Ghosted is a lovely, entertaining, surprising, and incredibly romantic story.
Jillian Nejat is a writer for the dating advice column for The Exposé. Ironically, Jillian has a hard time dating herself because, well, she can't talk to men. Literally. She's just moved to an apartment that looks like the set of a porno movie (hey, it's NYC, you're lucky to get an apartment that is not the size of a broom closet for a decent price). And her apartment comes with a... ghost! Daniel. A gorgeous, shirtless man that she can (WTH?!) talk to. After the initial shock, Jillian and Daniel have to learn to live with each other and figure out what they can do so that he can "move towards the light". Too bad neither one wants it to happen...
What a lovely, romantic story that has so many twists and turns that it will keep you guessing until the end!
It's full of Star Trek references (my trekkie heart was full!), the side characters are fun and interesting and the story is utterly romantic!
Forget the other "ghost in the apartment" stories you know because this is a brand new take on the "I'll always find you" and it's so so swoony! Yes, you can have an HEA with a ghost! Trust me!
Narration: Told entirely through Jillian's POV, this is basically solo narration by Sarah Naughton, who's new to me. She does a phenomenal job carrying the story. There is a little cherry on the top with the second epilogue narrated in Daniel's POV by Rob Brinkman, who proves to us that Daniel is indeed to die for.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks to Sarah Ready and NetGalley for the advanced copies of the book and audiobook.

4/5 ☆ !!!
Thank you W.W Crown, IBPA and Netgalley for an ARC of ‘Ghosted’ by Sarah Ready in exchange for my honest review
If you loved ‘The Dead Romantics’ you’ll absolutely love this book. ‘Ghosted’ is a paranormal romance/ YA novel about ‘Daniel’ our ghost who shows up in ‘Jillian’s’ (the mc) new apartment out of the blue.
Jillian is an awkward, shy individual who is unable to speak to any male species besides our ghost Daniel. Throughout the novel, we see their friendship evolve. Jillian helping Daniel figure out his past and how he died, and Daniel helping Jillian with her failing romance column and inability to speak to men. Daniel is adamant that he has met Jillian before despite her having no idea who she is. Daniel is the perfect golden retriever boyfriend - he is so sweet, protective and just an overall sunshine.
I really liked the twist on their romance. I fully expected Daniel to be in a coma and didn’t expect what happened despite me being a bit confused.
Overall, I had a great time reading this book and can’t wait to read some more of Sarah Ready’s work. ‘Ghosted’ will be available to read and purchase on 26th Sept 2023!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this one, a painfully shy trekkie girl and a bare-chested adonis of a ghost. I did invest in the story and enjoyed the paranormal premise more than expected. I could actually see this being made in to a movie. Enjoyable and extraordinary, with thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was different then I thought it was going to turn out. It was great. It had paranormal and fantasy leanings. I was not expecting it the plot twist that happened when I thought I had it figured out. I love a good plot twist. It really makes a story stick with me. I loved the connection between Jillian and Daniel that spanned space and time. I love different stories that aren't predictable. There are so many predictable romances, but this one was not one of them. I think this is my new favorite Sarah Ready book.

The premise of this story is interesting, and for the most part this is an enjoyable read. However, I felt the balance between the relationship with ghost Daniel and real Daniel was weighted too much on ghost Daniel and at times the story did drag. I also felt the 'not able to talk to any male whatsoever' aspect to the story was weird - It would be more believable if she was just awkward and incredibly shy; but then after she gets over this ptsd type reaction, she is becomes a weird stalker! The story and pace definitely pick up for the final 40% , which is the better part of the story; and had the first half been a bit shorter and snappier, it would have made a much better read overall. Thanks to NetGallery and W.W. Crown, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), for allowing me to get a copy of the book, which is out on September 26, 2023.

This is one of the first e-books I was lucky to receive in an ARC copy from NetGallery in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Netgallery! ^_^
I loved it very much!
When I read the blurb of this book the movie Just Like Heaven (2005) with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo in the main roles came to mind. Only here the line-up is reversed. :D For those who liked this movie, I highly recommend Ghosted!
Jillian is a dating and relationship expert column writer for The Daily Exposé. But it is in vain that she gives advice to others, while she herself is unable to engage in conversation with any man. On the day of her move-in to her new apartment, an insanely handsome and shirtless guy appears out of nowhere... There is one problem though: The door and the windows are locked, so he couldn't get in anywhere...
Daniel suddenly finds himself in Jillian's apartment. He doesn't remember anything from his past, not even his last name. He discovers that he thinks he should help her get her career and love life back on track and this way he might find peace and could move on.
Serena is Jillian's friend, who supports her in everything, even when she reports some pretty hair-raising things... I loved her humor!
The Daily Exposé team was also friendly, it seemed that they could work well together.
It was exciting till the end highly recommend it!
I would love to see this story in the form of a movie!

Nice a lot alike the movie and nice
But weird and paranormal is not for me
I tried
Cute not exceptional
Thanks for the ARC author and NetGalley

This book. There were times I was thinking this is so out there but also I couldn't put it down. The multilayer timeline kept the story in line and consistently interesting. This is my third book from her and all so vastly different, I imagine her author brain is a wild place to be!

Wow. This book started a bit slow for my usual tastes, with a bit too much suspension of disbelief at first, but then halfway through, really kicked off. It was a fabulous read. I loved the science-nerdy, sci-fi bits thrown in too, really resonated with me. Reminded me of Ali Hazelwood’s writing. The characters were very well fleshed out, the first half was a bit murky and bleak, but the mood and tone brightens and the characters really emerge in the second half. There was one small typo I noticed in the first paragraph of Chapter 3, expect instead of except, but otherwise flawlessly written. For future readers, I don’t want to give too much away - this book is an experience! It’s a well-written, enthralling character-driven romance, and you won’t regret the read!

I didn’t expect to like this book as much as I did, since paranormal rom-com isn’t my go-to genre. It grabbed me right from the start!! I loved the characters - especially Daniel! The storyline was interesting and definitely pulls at the heartstrings with the idea of true love being attainable no matter what.
Thanks to NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

I love Sarah Ready's writing style and I've enjoyed every book I've read by her. This is another winner with a paranormal element that adds an intriguing layer to this unique romance. I wasn't sure how this was going to work out, but I was pleasantly surprised at the twist in the story. The chemistry between Daniel and Jillian is felt immediately and only gets stronger/better as the story continues. There are many funny moments and I enjoyed the creepy weirdness of the mirrored apartment that made me laugh out loud. I listened to the audiobook, wonderfully narrated by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman, and was delightfully entertained.

I stayed up all night reading this book. Sarah Ready is an amazing author! This is the third book I have read by her and they have all been so good. I love how she builds the characters and I always get immersed in their world. Ghosted is a beautiful love story. The author broke my heart and then slowly repaired the cracks. I can't recommend this book enough! I devoured this book and I'm sad that I read it so fast because I don't want to leave these characters. I can't wait for Sarah Ready to put out another book!

I am so absolutely in love with this book! It's cute and quirky, with a little bit of sexy thrown in, and I had so much fun with it that I didn't want it to end. French Holiday was one of my favorite finds of this year, so I immediately knew I wanted to read Ghosted by that alone, and Sarah Ready did not disappoint me!
I loved Jillian's character because I just adore quirky characters. It was very weird to me that she literally can't speak to men, tho, even when ordering a coffee. But once you find out what happened later it makes a little more sense, and it didn't hinder my love for the story at all.
Lots of laughs and all the feels, I flew through this and couldn't put it down.
Thank you so much to WW Crown and NetGalley for the digital arc for my honest review. 5/5 stars

Jullian Nejat is a shy girl that can't speak to men, she is also the dating and relationship expert at the Daily Expose on the brink of losing her job due to low subscriber rates and mediocre articles. When she moves into a new apartment filled with mirrors a ghost Daniel appears. She starts to fall in love with him, but knows it can't lead to anything. When the ghost Daniel disappears, she sees the living Daniel and must try to save his life.

📖 Ghosted x Sarah Ready
Moving for most is a love-hate relationship. It can be dreadful but also exciting to start a new chapter in a new house/location.
Jillian moves to a new home to be closer to her work, but ends up with a little more than she bargained for. A new apartment bought practically sight unseen leads to this unconventional apartment that is already occupied by a “tenant.”
Jillian is incapable of speaking to majority of men who have a pulse but once Daniel shows up in her new apartment she to converse freely with him. Why? Our handsome, shirtless Daniel has no reflection and fades in and out. He’s a ghost that only Jillian can see.
Jillian and Daniel are bounded souls and in order for him to move on they must work together to help one another.
The story is a cute and quick read. It is the first story I’ve read with this type of storyline. I didn’t expect the plot twist towards the last 33% of the story. There were a couple of parts that threw me for a loop just for the simple fact that my own personal notions of what I was thinking was not what happened in the book.
Favorite 💬: “Because you deserve dinner and conversation, and a movie, and flowers if you want. So when we make love tonight, you won’t think this is a one-night deal. It’s not.” - Daniel, Chapter 49
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for providing the arc of this book, all opinions are my own.
So this was quite an engaging read, I haven't read any paranormal romances before so I was intrigued by the premise and. wanted to know how the story will progress. It doesn't follow a linear plot which I found interesting, but the scientific explanation and details that are provided here just did not make sense and were simply redundant. I understand trying to explain ghosts and way things happen but i believe it could have been done in some other way like taking the magical reality path than using quantum physics(?). I did end up rooting for the main characters inspite of not agreeing with a lot of decisions they were taking in the second half, some quite questionable ones. Overall i enjoyed my reading experience but I believe it could have been even better.
The audiobook for this helps a lot in making the story engaging and the narrator does a very good job for the characters.

I am so glad I was able to read this ARC because I loved this story. It tells a different type of love story that involves a human and a ghost. The relationship developing between Jillian and Daniel with their banter and sweet moments were truly my favorite part of the story. Jillian realizes there may be a reason why Daniel is there when she moves into her new apartment (she needs to help him "move on") while Daniel realizes he needs to help her. As they move through the story, you can see how much they benefit each other as they figure things out. I truly loved this story so much and cannot wait for it to come out in physical form, so I can buy a copy!

Such a unique book, I loved the plot, and oh my god the characters we're so amazing!! I definitely will be recommending it!!

Ghosted is such a unique and captivating paranormal love story about finding love, experiencing grief/loss and the trials and tribulations of working through a journey of self discovery. It is incredibly emotional, heartwarming and full of hope, good banter and wit.
There were several points that I thought, this must be the conclusion but oh no! The story kept going and more and more was revealed. There were several plot points that I did not see coming, so it’s aways nice to be surprised and kept on my toes. I particularly loved the twist on where Daniel kept disappearing to and how other characters are pulled into the overall conclusion. The chemistry between Jillian and Daniel was so good and I was praying for this to have a happy ending If you want something to get you right the feels then look no further.
(I read this on my kindle and listened to the audiobook.)

Thank you for giving my daughters & I the opportunity to read this book! I enjoyed it! The "love plot" felt rushed, as I don't think they would have fallen in love so quickly. I wanted to know sooner why the main character didn't speak to men. I wanted to get to the ending faster. I love the matchmaker aspect, and appreciated the details of all the characters. This was a fantastic plane read, but I'm not confident it was appropriate for middle grade or young adult. Thank you!!
