I don't know how it happens, maybe it's science? I really have no idea but the author's imagination pulls me in every single time.
Not because the stories are full of extreme adventure, or the characters are exciting dare devils. Not because there are chapters full of danger and suspense or bullies and heroes.
But because they are people, real people living somewhat average lives with extraordinary moments, experiences and/or meeting amazing people who see them as the kind heartfelt people they are and give them the opportunity to be more. That thing that we all want, to be seen and loved for us.
It's a fun, warm, inviting story. That I can't recommend enough.

Ohh myy!!! This one's just perfect for my taste! Unique, emotional, suspenseful, not so predictable and interesting. Not to mention the romance (both heartwarming and heartbreaking). It was like as if I was present there watching it all with my own eyes. It's one of those few books about which I fantasize and get emotional at nights before sleeping during the reading period. The ending was nothing like my crazy fantasies 😂 but I liked it. The only thing I didn't like was the 2nd epilogue, I just felt that was unnecessary. Other than that, the book is absolutely amazing!

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the eARC in exchange of an honest review.

Read this book RIGHT NOW!

Easily one of my favourite book this year. God, I haven’t had this much fun in so long. In fact I was in worst mood when I started but boom, I forgot everything and couldn’t put this book down.
God, I was laughing and snorting so hard from Page one. The banter, monologue and dialogue were fantastic. Each chapter was a delight to read.

Daniel and Jillian…..Where do I even start with them? My love for them is absolute!
Daniel was one se*y, smouldering ghost.
Their story took me through a roller coaster of emotions. First it deceptively made me fall in love then broke my heart, repaired and then broke again. I’m still hungover and I’ll never stop recommending this book.

The secondary characters were awesome. Like, they all were different and quirky but the way they stood and loved each other was… sigh!
Written so well with amazing plot, twists and turns it made me cry in two places when I was totally not expecting it. Like how the author scattered crumbs throughout the story and then later it all made sense.
Even at 70% I was thinking how freaking cute Daniel and Jillian was.

I have never read a book where New York is described this beautifully. Did I mention I loved the writing style?

Safe, TW (Michael broke my heart), and irrevocably recommended.

Those who love Star Trek, you Guys NEED to read this.

P.s Second epilogue? Yeah, i’m still not over it.

I had read a few of Sarah's books and really liked them and this book was really up there.

I was hooked on the book from the first chapter, I couldn't stop listening. I loved the concept, the characters, the plot and of course the romance.

The chemistry between the characters is amazing, the way it is written is beautiful and you can just delve into the book and let yourself go. Halfway through the book the plot takes a 180° turn but you still can't stop reading and worrying about the characters you've already grown fond of.

This book was a breath of fresh air for me and I really enjoyed it from start to finish. I can only say that this beautiful book was worth reading and you will not regret reading it.

Jillian is trying to make the best out of her current situation. She is woefully inept when it comes to talking to men and she rented an apartment sight unseen. Mirrors are everywhere and she has a ghost. Daniel is the ghost who won’t leave her alone.

This was a new premise for me and I enjoyed it. Their banter was fabulous and their connection was great. While I think it could have been a little shorter in length, the story had me wondering how they would find a way to be together. I listened and/or read parts of this book (in order to finish) and was surprised with some of the plot.

I thought the narrators did a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life. I received an ARC an audio ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Jillian is having a rough time. With love, her job, etc. She rents a cheap studio apartment, cheap because there are mirrors everywhere. Little did she know it came with a ghost as well. One who goes shirtless and is very good looking.

She is struggling to write a column on relationship advice. The ghost, Daniel, has no memory of his life but hopes helping Jillian with her column can help him move on.

This was a different, but enjoyable read. I love that this author's books are always a bit different, but that the characters and storyline are so engaging.

Many thanks to NetGalley and W. W. Crown for both an ARC and ALC in exchange for my honest review.

What happens when you meet your soulmate, but he's a ghost? Sarah Ready brings us a lovely story with plenty of paranormal twists, lots of nerdy (hey I think they are cool) references, much scientific mumbo jumbo, quirky characters (and I absolutely include Jillian's apartment in that catergory), some emotional pain and a bit of crazy too. Bit above all, she brings us a romantic story of two people who are meant to be, fated to save each other in every way. A fun, quirky, amazing love story.

BRBN Bingo Autumn Prompt: 'Super-Natural Main Character.'

I had read some of Ready's work before, so I already knew what to expect from that perspective when I picked up this new release. I wasn't disappointed! Although I'm not very familiar with the Paranormal Romance genre, I decided to give it a try and was happy to find that I really enjoyed it.

Certain parts of the story reminded me of the movies "Ghost" and "Meet Joe Black" from the 1990s, which was a good thing because I love both movies. The characters, Jillian and Daniel, were well-developed and unique, and the audiobook narration really brought them to life. The plot was emotional, with plenty of ups and downs that kept me interested and an unpredictable conclusion. I'm eagerly anticipating the release of book 2 in 2024.

The only negative thing I can say is that it was a bit slow for my taste, and I found the spicy parts to be a little strange. Despite that, I would recommend this book to fans of the author and anyone who is open-minded about paranormal stories.

'Ghosted' is out today - grab yourself a copy in time before the forthcoming spooky season.

Absolutely phenomenal! Thank you to Netgalley and W.W. Crown for this heart stopping audio/book!

I have never read a romance comedy and have been absolutely enamored! Sarah freaking Ready! You made me laugh, fall in love, shattered my heart to pieces…and then slowly put everything back together. I was ready to be okay with an ending where nothing went the way it should have and I would have been okay with it.

This book gave me Just Like Heaven vibes, the movie with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo. If you loved this movie as much as I did then we will love this book. It is different and similar, but in the most amazing ways. The storyline seems the same in the beginning, but Sarah throws in twist after twist. This book exceeded my expectations in a short amount of time. Sarah Ready, you have become a new favorite author of mine.

“If I could live,” he says, “I’d live for you.”

It was such a well-written book with many twists and turns!
At first it was a bit too slow for my liking, even though it was an insta-love story. I had a hard time liking Jullian unfortunately. I found her wanting Daniel to stay with her forever to be a bit selfish. Girl, let the dead guy finally find his peace. I get soulmates and all that, but still.
There was an interesting take on sex and intimacy though, nice representation!
However, the second part of the book was sooo good! A lot of the weird and questionable things were finally resolved. It wasn't too predictible. I was really looking forward to see their HEA happen!

Ghosted is the first book in the Ghosted series.

Jillian, an introverted, socially awkward, shy, dating and relationship expert (and huge Trekkie fan), who moves into a new apartment. As it turns out, it's completely haunted by a sexy, shirtless man. However, Things are never what they may seem.

Story:

⭐⭐⭐⭐💫/5

So this is basically a two-parter story. Things get WEIRD and totally WTF? by the second half. Jillian was completely relatable...OMG....to the point where I got secondhand embarrassment. I absolutely loved how much both Jillian and Daniel grew and learned from each other. I did hope for more of Daniel's viewpoint. He was also a likable character and it would have been interesting.

As I mentioned before, second half, things get weird. Interdimensional crossovers, timeline loops, Mandela Effect, whatever the heck you want to call them, makes my head hurt. It may have confused me a bit, HOWEVER, much kudos to this author for actually making this pretty plausible and realistic. This may have been a standalone, but definitely looking forward to Serena's story.

Narration:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Sarah Naughton and even though we got a little bit of Rob Brinkman, they both did such a fantastic job! Both narrators were so soothing and so full of life. It was fun listening to them bring them to life.

5⭐️ | 2🌶

I had the opportunity to read this ARC and I went in expecting the expected only to get surprised in the best possible way!

The story revolves around Jillian, a journalist who writes a dating advice column but is too scared to talk to men. A little bit geeky and plenty shy, she is quite relatable on how she handles her run-ins with a ghost who suddenly appears in her house. Soon, this very hot, and always shirtless ghost, follows her across the city, at her workplace, on her dates, and everywhere she goes. Daniel is everything you'd want from an MMC. What I loved the most, is Jillian's instant connection and ability to be herself around Daniel. He was the first man she could easily speak with and that was both surprising and exhilarating for her.

I loved every interaction between them and seeing Jillian slowly fall in love with the 1 person she couldn't have... the 1 person who didn't really exist anymore in the real world. My heart broke for her, seeing her fight her feelings and the newness of what she was going through was not something I was ready for.

This book had me sobbing at 3am, only to leave me smiling and then appalled in the end. I absolutely loved this story and would most certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a sexy paranormal romance.

P.S. Who knew paranormal smut would be a thing!
Not that I’m complaining !

GHOSTED by Sarah Ready is the first of this incredible writer's stories I've read and the sheer joy, energy, and wonderful of this book means I'm immediately going for more. Doing-well-but-not-great Jillian moves into a new apartment and immediately is greeted by a very friendly, sexy ghost of Daniel. So far, so good, but as Jillian falls in love with the impossible, she loses her reticence and opens to life, to love, to caring more about another person than she ever thought possible. The best thing about Ready's story is that it is flipped on us, about half way through, and the results are pure, unadulterated rom com delight. I received a copy of this book and these opinions are my own, unbiased thoughts.

“If I’d known my new apartment was a sex maniac's love den, I would have never invited my parents along.”

What a great first line for this paranormal romance! While this isn’t a genre I normally read, @sarahreadyauthor has quickly become one of my favorite comfort read authors. When I read one of her books, I know I will not be disappointed. I saw that both the ebook and audiobook were read now books on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to get both so that I could tandem read them.

Ghosted was everything I read Sarah’s books for, characters I love, fun storylines that sometimes deal with heavy topics in a sensitive way and are always binge worthy. I loved everything about Ghosted. It’s a must-read book!

Oh, how I love Sarah Ready’s books! There was only one miss of all I’ve read, though I do still have to read the Romeo series. She’s a fantastic storyteller who has our emotions running through their paces the entire time and brings everything around in the end to the most amazing HEA!

I wasn’t prepared for Ghosted - I had a vague idea of what it was from the blurb, but I just truly was not ready or totally expecting what I was getting myself into when I started. I came in thinking that Jillian (who can’t speak to men and has difficulty dating), meets and falls for the ghost of Daniel, who appears to only her. He’s the ghost she meets the day she moves into her new, extremely weird, apartment.

That is definitely how it started, but it quickly became so much more, and halfway through it’s a totally different experience and it goes in a very different direction (following the direction everything was going and you will understand as you read), and gets even better and just soooo good! I think with that storyline change (twist, I suppose), it might make it my favourite Sarah Ready book!

Whether you’re a fan of her books or not, you’re going to want to give this book a read. It’s excellent! I cannot wait until February now, when we get Switched, the book for Jillian’s best friend (a swap story involving the Large Hadron Collider!). But, if you’re going to get this one, go for the audio, which is narrated by the incredible Sarah Naughton, who I always enjoy listening to, and new-to-me Rob Brinkmann, who I enjoyed very much.

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and W.W. Crown, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles, and this is my honest feedback.

This book was unique, fun, and swoony. Jillian is terrified to speak to men after a past trauma in her life, until she comes face to face with a hot, shirtless ghost named Daniel in her new apartment. She can speak to him without any issues, so he wonders if his last mission on earth is to assist her in overcoming her fears so he can ‘move on’ to the afterlife. I’m a sucker for the dating coach trope, and it is even more fun when the coach can attend the dates as an invisible ghost with running commentary. Over several weeks, Jillian and Daniel fall head over heels for each other but then he abruptly disappears. Several weeks later, Jillian runs into Daniel (in the flesh) and quickly realizes he has no recollection of their time spent together while he was a ghost. In an effort to possibly prevent his future death, Jillian embarks on a mission to save him and possibly resuscitate their connection. This read had just enough suspense, twists, hilarious secondary characters, and real swoony tension that makes a perfect romance read. It has Dead Romanctics + Ghost vibes that I ate up! Sarah Ready is quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me. Thank you to NetGalley and Social Butterfly PR for my arc in exchange for me honest feedback.

Tropes Include:
Strangers to Friends to Lovers
Dating Coach
Paranormal (MMC is Ghost)
Second Chance Romance
Slow Burn

Ghosted was absolutely a 5 star read for me! I went in thinking it was going to be a cute rom-com, and it was so much more! I fell hard for the characters, and while I couldn't put the book down, I never wanted it to end! I laughed, I cried, and I had a book hangover when it was finished! This is one I will go back to over and over again! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review!

I want to thank the publisher and net galley for the chance to arc read this...
I am gonna be honest I thought this was gonna be up my ally, romance, paranormal. I was getting a little seven year slip or the life of addie, and it is not the case, Truthfully this book was just ok. nothing stuck out or stayed with me.

What would happen if I combined Ashley Poston’s The Dead Romantics (loved it) and The Love Hypothesis (loved it) and then sprinkled in the movie Ghost….

Well I think you would have this!

A magical realism of sorts with a bit of paranormal but ignore that part and focus on the magical realism.

My first by the author and I enjoyed it way more then I thought I would. The story was charming, made me smile and loved watching Jillian grow.

Now excuse me while I deep dive into her backlist because my booksta girls said I have to read The Space Between. I

Only two things I didn’t love were the “stalking” moments towards the middle and I felt like it could have been about 50 pages shorter. Too wordy when describing scenes like the ballroom etc.

I wanted to love this one a little bit more than I did. It's a fun ghostly rom-com, and it's well written and sweet, but pretty basic and a little insta-lovey. Loved the second epilogue.
