I adore Jessica Redlands books and this is a new series but set in the familiar backdrop of Castle Street in Whitsborough if you've had the joy already of reading any of her previous books set here.
Tabby is close to opening her lifelong dream of running a cat café when a series of revelations and mishaps occur which seems to push her dreams further and further out of reach. Coupled with serious health issues, Tabby realises these setbacks mean she needs to rethink her strategy, in comes Tom, a lifelong friend and with the support of family, friends, and some wonderful familiar characters from Castle Street, the café opens. However it may prove to be only the start of things changing beyond all recognition for Tabby and Tom.
I felt Tabby's illness was handled superbly and proved such an insight in to the reality of a chronic condition. I also felt such a fondness for Tom and his background as a foster child and what that means now for him as an adult.
With such a beautiful combination of vulnerability, less-than-rosy real life and tons of cats, this is a warm and cathartic read with a bit of that expected bonus Christmas sparkle.

I have read several books by this author and this one fell a bit flat for me. I’m not sure what it was; whether it was the description of the main character’s fibromyalgia (which just felt a bit like someone teaching you about the condition) or the predictability of the storyline. It’s an ok read but I felt that it didn’t really focus enough on the day to day of the cat cafe, or Christmas, which I expected from the title.

I absolutely adored this Christmas book full of cats, love and friendships amid times of struggle and hardship. The story of tabby and her chasing her dreams was such a good story to read whilst on holiday. I love all of Jessica’s books and this was one of her best. There was one bit where I sobbed but I am a true cat lady! Thank you for this chance to read. I couldn’t put it down and needed to see what happened to Tabby.

This the is the first book I have read by this author. The description and cover made me think of a heartwarming Christmas book which is the reason I requested it.
It took me a while to get into the book and at 30% I was on the verge of giving up. I hadn’t warmed to the main character and felt that the disability the character suffered from was described from a teaching point of view (I felt at times I was reading a ‘guide to…..’). This took me away from what should have been the main storyline of the cat cafe.
I do think it’s very important that people understand the difficulties experienced by sufferers but felt it took over the story at times
After accepting this I continued and started to enjoy the story a bit more.
I would certainly read further stories from the author.

Tabby has always dreamed of working with cats so when an inheritance offers her the chance to open a cat café with her partner Leon she can’t wait to get everything in place. Then, just weeks before the café is due to open, Leon tells Tabby he no longer wants to be part of the café or her life. Devastated, Tabby knows she can’t go on with the project without support. After hiding her health problems from her family and friends, she realises it might be time to come clean and accept their help and support in order to realise her dream.
If Tabby can get her business off the ground it might just help her to heal her heart.
This book has everything, humour, love, friendship, Christmas, and cats. What more could you possibly want? A wonderful feel-good story.

My least favourite of all her books. Didn't love the cat theme as I'm not a fan of cats. The amelia storyline seemed a bit daft and I think that spoiled it a little too.

I've loved all of Jessica's books and whilst I didn't hate this one it is probably my least favourite. Not sure why. Maybe it was the cat theme, I'm not a cat fan.

Christmas at the cat café is a cute and cosy romance festive novel by Jessica Redland.
This is the first book that I have read by the author and it definitely won't be the last. It had everything that I could want in a cosy festive novel and more.
I'm not a cat person, I absolutely adore dog's but I still enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.
❤️ Thank you to netgalley and the author/publisher for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

What a purrfect Christmas book, all furry and festive. Tabby had a yearning to run a cat cafe she had been recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and needed her boyfriend Leon to help run it and keep her independence too. She was looking forward to running it together with him when circumstances changed rapidly and she was left running it alone.
This book was really sweet, good to see the character growth and the cats were lovely. I can’t wait to see if this becomes a series.
Thank you NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I will admit I am more of a dog lover but I wanted to branch out and this novel sounded too cute to not request to read! Thank you to Jessica Redland & Boldwood Books for my eARC!

The idea of a cat cafe is amazing! I have been to some in person and the author does a tremendous job in evoking the comfy feeling you get when you visit one in their writing.

The winter season and Christmas added a cozy atmosphere that made me wish there was snow falling and I was sipping on hot cocoa while enjoying this novel.

I look forward to reading more from this author!

Oooooh, this was so much fun! Tabby's dream of working with cats becomes real when she is left an inheritance by her nanna and gets to open up a cat cafe on Castle Street with her boyfriend, Leon. But then Leon leaves, putting a ton of pressure on Tabby to open the cat cafe in time for Christmas. Tabby encounters all sorts of problems, from her own health to resistance from the locals. Tabby realizes she needs to rely on her friends and family to help her dreams become reality - but will she succeed? I loved this book for the cats and also how they all became true characters of the book, but also because it featured a real struggle that people face every day - chronic illness; this just made the book that more realistic and something to relate to. Plus, people can also relate to worry and wrenches in plans.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books, who gave me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Cannot resist a Jessica Redland book, great characters. Well written and wonderfully researched. Nice twist to have a main character with a medical condition. Not overly sure about a cat cafe but loved the overall story.

As soon as I saw who the author was I had to request this book! Plus it has cats in it.. lots and lots of cats. I was sold!

I wasn’t disappointed either, I love the idea 💡 f cat cafes, and the storyline was good. I thought Tom was a dream and the whole set of characters were lovely.

I do adore books with such a close knit community like this. Real feel good cheer you up style books.
Definitely will be recommending this!

Well we are back in Whitsborough Bay with Jessica’s latest book and I couldn’t wait to get back to this tight knit community.

Tabby has plans to open a cat cafe on Castle Street in Whitsborough Bay, however things go south with her plans because of her boyfriend Leon, though I won’t go into details. I related fully to the main character due to having chronic illnesses myself. I just want to take the time to thank Jessica for adding not only disability representation into her latest story, but a condition that’s invisible to the naked eye. I felt she did this justice as everyone does suffer differently so I felt this was a good representation of the condition in real life.

I absolutely adored every single page of this beautifully written book. I loved not only Tabby but all of the side characters too and not forgetting all of the cats who sound so loving and amazing. I had a cat when I was a child and they are so caring.

I am a huge fan of Jessica Redland and I always want to read her next book as soon as I possibly
can and it’s always totally worth it. She’s one of my favourite authors and this book was just the escapism I needed!

‘Christmas at the Cat Cafe’ is a story full of love (for humans and animals), friendship and the perfect festive read. Jessica’s narrative is free flowing so I was completely and utterly immersed in Tabby’s story. I just didn’t want it to end.

I really can’t wait to read more of Jessica’s work and I highly recommend you go and read not only this book but this author in general 🩷

A Christmas story ✔️
A new story from Jessica Redland ✔️
A story about cats ✔️

Well this ticked all the boxes for me, as soon as I knew Jessica was writing a book about a cat cafe I couldn't wait to get my hands on this beauty. Can we just a moment and admire the beautiful colourful cover!

We are back on the wonderful Castle Street and at the cat cafe with christmas fast approaching Tabitha (Tabby) is setting up her dream.

Jessica has a magical way of throwing in a curveball or two making it that NOT predictable story. As the blurb tells us boyfriend Leon leaves Tabby right in the lurch and an illness for Tabby to contend with it's not all plain sailing.

I love the detail and research Jessica puts into her work and really makes her stories come to life.

I adore Jessica's writing style and I just glide through those pages wanting to race through but trying to savour them at the same time as I never want her books to end.

A big 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love cats, christmas & books about cats & Christmas so this book was right up my street.
I absolutely loved it!

I love Jessica's books but for the first time ever I didn't fall in love with Tabby or the storyline. Maybe that's because I'm not a cat person - never have been but I read it it anyway. (Sorry Jessica I'm a dog person through and through but I do see a sequel here).

Tabby has been through a lot and there is more to this storyline than just cats and a cat cafe. It's the fact that Tabby has serious health issues but I think she gave up on her dream and to be honest was her heart really in it? Romance, revenge, hatred and loss all play a part in this story.

It was great being back on Castle Street, welcoming the characters I had fallen in love with back and seeing how things are now.

I'm still a huge Jessica fan and can't wait for her next one.

Tabby is trying to start dealing with a chronic illness, opening her dream cat cafe and then things go pear shaped. I enjoyed these characters and the story.

I was so excited to see I had been approved for this ARC of Christmas at the Cat Cafe on @netgalley 😍
Obviously I had to read it straight away!

I absolutely loved this book right from the start. I've read several of Jessica's books so I knew what to expect but this is another unique story set in Whitsborough Bay.

The storyline is so easy to follow... Predictable? maybe a bit, but there were lots of unexpected parts thrown in too.
You really get to know the main characters and I loved the inclusion of Tabby's health issues which opened my eyes to this as it's a condition i wasn't too familiar with.

If you are a cat and Christmas lover this is a must read! It's such a heartwarming festive read.

A special mention to the cat chart at the front!!

This is a stand alone book but characters/shops from other books do make an appearance which is lovely.

Another 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 book from Jessica Redland!

Another lovely addition to the series. I’m allergic to cats so this is the closest I will get to a cat cafe.
Love the community feel of the book.
