Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book in return for an honest review.
This book was so sweet! It takes on so many turns and you are hoping for the best the whole time. It starts off so strong but towards the end it started to fall for me, just a little! This book has a little bit of everything in and the romance is adorable. I would definitely recommend this book! I wish her friend or Fran was in the book a little bit more so it wasn’t so focused on just the romance. The narrator was amazing! She was really captivating and kept the story moving nicely! She did a great job with the different characters’ voices. Would definitely listen to more books from this narrator.

Dating is tough enough and adding the element of the undead is not relationship goals. Can true love overcome getting ghosted? Ghosted is a heartwarming story about love, loss, and second chances. It is trope heavy, but Ready makes this story unique with a fine mix of dynamic dialogue and full bodied (even if one is transparent) characters. Jillian is complex and likable and Daniel is charming and complex. The supporting cast is also well developed and add to the humor and warmth. The ending s a little predictable, but the journey to the HEA has enough turns and twists to keep you engaged. Loved the balance of humor, romance, and overcoming obstacles. Highly recommend!.

This was a good refreshing read that found me exactly when I needed it
I enjoyed and had a good laugh, I found myself smiling ever so often from all the main leads interactions ( I even learned a few dating tips 😜)
I found all the characters fascinating despite having their odd and unique personalities
I even thought the daily expose team would be a fun and weird group to work with
The plot was intriguing and although I was skeptical about it and it had a bit of confusion since I still don’t understand how Daniel could be both a ghost and alive at the same time, I still loved it
What I didn’t like:-
Sometimes I found myself skipping a few lines because they held too much explanation and random theories on the phone calls
All in all , it was a lovely book and I give it a 3.5 star and I’d recommend it to anyone who wishes to get lost in a fun, quick beautiful romance with a good laugh

3.5/5 stars - thank you netgalley, the author & publisher for an earc in an exchange for an honest review.
the pacing of this book felt off, mostly because i had a good time with the first 20%, a horrible time up until 60%, and it was wonderful after that. the beginning felt unnecessarily long and the middle didn’t offer much, but once the “plot twist” happened i was sucked in. i think it could have had maybe a tad better execution or been introduced earlier, but it also felt incredibly impactful.
the second epilogue deserves a thousand stars on its own accord.
i would love to see if anything else comes of this book or alternate, similar stories. i think the premise is awesome and it’s certainly not a new story by any means but i am a sucker for love and second chances and the like

‘Ghosted’ by Sarah Ready is a ‘pull at your heart strings’ romance novel based on Jillian and Daniel. Jillian is a romance and relationship column writer, has been on over 100 dates, but strangely finds it hard to talk to men. Daniel, well he is a ghost, and a hot one at that! The story takes us through their kindling romance, leaving us wondering early on if a relationship can blossom between the two.
Sarah Ready made me fall in love with a ghost early on in the book. The writing was fast paced and so many events happened in the story, the reader is on the edge of their seat wondering what will come next. At first the story reminded me of ‘Just Like Heaven’ and the banter between Jillian and Daniel was exceptional! At the 60% mark we are taken on a journey we did not see coming. This is a heartwarming, romance novel that everyone should read.
Thank you NetGalley and W.W. Crown for the advanced copy.
Rating: 4/5 stars

"Ghosted" by Sarah Ready holds undeniable potential, though I can't help but wish it were a draft instead of a final copy. With a few adjustments, this could blossom into an outstanding romance novel. While the initial half is marred by unnecessary gimmicks, weak relationship development, and questionable views on mental health, the latter half largely rectifies these issues, introducing charming characters and a captivating premise.
Let's break down the basics: Jillian, an attractive trekkie, struggles to talk with men despite her role as a romance columnist. A move to a new apartment reveals a haunting surprise—a sexy, shirtless ghost named Daniel, with whom she CAN communicate. Daniel takes it upon himself to revitalize Jillian's love life, leading to a seemingly impossible romance between the two.
You might be wondering, as I did, whether "Ghosted" resembles the Reese Witherspoon/Mark Ruffalo movie "Just Like Heaven." The answer is no. Daniel isn't in a coma. The narrative takes an unforeseen and engaging twist around halfway through, making the journey through the initial half almost worthwhile. However, discussing this twist without spoiling its surprise proves challenging.
Now, onto my grievances. Jillian's struggle with talking to men feels entirely superfluous and, quite honestly, infuriating. Her difficulty extends beyond interacting with attractive men; she can't speak to ANY men. The author attempts to rationalize this as a response to grief that's resistant to therapy. In my view, Jillian's predicament is treated far too lightly. This isn't mere shyness—it's almost akin to selective mutism, demanding more concern and help from those around her.
Furthermore, it's hard to believe that a woman who's both a virgin and unable to talk with men could sustain a job as a love expert for NINE years. It's simply implausible. This mute-with-men romance columnist angle seems like a catchy soundbite for a book blurb, detracting from the central romance. Jillian and Daniel's ill-fated love story would hold more authenticity without this contrived element. A paranormal love tale filled with playful banter and sexual tension would be far more compelling than awkward anxieties and Star Trek references.
In conclusion, "Ghosted" begins with a distinctive concept that regrettably gets clouded by vexing contrivances and unrealistic relationship dynamics. However, Sarah Ready salvages the story quality with an unexpected twist that surfaces midway. This twist ushers in an even more distinctive premise, lovable characters, and a much more credible romance.

Is love unfinished business? Or can you just keep loving someone, even if you’re not together and they don’t know that you do? Is that the end of it? Is that finished business?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow, OMG, I really loved this book! Ghosted got me completely hooked from the start and I could not stop reading until I devoured it! I simply could not stop rooting for its protagonists. Jillian and Daniel have an out of this world chemistry. Even when Daniel was a ghost and he and Jillian could not even touch, I swear I could feel their tension and all their love!
Both the love story and the supernatural narrative got me hanging on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the very end! I swear this book made me hold my breath and I may have even yelled a few times while reading. So, there's nothing left for me to do but recommend this book over and over again!
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

great book wow. recommend having nothing else to do but read for a day or 2. the character development was great as as well as the plot.

I found the first half-ish of this book difficult to read, but by the last half I didn't want to stop. The very last page of the book was a brilliant ending.
I give this book 3.5 stars rounded up: I (eventually) didn't want to put it down and am sad it's over. As I said, the first half or so of the book took a bit of effort to get through. It was a bit too unbelievable, and not even because of the ghost! I never really understood why Jillian could not talk to men, even outside of romantic situations. Not even to order a coffee! Yes, yes there is a bit of an explanation for it eventually but it still didn't entirely make sense. Just seemed entirely implausible to even get by in life like that, and then throw an instant-in-love ghost in the mix and it was a bit difficult to take seriously.
BUT! The second half of the book almost makes up for it entirely. It deviates from the cliche-ness of the first half, bringing a unique storyline that is a rollercoaster of emotions. The ending of the book ties everything together really nicely, and I'm really glad I powered through the first part of the book.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

This started out promising but took a turn when the MFC stared having s*x with a ghost. I'm supposed to believe that she's incapable of talking to men but she's able to have s*x with a ghost?! Not for me.

With a unique and interesting concept, Ghosted by Sarah Ready is about two people who first meet in the weirdest circumstances (where one of them is a ghost) find each other again and again despite the odds.
Summary: Jillian Nejat moves into her new apartment and meets a handsome shirtless man… who is also dead. Through eager to get rid of him at first, the two soon become closer.
Tropes/Genres:
• strangers to friends to lovers
• paranormal (ghost)
• science fiction
• contemporary fiction
I find the concept of this book very interesting. For starters, there’s a ghost! While I was reading, I made a theory for the two main characters (a human woman and a ghost man) to have a happy ending, but the story was way more complicated than that. It’s actually nice that what I got wasn’t what I’d expected. The best part is that it made sense!
The concept of always finding each other is just so nice. And I feel like the reactions of the characters just make sense. I also like how the author gave a scientific explanation (or hypothesis) regarding the existence of ghosts. And while Jillian and Daniel are cute, I also love Hayley and Bernardo. The people at The Daily Exposé are also so fun! I like how everything in the story ties together.
I recommend this book to readers who want to try a fast-paced romance that’s a bit different from others. I personally enjoyed this read, but some people may be weirded out by the concept, especially of getting turned on and making love through the mind even though it’s an actual thing. I feel the distraught of knowing one may have to part someday due to fundamental differences, which in this case is the fact that one of them is a ghost. It’s worth a read if you’re open to new things! I’m certainly open to rereading this book just to see if I’ve missed anything. There are also Star Trek references in this book since the main character is a trekker, as she calls herself, so if you love Star Trek, perhaps you can connect with Jillian!
Thank you, NetGalley, for the read!

Jillian can’t talk to men at all until she meets Daniel. The only catch is that Daniel is a ghost living in her new apartment in Manhattan, and although Jillian can talk to Daniel just fine, they can never touch. Daniel decides his mission is to help Jillian become comfortable with dating so that she can fall in love, and when she does he will be able to move on. His lessons work a little too well, though, as Jillian does fall in love - with Daniel. She can’t build a life with someone who isn’t living, but Jillian soon learns that things aren’t exactly as they seem with her ghostly love.
It’s a testament to Sarah Ready’s skill as an author that I’ve now read three titles by her this year that were absolutely nothing alike but all enjoyable. I loved the little Easter eggs in this one that call back to The Space Between. This one was honestly a little bit silly, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

It was a good read, reminded me of the movie. Thank you NetGalley and author for giving me of the opportunity to read it.

This was an exquisitely crafted comedic and scientific genius. Sarah Ready 's words flow; sweet as honey and sleek as hot knife through butter. With:
-carefully fleshed out characters
-a unique plot take
-multi-genre infusion (paranormal, mystery, fanfic)
-delicately-written romance
-attention-gripping banter and wit
-warm emotions and descriptions that tickle the reader's imagination,
I am an absolute sucker for how she writes.
Ghosted kicked off and took me on a cheesy ride infused with laughter and longing. My favourite swoony parts were the latter, from when Daniel was a ghost🤭
We get pulled in with several flaws and realistic backstories that explain how and why the MCs are the way that they are. We get to learn how they both overcame their emotional and psychological obstacles. Through each other and also personal individual growth/character development.
Alternatively, the transition from the first to second parts of the story didn't exactly spell well for me seeing as it took me way longer to get through the rebuilding of their relationship and the overall back and forth.
The plot twist/grand reveal also didn't catch me by surprise (i think this might be because i spent a good amount of time during reading pauses overthinking who Daniel was and how the entire 'ghost' situation came to be😭)
Cheesy. Relaxing. Engaging. An emotional rollercoaster. A little creepy but the author's constant hilarity makes up for it😂. I'd actually love to see this made into a movie👀

Book Review 📚
Ghosted by Sarah Ready - 4/5 ⭐
A paranormal romance that gets right in the feels! I went in a journey of emotions with this book, and it was so addictive I couldn't put it down. Who needs to socialise anyway, right?
Without giving to much away, we've a male ghost (Daniel) who can only be seen by our female (Jillian). And they set out on a rollercoaster of a ride together, trying to deft the odds of their love and piece together their lives. It was heartbreaking yet happiness all in one.
The characters were described perfectly by Ready, she couldn't of done a better job in trying to imagine the characters. Ready set out the story perfectly and it had a nice pace to keep you wanting to go on until you was done. There was serious effort from the author and was absolutely phenomenal.
Thank you to NetGalley and W.W Crown for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.

I can’t get enough of Sarah Ready’s books! I also absolutely love a ghost romance, they’re my kryptonite and this one might well be the best one yet. This book leads you on such a wild ride and since Daniel can’t remember who he is or what’s happened to him, it’s so easy to get lost in the narrative he and Jillian are piecing together. I’m also thoroughly obsessed with their romance, their impossible love story, and in general, Daniel’s character. How he berates people that can’t see or hear him, that he supports Jillian, and how he sees the world. I think I fell a little bit in love with him too.
I have to say, I thought I’d predicted where this story was going pretty early on and I was completely and utterly wrong and I’ve never been happier. I couldn’t have ever imagined the journey that Sarah Ready was taking me on and it was such a creative approach to the ghostly romance. It did go a little slower paced in the middle which was a necessity due to the storyline but otherwise, this had me hooked from start to finish.
I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

"if I could give you anything, I'd give you heaven." 3.5/5
this is unlike anything I've ever read before. I don't have much experience with paranormal romances so I went into this completely blind. Daniel and Jillian's love shined right through. I typically am not a fan of insta love tropes but I feel in this situation, it worked since Jillian was a little awkward when it came to men and dating. the feels this book gave!!! Daniel's communication, reassurance and overall personality was wonderful and said all the right things to make Jillian and you as the reader fall in love with him.
Sarah's writing was very easy to get sucked into.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Boy oh boy.. Sarah Ready really threw me off with this book. I still stand my my prior statements I will continue reading any books she writes however, I was not ready for such a paranormal romance. Jillian moves into a new apartment but she’s not the only tenant. A tad confusing but gave me lots of feels. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

So I didn't know if I was going to carry on reading this book it was ok but just lacked something to keep me hooked I kept going and I loved the last 45% of it but the first half wasn't for me
