Rynnie Roo's Kansas Adventure is the story of Rynnie the kangaroo and her friend Tator Tot, who is a parakeet. They are going on a field trip to Kansas. They learn all kinds of different facts about the plants and animals, history, and festivals that take place in Kansas. They even learn a little about prehistoric Kansas! Very cool educational book for kids to learn about this fun state!

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this advanced review copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review on the book!

At the end of this happy little book, Rynnie Roo asks us if we enjoyed learning about Kansas - and to be honest, I am not sure that I would ever have thought that the answer to that question was yes.

But thanks to Rynnie Roo and her parrot companion, Tater Tot, the answer is not only in the affirmative, that is an emphatic yes!

The various fun facts about Kansas were taught in a highly engaging fashion, making the learning enjoyable.

I was particularly interested to hear about the Wizard of Oz celebrations, and the puppy competition to find a Toto look alike.

The information about the Mammoth and other prehistoric creatures that once roamed Kansas was fascinating. Though I think that it would have been interesting to hear what the Mammoth tusks were actually used for - since we were told what it wasn't for!

The journey was fun and the illustrations were adorable. This series should hold great appeal for young readers.

This is my first Rynnie Roo book. It mentions the first book, but it didn’t matter to the story. It’s mostly a bunch of kid friendly facts about Kansas narrated by a bright kangaroo. I’m from Kansas originally and learned something! Who knew states had official reptiles and amphibians!?!? Seriously, who?!

Everything was kid friendly and interactive with the animal guides talking directly Ti the children reading the book. A fun read and you’ll learn a bunch about Kansas!
