Nice a lot alike the movie and nice
But weird and paranormal is not for me
I tried
Cute not exceptional
Thanks for the ARC author and NetGalley
This book. There were times I was thinking this is so out there but also I couldn't put it down. The multilayer timeline kept the story in line and consistently interesting. This is my third book from her and all so vastly different, I imagine her author brain is a wild place to be!

Wow. This book started a bit slow for my usual tastes, with a bit too much suspension of disbelief at first, but then halfway through, really kicked off. It was a fabulous read. I loved the science-nerdy, sci-fi bits thrown in too, really resonated with me. Reminded me of Ali Hazelwood’s writing. The characters were very well fleshed out, the first half was a bit murky and bleak, but the mood and tone brightens and the characters really emerge in the second half. There was one small typo I noticed in the first paragraph of Chapter 3, expect instead of except, but otherwise flawlessly written. For future readers, I don’t want to give too much away - this book is an experience! It’s a well-written, enthralling character-driven romance, and you won’t regret the read!
I didn’t expect to like this book as much as I did, since paranormal rom-com isn’t my go-to genre. It grabbed me right from the start!! I loved the characters - especially Daniel! The storyline was interesting and definitely pulls at the heartstrings with the idea of true love being attainable no matter what.
Thanks to NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!
I love Sarah Ready's writing style and I've enjoyed every book I've read by her. This is another winner with a paranormal element that adds an intriguing layer to this unique romance. I wasn't sure how this was going to work out, but I was pleasantly surprised at the twist in the story. The chemistry between Daniel and Jillian is felt immediately and only gets stronger/better as the story continues. There are many funny moments and I enjoyed the creepy weirdness of the mirrored apartment that made me laugh out loud. I listened to the audiobook, wonderfully narrated by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman, and was delightfully entertained.
I read this as an audio book as well as on my kindle

I absolutely loved this story. I loved Jillian's nervous and anxious energy. I related to her a lot. Daniel was funny and charming and I thought the premise of the story was incredible. This story wasn't ground breaking but it was a cute and funny twist on your normal romance books and I would defiantly say is a must read.
I stayed up all night reading this book. Sarah Ready is an amazing author! This is the third book I have read by her and they have all been so good. I love how she builds the characters and I always get immersed in their world. Ghosted is a beautiful love story. The author broke my heart and then slowly repaired the cracks. I can't recommend this book enough! I devoured this book and I'm sad that I read it so fast because I don't want to leave these characters. I can't wait for Sarah Ready to put out another book!
I am so absolutely in love with this book! It's cute and quirky, with a little bit of sexy thrown in, and I had so much fun with it that I didn't want it to end. French Holiday was one of my favorite finds of this year, so I immediately knew I wanted to read Ghosted by that alone, and Sarah Ready did not disappoint me!
I loved Jillian's character because I just adore quirky characters. It was very weird to me that she literally can't speak to men, tho, even when ordering a coffee. But once you find out what happened later it makes a little more sense, and it didn't hinder my love for the story at all.
Lots of laughs and all the feels, I flew through this and couldn't put it down.
Thank you so much to WW Crown and NetGalley for the digital arc for my honest review. 5/5 stars
Jullian Nejat is a shy girl that can't speak to men, she is also the dating and relationship expert at the Daily Expose on the brink of losing her job due to low subscriber rates and mediocre articles. When she moves into a new apartment filled with mirrors a ghost Daniel appears. She starts to fall in love with him, but knows it can't lead to anything. When the ghost Daniel disappears, she sees the living Daniel and must try to save his life.
📖 Ghosted x Sarah Ready
Moving for most is a love-hate relationship. It can be dreadful but also exciting to start a new chapter in a new house/location.
Jillian moves to a new home to be closer to her work, but ends up with a little more than she bargained for. A new apartment bought practically sight unseen leads to this unconventional apartment that is already occupied by a “tenant.”
Jillian is incapable of speaking to majority of men who have a pulse but once Daniel shows up in her new apartment she to converse freely with him. Why? Our handsome, shirtless Daniel has no reflection and fades in and out. He’s a ghost that only Jillian can see.
Jillian and Daniel are bounded souls and in order for him to move on they must work together to help one another.
The story is a cute and quick read. It is the first story I’ve read with this type of storyline. I didn’t expect the plot twist towards the last 33% of the story. There were a couple of parts that threw me for a loop just for the simple fact that my own personal notions of what I was thinking was not what happened in the book.
Favorite 💬: “Because you deserve dinner and conversation, and a movie, and flowers if you want. So when we make love tonight, you won’t think this is a one-night deal. It’s not.” - Daniel, Chapter 49

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for providing the arc of this book, all opinions are my own.
So this was quite an engaging read, I haven't read any paranormal romances before so I was intrigued by the premise and. wanted to know how the story will progress. It doesn't follow a linear plot which I found interesting, but the scientific explanation and details that are provided here just did not make sense and were simply redundant. I understand trying to explain ghosts and way things happen but i believe it could have been done in some other way like taking the magical reality path than using quantum physics(?). I did end up rooting for the main characters inspite of not agreeing with a lot of decisions they were taking in the second half, some quite questionable ones. Overall i enjoyed my reading experience but I believe it could have been even better.
The audiobook for this helps a lot in making the story engaging and the narrator does a very good job for the characters.
I am so glad I was able to read this ARC because I loved this story. It tells a different type of love story that involves a human and a ghost. The relationship developing between Jillian and Daniel with their banter and sweet moments were truly my favorite part of the story. Jillian realizes there may be a reason why Daniel is there when she moves into her new apartment (she needs to help him "move on") while Daniel realizes he needs to help her. As they move through the story, you can see how much they benefit each other as they figure things out. I truly loved this story so much and cannot wait for it to come out in physical form, so I can buy a copy!
Such a unique book, I loved the plot, and oh my god the characters we're so amazing!! I definitely will be recommending it!!
Ghosted is such a unique and captivating paranormal love story about finding love, experiencing grief/loss and the trials and tribulations of working through a journey of self discovery. It is incredibly emotional, heartwarming and full of hope, good banter and wit.
There were several points that I thought, this must be the conclusion but oh no! The story kept going and more and more was revealed. There were several plot points that I did not see coming, so it’s aways nice to be surprised and kept on my toes. I particularly loved the twist on where Daniel kept disappearing to and how other characters are pulled into the overall conclusion. The chemistry between Jillian and Daniel was so good and I was praying for this to have a happy ending If you want something to get you right the feels then look no further.
(I read this on my kindle and listened to the audiobook.)
Thank you for giving my daughters & I the opportunity to read this book! I enjoyed it! The "love plot" felt rushed, as I don't think they would have fallen in love so quickly. I wanted to know sooner why the main character didn't speak to men. I wanted to get to the ending faster. I love the matchmaker aspect, and appreciated the details of all the characters. This was a fantastic plane read, but I'm not confident it was appropriate for middle grade or young adult. Thank you!!
Easily a 4.5/5: thank you SO much NetGalley for the read!
Sarah Ready is an auto-read for me, and "Ghosted" is no exception. I've never really been into the Ghost based romance trope, but this works really well.
Jillian, a relationship-reporter with serious unresolved PTSD regarding her ability to 'talk' to men, meets Daniel, a ghost who swears they are friends. Their love story is deep, the chemistry is intense for very little steam before the 50% mark, and his ability to help her come out of her shell is adorable and so genuine.
I particularly loved the second half of this book, once you learned how Daniel died and what Jillian does to get him 'back'. It's romantic, intense, fast paced, and despite being rooted in a ghost story: very real. You rooted for them from moment one, and yet at the same time in the moments that drew them apart, rooted for Jillian to grow as a character alone. That's a really hard balance to pull off, but Ready does it brilliantly.
I struggle to put this on the same level as some of her other books, but it really is fantastic!
I did not expect to love this book as much as I did especially with all the Star Trek references as I’m not a “Trekkie”, but this gave me allllllll the feels and I ATE THIS UP. This is a paranormal rom-com that was heartwarming and with great character development.
Jillian is a “love expert” who gives dating advice through her ‘Just Julian’ column section of and online news site (The Daily Exposé). Ironically, she has 0 to none (successful) dating experience as she physically can not talk to men. She’s been on over 150 dates, but quite literally can’t engage in conversation. That is, until a handsome, shirtless spirit appears in her new apartment named Daniel.
Daniel is initially in denial that he is dead, but after getting confirmation from a psychic, he concludes that his unfinished business on Earth is to helping Jillian out with her dating life and career that seems to be going downhill.
This book reminded me a lot of the movie Just Like Heaven starring Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo, which could be why I also adored this book so much. However, there are still so many other subplots, elements, and twists that it’s still a completely different and unique storyline. And the bonus epilogue.. just, wow. 🥹🥹
I alternated between the ebook and audiobook and equally enjoyed both. Sarah Naughton did an AMAZING job at narrating and bringing each characters personalities to life. A million thanks to NetGalley and W. W. Crown for the opportunity to get to both read and listen to this phenomenal book. This was my first Sarah Ready book, but it definitely won’t be my last!
Having really enjoyed Reddy's previous romance book, I was looking forward to this. It was, unfortunately, just ok. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't distinctly enjoyable either.
3.5 stars rounded up. I should start off by saying Sarah Ready is an auto-read author for me and I didn't even read the synopsis before starting this book. I think if I read the synopsis I would have realized that I should probably have skipped this book. I am not into ghosts or books about ghosts (although the title should have cued me). There are also many references to Star Trek that I am not at all familiar with. I almost DNF'd around 30% when our main character Jillian made love to a ghost (what??????). However, I was curious enough to see how the love story evolved so I kept on. I did enjoy the latter half of the book more. I was invested enough into the characters to see how their story played out, but my mind was still stuck on the making love to a ghost thing. This was not my favorite Sarah Ready book, but it was well written with lovable characters and I think many will enjoy this book.
Thanks to Netgalley and W.W. Crown, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles for a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I throughly enjoyed this book and I loved the characters. The main character is dealing with major guilt over a traumatic event in her past that has significantly compromised her ability to live and enjoy the present. The book was about her learning to heal and forgive herself while also exploring a mystery and new surprise romance.
This book crossed over multiple genres including romance, mystery and fantasy/scifi. If you like the Mediator series by Meg Cabot when you were younger or paranormal romances in general then I think you will like this book.
