This is a fun and informative book. I cannot wait to get a copy in my hands. I can see this being a hit with students. I loved the format and information presented.
This gorgeous children's book explores everything from fingerprints and the appendix to optical illusions, to tornados and earthquakes and the entire universe. The fantastic, detailed, often psychedelic illustrations, by Good Wives and Warriors, coupled with the varied pocket-sized lessons, make it great for older children, adults, and even as a conversation-starting coffee table book.
Thank you Clive Gifford, Quarto Publishing Group – Wide Eyed Editions, and NetGalley for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.
I loooved this little book of wonders! Can't imagine how it feels to read this with the world perception of a child. It must be sensory heaven!
The illustrations just blew my mind. Not only are they simply beautiful and original, each page is full of intricate details that I wanted to spend more and more time on.
The facts and mysteries described in the book filled my "random trivia fact hat" to the brim. I really love sharing knowledge as such with my friends and family. Being Russian, I did not know of any of the Russian mysteries mentioned in this book! It also got me thinking about the most ordinary parts of my life such as the sense of smell and why it exists in that way.
I had a good time reading it! Highly recommended.
This is a beautifully illustrated book full of information about all the big and small things that make us curious. It is a wonderful book for children and adults alike. It is on my pre-order list now.
What a fun science book! This one really invites readers to think—both scientifically and creatively—about the mysteries of the universe. Fascinating, engaging, informative.
And I can't neglect mentioning the art... It is colorful, wild and thematically appropriate, giving this book an added layer of excitement.
Books like this are what make people fall in love with science!
What a stunning book. Each page is a feast for the eyes. The illustrations and colours reminded me of the Yellow Submarine. It's jam packed with information and interesting topics, enlightening adults as well as children I'm sure. The only downside is the naming of the book, the Mysteryverse conjures up unsolved mysteries, so I was expecting the loch ness monster and aliens rather than the more common garden mysteries that are touched in the book.
The illustrations in this book are giving me a 60’s pop vibe with vibrant colors and shapes.
This book is full of super fun facts and “mystery’s” about the human body, planet earth, nature, animals and more!
Interesting and thought provoking enigma’s kept me engaged and wanting to read more.
This is a great book for young readers. Children love to ask questions and this book will help answer many of those burning questions. There is a lot going on, on each page. This might be distracting to some children. The colors and bright and the geometric patterns fun.
A great resource for growing minds in this lifetime. I would recommend to curious students so quickly.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one of those beautiful, informationally packed books that deserves a big spot on your coffee table! The illustrations are mesmerizing and brightly colored, the mysteries are fun to ponder, and I would almost guarantee it’ll be a conversation starter if you had guests over!
A fun book that I would love to read with my kids in physical format (I am reviewing this via Netgalley PDF). The pages are colorful and the variety of topics is intriguing. The only criticism would be that the amount of topics make it a little too broad and unfocused, but that can be a common thing with books similar to this, so it's not a big deal to me. Highly recommend this for anyone who just likes to learn the answers to many random questions.
Very interesting and educational read! A little too old for my kids so I wasn’t able to share it with them, but I definitely learned a few things myself. The illustrations and color are stunning and definitely add to the experience.
A dive into a bunch of unknown mysteries of the world. I think this should be marketed more to middle grade and up than just broadly children because younger children would struggle with this. However, it was very colorful and did cover a lot of interesting topics.
Amazing! It’s ostensibly for children but everyone could learn so much from this collection and the illustrations are stunning.
