a ghost. She’s going to work really hard though because he ends up being a really rich and closed off person.

I honestly wanted to love this book but it unfortunately just fell quite short for me.
The premise sounded great, I loved the main character and the twists that took place throughout, but the story itself was lacklustre and quite drawn out to the point that I hoped it was finished about 50% of the way through.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this title.

I really enjoyed this book. I don't typically listen to a lot of audio books but it was perfect to listen to in the car, on the treadmill or even when I was trying to block out the cubical noise at work!
I really thought the book was going to go in one direction and every time something happened to pivot in a different one, it was surprising and fun. Definitely worth a read!

I listened to this audiobook and honestly stopped about halfway through because I was so thrown off. I liked the characters but was kind of weirded out by the "physical" contact between the 2 main characters. Maybe weirded out is the wrong term, confused is possibly better. I'm glad I picked it back up and finished. I really enjoyed the friendly relationship between the main characters and loved it in the second half of the book. This book was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it and would read others by this author in the future.

Absolutely loved the book.
Easily one of my favorite book this year. Loved Daniel and Jillian. The narrator was perfect and i loved every twists and turns.
Absolutely recommended.

Overall I thought this book was cute, albeit a little too long. The fixation with being “together” with a ghost forever was a little much for me, (including the sex scenes, ick) but the ending made up for it. I can see why Jillian was so in love with Daniel though. Their banter and connection was cute. Ultimately this isn’t just a sappy rom com, it hits on some heavy topics as well and does a good job exploring grief and forgiving yourself. Thank you to netgalley for an advanced audio of Ghosted!

The audio was well done. There are two narrators, but the male is only heard during the second epilogue.

Jillian Nejat is the only dating and relationship expert on the planet who is incapable of speaking to men. If they’re living, if they’re breathing, it’s game over. With her bank account at zero, her career a dumpster fire, and her dating life in a ten-year slump, she moves into a tiny, dirt-cheap NYC apartment. Unfortunately, the apartment is already occupied. Daniel (no-last-name) is a sexy, shirtless, six-pack wielding heartthrob who is also…dead. He isn’t living. He isn’t breathing. He’s a ghost. He’s also the only man on the planet that Jillian can talk to. Soon, Daniel’s convinced that it’s his afterlife mission to resurrect Jillian’s love life. He knows, if he helps her fall in love then he can move on. But one practice date leads to another, one confession leads to more, and suddenly Jillian is falling for the one man she can never have.
I love a ghost relationship troupe. The quirky characters, the mystery around the ghost, and his importance in the main character, Jillian's life. It had me thoroughly entertained. I liked the first 60% of this book more than the end. Somewhere around 60% it started to slog for me and everything felt like it was going too slow. I think the author could have cut 50pages and still had a great story. Would i recommend this book? I’m honestly not sure. If the premise sounds good to you, give it a try!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Amazing! Spoilers included throughout this review with some “strong” opinions.
I loved this book! Listened to it thanks to NetGalley. It’s so moreish, I needed more and it was hard to put down. It was longer than I expected but I didn’t mind.
Great narrator as well.
So many twists and turns!! I had several theories throughout.
- is it Michael in a new “body”
- Is Daniel even real or in her head?
- Is Daniel in a coma?
I only saw the ending half coming, the twists that I didn’t see coming were amazing and it takes a great book to keep me guessing when I normally know what’s going to happen by chapter two!
I did see the “fake Daniel” coming. I would have liked more from Serena, she was underplayed.
“I was very jealous of myself” has to be one of the best lines in the whole book!
It made me cry several times, the worst place, the train. The okay place, on a coach with my hood up!
Totally recommended, it’s a “straight novel” and I normally read queer fiction but honestly I loved this!!
4.5 rounded up to 5⭐️ I didn’t want it to end, part of me was thinking the ending could have been more punchy but I have no idea how!
Did Daniel and Bernard make up?
I was not a fan of the second epilogue. It almost made the whole book a little cringe, might just be me but was not a fan! I didn’t even get the point of it, did anyone? Help!!
P.S. could we not have had Ned discover something for an ass whopping article??

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this audiobook. It was fantastic! I normally don’t enjoy paranormal stories but if it’s a paranormal romance, I’m all for it! I loved the movie Just Like Heaven and the book The Dead Romantics so Ghosted was right up my alley. I thought it was funny that Jillian’s career is writing a dating/relationship advice column but in her real life, she can’t speak to men haha (so relatable). This book was a very enjoyable read/listen, so I’m looking forward to diving into other books Sarah has written.

I REALLY love Sarah Ready's writing style so for the first third of the book I was totally in. I initially didn't think I would like this because of the paranormal aspect because I find it so cheesy a lot of the time but I actually liked the way she introduced it in this. However, my mind quickly changed when she started having sex with the ghost. The speed at which the relationship with the ghost developed was way too rushed and unrealistic. I really liked the other parts of the book when she got to know the real person though. Although, I did feel like that relationship was a bit rushed towards the end as well. They had such a natural incline and then their actual profession of love felt forced. Overall I thought this was a really cool concept and started off really great and had some other really interesting moments, also had a lot of unrealistic forced moments. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this advanced copy in can I help you exchange for an honest review.
