My thoughts:

I’m absolutely loved Jillian and Daniel. Their love story is heartwarming, tragic, sad and hopeful. I also just may have to hug my kindle after. Its that good. Especially if you’re a fan of unexpected twists and turns. We get so used to the typical romance formula but that got flipped a bit and I liked that it’s a book that’s keeping me guessing. I adore Jillian’s and Daniel’s family & Jillian’s close friends. They’re there to support both main characters. If you love Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon, you will love this book! This is my first book by the author & it will not be the last. Ghosted is turning into the perfect Romcom October read and one I’d definitely recommend checking out. I’m also listening to it & loved both narrators. I want to thank NetGalley, W.W Crown and the author herself for both my audio and e-book copies

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and of course the author for gifting me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

YES! THIS BOOK! It took me right back to my childhood reading the mediator books by Meg Cabot crossed with the film Just Like Heaven!

It gave me all the feels and was hilarious too. I can't imagine what I would do in that situation but also want to be in that situation! Jillian who really needs to get her shit together, moves into a cheap NYC apartment only to find out it is already occupied by Daniel - who is a ghost..and super hot! However he also ends up being the only person Jillian can talk to and she soon finds herself in a complicated paranormal romance!

Loved this book, 5* all the way

Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to read this fantastic book! I LOVED this book. It was such a fun and light hearted read. The characters were what made me devour this book. This book is cute, fun and full of laughs.

Take this with a grain of salt because I seem to be in the minority but I did not care for this book. I found the dialogues very cringy. The main character can only be described as sheltered. I also felt the book was too long

I have read a few books by Sarah Ready this year and unfortunately this was the least enjoyable for me. It wasn’t terrible but I found the characters and their motivation hard to connect with. If I had a ghost in my apartment and only knew his first name, I would absolutely be doing some research on who he is and how he died. The ending did pick up but the middle section of the book was too much of slog to get through. I am yet to not finish a book but I came close with this one.

This is the first Sarah Ready book I’ve read, so I had no expectations. Ghosted caught my attention because of the synopsis, and it really didn’t disappoint me. The idea of the plot itself seemed great and original because I had not read anything similar before.

And surprise! I didn’t expect to like this book as much as I did, although I must admit that before the second part I wanted to DNF it but my curiosity to know more about how the story was going to unfold won. I’m glad I kept reading it because it’s worth A LOT!

It could be said that the story is divided into two parts, I liked both but in the first part, I got a little bored until BAM! The plot twist happens (which I wasn’t expecting) and it made me get completely hooked on the story again, it becomes faster pased with some twists and turns, I could’t stop reading it.

Jillian and Daniel’s story moved me and i found it so magical (maybe thanks to my hopeless romantic side), it was just too entertaining and fun to read. Sarah Ready knows how to bring humor and personality to the characters and the story itself.

The book takes place in NYC, which is something I loved since I had been wanting to read a story based in NYC and it perfectly captures the vibe and the places, I felt like I was really transported there.

I liked that the romance between Jillian and Daniel was something destined and universe-like, the author played very well with this situation giving us a kind of a multiverse/different dimensions. I also really liked the secondary characters and the fact that Jillian is a geek.

The only thing that felt kinda off for me were the spicy parts with Daniel as a ghost, like the author nearly described them as if he weren’t a ghost at all, at least for me they felt weird.

This book is perfect for contemporary romance, rom-com, and paranormal with a mystery vibe fans. Also for Trekkies! (Star Trek fans)

I’m looking forward to reading Switched, the second book in this series, which features the story of Jillian’s best friend.

I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. Thank you!

Jillian is a relationship expert but is incapable of speaking with men and wants to have a relationship. She moves into a tiny apartment in NYC but in this apartment already lives a ghost, a sexy man without a t-shirt, Daniel.

She can talk with Daniel even if he is a man but he doesn't count because he is already dead. Daniel figured out that his mission was to help Jillian to have a relationship and to fall in love. so Daniel proposes that Jillian go on dates with men and he will be with her to help her speak with her date.

They began to spend time together and became friends. Slowly, they fall in love but know their relationship is impossible. They were happy for their little time together and Jillian learned to be confident and forgive herself for her mistake.

Suddenly, Daniel is gone and Jillian doesn't know what to think or if she will see Daniel again. Now, she has to figure out her life and how to live how she deserves it.

I liked this sweet love story and the characters Jillian and Daniel and supporting characters. I recommend this story to everyone who loves ghosts.

Ghosted by Sarah Ready is a delightful and heartwarming romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. This contemporary love story revolves around Rachel and Ian, who cross paths in a coffee shop and embark on a captivating romance filled with unexpected twists and turns. The plot explores the complexities of modern dating and personal growth, keeping listeners engaged from start to finish.

The writing in Ghosted is witty and engaging, allowing readers to connect with the characters and their experiences. The story is replete with humorous and heartfelt moments that keep you invested in their journey. Sarah Ready's ability to create relatable characters and authentic dialogues adds depth to the overall narrative.

What sets this book apart is its fresh take on modern dating and relationships, addressing the challenges and uncertainties of our digital age. It's a relevant and relatable story for readers of all ages. While I thoroughly enjoyed "Ghosted," I rated it four stars instead of five because there were moments when the pacing felt a bit slow, and I wanted a little more development in some of the secondary characters.

In summary, Ghosted is a charming and contemporary romance that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you with a smile on your face. With its witty writing and relatable characters, it's a must-read for anyone looking for an entertaining and heartwarming love story.

Ghosted is a whole new take on the ghost romance in Ghosted. How can you not want to pick up a story about a half naked ghost romance? Was he a porn-star? Was he a gigolo? What is he doing half-naked here? These are the questions that Jillian is asking when she finds a friendly, six-pack heartthrob ghosting around her new apartment. Her life is a wreck, so why not add a ghost into the mix?

The premise for this book is so amazing. There is wonderful social anxiety representation and it is a deeply emotional story about healing, trauma, personal growth and, yes, romance. I love how this author weaves a story to include so many things, but not make it overbearing. This is such a beautiful romance between two people who are the most unlikely of lovebirds.

At about the halfway point in this book, it becomes a bit stalkerish. I am not sure if it was because I was also reading a thriller about a terrifying stalker at the same time as this one, but I really did not find the stalking cute or romantic. It made me really uncomfortable and I wasn't a huge fan of that part of the story. So if you don't like a love story about someone that is willing to risk it all, and be stalkerish about it., for love, then this is not the book for you.

Even though this is my least favorite by this author that I have read so far, there were so many amazing things in it. It was witty and had some very funny moments, while still being respectful of the loss Jillian had endured and her extreme social anxiety. I will continue to autobuy and recommend anything and everything Sarah Ready

4* It was so emotional, I couldn't get my mind wrapped around it.

I was expecting something different, something funny where a professional relationship expert had a very bad personal love life... It was so much more. I feel kind of speechles about how Sarah Ready can conjure such deep emotions with a story like this.
This book is the perfect example of wishing for something and getting so much more.

Do you believe in ghosts? Jilian thinks they can't be real, then she comes face to face with something she can't explain and keeps getting mixed with Daniel.
With his humor and his persistence about knowing her and being friends he slowly slips under her skin and she finds herself falling for him...
But why is he here and how much time have they?

The first part of the book is totally enjoyable, there's plenty of banter and humor, but this is no simple reading. Jilian has a past which highly influence her everyday life and we get to discover it little by little.
The romance is everywhere, but how can you fall for a ghost? I kept telling myself, ok where is this going from the beginning but I was really lost at some point.
I felt like it was a little bit long in some point, it was not truly dragging, but I couldn't see where the story was going and it got me a little frustrate, but how I wrote in the beginning it was all very emotional and I couldn't end but loving it.

This was my second book by Sarah Ready after French Holiday and I really look forward to read more books of this author.
Thank you NetGalley for providing this book as an Arc in exchange of an honest review.

Jillian Nejat finds herself connecting with the charming ghost, Daniel. The witty banter between them adds a delightful touch to this supernatural romance. Ready's writing is engaging, and the novel offers plenty of laughter and heartwarming moments. Ghosted is an enjoyable read for fans of quirky romantic comedies.

Jillian Nejat is the only dating and relationship expert on the planet who is incapable of speaking to men. If they’re living, if they’re breathing, it’s game over.

With her bank account at zero, her career a dumpster fire, and her dating life in a ten-year slump, she moves into a tiny, dirt-cheap NYC apartment.

Unfortunately, the apartment is already occupied.

Daniel (no-last-name) is a sexy, shirtless, six-pack wielding heartthrob who is also…dead.

He isn’t living. He isn’t breathing. He’s a ghost. He’s also the only man on the planet that Jillian can talk to.

Soon, Daniel’s convinced that it’s his afterlife mission to resurrect Jillian’s love life. He knows, if he helps her fall in love then he can move on. Jillian agrees. The last thing she needs is a Lothario ghost haunting her living room.

But then, one practice date leads to another, one confession leads to more, and suddenly Jillian fears she’s falling for the one man she can never have.

ok.
A whole new topic i've never encountered before.
My new favourite read!

I've never read a book quite like this. I really thought I had figured it out, but when it was revealed, I was pretty far from figuring it out.

Jillian is very quiet. So quiet in front of men that she really doesn't talk. At all. So when she gets a new apartment and a man shows up that she can talk to, there's something very, very different about him. He's a ghost. Who only Jillian can see.

He's good-looking and thinks he's been sent to Jillian to help her with her life. So that's what he does. She's in a rut with her love life, and her job is looking bleak.

It has some humor (especially when they're out together and at her job) and some romance. I really enjoyed it. Jillian was a different character than I'd ever read before.

Adorable, sweet, Star Trek loving Jillian and shirtless, straight-shooting, loyal Daniel are my new favourite duo. An unlikely couple, in terms of personality but also because Daniel is a ghost. Yes, this book is about ghosts and so does require a bit of imagination and the reader to suspend belief, but it doesn’t detract or take you out of the story.

The book is divided into two parts, and I found the second half of the book more captivating that the initial chapters, which while necessary to set up the premise and science around the situation felt a bit too jargon heavy, even as someone who LOVES all things Star Trek.

The story has a bit of mystery combined with a rom-com and overall just felt magical. The banter between Jillian and Daniel is hilarious from the get-go and the side characters were just as fun as the MCs!

I love how Ready subverted my expectations for the second half of the book and took the plot in a unique direction. The book is emotional and has a depth I wasn’t expecting as it looks into the why behind Jillian’s difficulty talking to men and the guilt she has around past relationships.

I love a ghost relationship troupe. The quirky characters, the mystery around the ghost, and his importance in the main character, Jillian's life. It had me thoroughly entertained. I liked the first 60% of this book more than the end. Somewhere around 60% it started to slog for me and everything felt like it was going too slow. I think the author could have cut 50pages and still had a great story. Would i recommend this book? I’m honestly not sure. If the premise sounds good to you, give it a try!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Scared to talk to men and the only man she starts to feel comfortable talking to is a ghost, to going on dates with a ghost & "making love" with a ghost - this book has many unexpected twists and it left me wanting more. This book tugged at my heart strings. Even the ending was perfect. Sarah Ready wrote this book beautifully.

I REALLY love Sarah Ready's writing style so for the first third of the book I was totally in. I initially didn't think I would like this because of the paranormal aspect because I find it so cheesy a lot of the time but I actually liked the way she introduced it in this. However, my mind quickly changed when she started having sex with the ghost. The speed at which the relationship with the ghost developed was way too rushed and unrealistic. I really liked the other parts of the book when she got to know the real person though. Although, I did feel like that relationship was a bit rushed towards the end as well. They had such a natural incline and then their actual profession of love felt forced. Overall I thought this was a really cool concept and started off really great and had some other really interesting moments, also had a lot of unrealistic forced moments. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this advanced copy in can I help you exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Ready I an auto-buy author for me ever since I read Josh and Gemma. She has a remarkable talent for making books that are funny, that make you swoon, but that are also deeply emotionally charged. This one was no different.

Daniel is a ghost and Jillian is the only one who can see him. It was beautiful. You get to watch them bond and get to know one another and every bit of it was amazing. Even though she writes a dating column, Jillian has trouble getting close to men, and Daniel doesn't understand why he is a ghost or know what happened to him. Daniel offers her guidance, and she him. You watch them become deeply emotionally connected but know it can't go anywhere because.... He's a ghost.

I couldn't understand how this book could have a happily ever after, but trust b me the journey was worth it and it will surprise you.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.
