This was such a fun and quirky book! Hazel and Godric were a match made in obsessive heaven.

I loved the initial wooing that happened pre-vampire reveal. It was a fun look back into crushes and early dating. Godric was fun to read about before Hazy learned his secret given that we already know he's a vampire. It was interesting try to pick up on the nuances that could have maybe revealed he's a vampire and how he was hiding it.

The Blaine story was an interesting addition to the book. I do wish there was more resolution and a little more of a climax with that whole situation. I do feel like for such a big part he played, that it was kind of tied up too neatly and quickly, but it was still an entertaining part of the book.

I loved Hunter and Laz, too, and I really, really hope they get their own books! Especially Laz.

Overall, I really enjoyed this read! If you're looking for something fun and spicy, this is definitely the book for you!

My Boyfriend is a Vampire by Eva Knight
You guys if you love anything vampires then this is the book for you. I’m not the biggest fan of paranormal romance but I enjoyed it. It was cute even though it was a bit in the slower paced side for me it was still enjoyable. I was expecting it to be a bit more like I don’t know Twilight or even Buffy the slayer vibe’s from the series but no it was not quite like that. It didn’t have as much vampire stuff and or not enough Comedy I guess. But it was still a good story and would recommend.

Oh my Godric! I am in love. Godric is literally a fantasy. This book though! You can definitely tell if was Helena’s writing with the humor. It was perfect. It was quirky, there was some angst in it and the chemistry between Hazy and Godric 🔥

When I read a book I like to see if it’s something that I would like to see in movie form and this is one that I kept saying would be a perfect movie. Everything about it was just so perfect. I could not put it down.

Can we also take a moment to talk about Hunter and Laz? I really need their stories. lol. I also really love this world and I’m really hoping that we hear more from this world and then I hope that she writes more paranormal romance because this was definitely a hit for me.

I will read anything and everything Helena writes. Was so pleased to learn that she was coming out with a paranormal romance and this did not disappoint. Godric and Hazy were so sweet and sexy, and I loved seeing their relationship developed. It was a fun read, but also had lots of depth when it came to the complications of loving someone immortal. I also loved the additional cast of characters such as Hazy’s roommates, and Godric’s brothers. Hoping we’ll get to see more of Hazy and Godric in the future, and of course HEA for Laz and Hunter too. If you love sweet, sexy, paranormal romance, this is one to check out!

4.5 stars

This was such a fun and unexpected read! I’ve been slowly trying to branch out into paranormal romance, so when I heard Helena Hunting was writing one under a pen name I was so excited. And this is the perfect book for someone looking for just a little paranormal but a whole lot of laughs and spice!

I loved Hazy and Godric, together and on their own. They were both such fun and interesting characters, but together they sizzled off the page. There is zero angst, keeping it light and fun, and the rest of the characters were such awesome additions. Here’s to hoping for more stories in this world!

This was such a fun and steamy read thats perfect for this time of year!

I really liked our main characters and I honestly loved their chemistry and banter! I also really liked the side characters and would happily read more books set in this universe with them!

I really liked the vampire lore in this one and found the whole thing so interesting!

My only issue was that the end felt a bit anticlimactic for me after all the build up but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am not at all into the vampire thing. In fact, when Twilight was at the height of its popularity, if you had asked me to choose between Team Edward and Team Jacob, I probably would have chosen Team Stake Through My Heart just to get out of the conversation. However, I love Helena Hunting (no matter her pen name), so when I heard that she was writing a vampire rom-com, I knew I had to give it a try.

Anyway. I am probably (definitely) not the target market for this book. That being said...

I actually kind of enjoyed it. I especially liked that Hazy applied her scientific mind to the situation and really tried to understand Godric and where he came from, as well as how their physical relationship impacted her. The two of them geeking out over test results may have been my favorite part of the book. I was also surprisingly invested in the conflict about their different rates of aging and the challenges it presented for the future of their relationship. There wasn't an easy answer for them on how to move forward, but I really liked the way the author chose to handle it.

So did this book change my mind about vampire romances in general? Am I going to wake up tomorrow and decide to go searching for a (possibly sparkly?) blood-sucker of my own? No. But am I glad I read it? Yes. It was a fun change of pace from what I normally read and a good way to get into the Halloween mood. I don't think I'll be picking up another one, but I will be recommending this one for my fellow rom-com fans.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...

Eva Knight is Helena Hunting.

I haven’t read a vampire romance in a while and this was quite an interesting read to start back up again. Hazy and Godric are very interesting characters and I really enjoyed their instant connection.

I wonder if there will be more books.

More review to come.

This was fun spin on the whole vampire/paranormal scene. I like the humanity in the Hawthorne brothers and the realistic way the blended in with Hazy and the rest of the characters. The characters are fun, zany and relatable. If I could give it a 4.7 I would, paranormal is not my thing but the book was enjoyable.

22 year old me is jumping for joy because I just read Helena Hunting writing as Eva Knight’s take on Vampire romance and it’s everything Twilight could have been if it was NA and not YA. This book is funny, spicy and mature in a way the YA phenomenon was not. Godric is the vampire boyfriend I have always wanted, full of lust and struggling to keep his emotions and impulses in check. While Hazy does lose her mind over the hunky vamp, they bond over science and school work and she still retains her goals and dreams even after nights upon nights of multiple O’s. This book has everything I love about Eva Knight's writing and everything I love about a paranormal vampire romance.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my honest review.

If you are looking for a cute paranormal romcom to get you in the Halloween spirit look no further. Eva Knight is the pen name for Helena Hunting. If you’ve read some of Helena’s books you will know she is the master of writing funny books. This one wasn’t any different. I really enjoyed the characters in this one! Godrick and Hazy were great together. You will find that this one has a great cast of characters too!! Overall a good read!

Received a arc for a honest review.

My Boyfriend is a Vampire written by Helena Hunting writing as Eva Knight was chef’s kiss! It had the perfect combination of humor and seriousness with no angst. I absolutely adored Hazy and Godric. Other than him being a vampire, they’re perfect for each other. When I first started reading, I thought Godric was going to be the typical cerebral vampire but he was so much more. He is funny and sweet, so loving and smart! He and hazy are both total science nerds and when they get invested in a topic, it’s pretty much foreplay! Besides being smart, Hazy is funny, down to earth, loving and obviously very open minded. I loved that the communication between them was constant. No typical miscommunications that drive the couple apart. Helena also brings in a storyline so unique to the vampire trope. While I don’t want to give anything away, I’ll just say that these are very progressive vampires who do not view the world as black and white as it is in most vampire stories. Hazy has two very entertaining best friends and Godric’s two brothers bring so much fun to the story (I’m hoping for them to get their own books). It’s been a while since I had a book I didn’t want to put down and didn’t want to end. My Boyfriend is a Vampire is that book. I highly recommend you read it!

What a fun and slightly different book from Eva Knight (aka Helena Hunting). A paranormal college romance between Godrick (the Vampire) and Hazel (Hazy), a college student just trying to manage friends, coursework and a future in medical school and college parties. When Hazy and friends meet God(rick) and his brothers, the friendship and attraction are quick. They discover they even have a class together. As they start dating, she discovers he's hiding a secret that is a surprise and yet, they manage to work through it.

This one is full of humor (although at times, college-kid humor), witty remarks from Hazel, the typical vampire trope that you'd expect, and even some funny references to sparkling vampires (ahem, Twilight). Nerdy, fun, and an entertaining read.

I loved everything about this book!! Helena ( writing as Eva Knight) gave me her signature wit and charm and wrapped it in a fun and steamy YA romance that definitely put me in the spirit of the season. I'm a huge lover of Halloween, so it was fun to read a romcom about a college romance between a human and vampire!

Godric and his 2 brothers (please give me more Hunter and Laz!) are the new guys on campus and they have everyone's attention, especially Hazy.

This book has the campy, snarky feel of the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the romance of Twilight, and the sexy times we love from Helena!

I can't wait for more from this series!

Hazy, Godric, and their friends are very lovable characters in Eva Knight's first paranormal romance. This story will make readers smile while they second-guess everything they know about vampires.

However, while I liked the characters in this book a lot, the plot felt under-developed. I was constantly waiting for something to happen. While I enjoyed the scientific aspect of this story, it felt like the plot meandered a lot and was never very climactic. The end felt rushed and unsatisfying. If it weren't for all of the physical intimacies in this book, I would classify it as young adult fiction, but it's definitely too explicit for that label.

While this wasn't my favorite paranormal romance, I am interested to learn what happens next with Godric's brothers and Hazy's friends.

I am not someone who typically reads a lot of paranormal books. But, when one of my favorite authors announced that she wrote one I knew I wanted to read it.
The dialogue complimented the storyline well. The characters had such great chemistry, which made it hard to put down. I really hope Eva writes more paranormal stories and I think I need to find more paranormal books in general.

This is the first paranormal romcom I've read. I've read plenty of paranormal romances but the added aspect of a romantic comedy was new to me.

This was a great read and kept me entertained from start to finish. I loved Hazy and Godric's relationship.

This book had me laughing out loud many times and was such a light hearted book to spend some time diving into.

This was so much fun!

This was a cute college aged story about the FMC, Hazy, who meets the 3 new men who seem to not only have moved into the previously haunted looking house in frat row, but now even having the house looking amazing. Three brothers, Hudson, Godrick, and Laz have moved in and the one that Hazy can't take her eyes off of is the one who is not only around her age but also pre-med as well - Godrick. But his neighbor across the street, Blaine, is her ex-something and he is trying to get back into her pants which makes dating Godrick a little hard.

Thankfully their relationship is able to progress and she is able to dismiss some of the strange things that she sees. Until the big halloween party where she cannot dismiss that her new boyfriend is a vampire.

This book is super cute and FUN! Additionally, i loved not only her best friends but his brothers characters. I would love to know what happens "next" for these two characters and maybe some books for the other side characters ... wink wink.

I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

My Boyfriend is a Vampire is a fun, entertaining New Adult romance with a paranormal twist.

Hazel is just starting her senior year of college and her life is pretty normal. She's trying to avoid a previous hook up, keep her grades up, and she plans on going to med school. Her life gets much more complicated when she meets and falls for Godric who just happens to be a vampire.

The story is well paced with lots of humor and great banter and dialogue. I liked that Hazel was curious and inquisitive as well as a bit awkward. It made things interesting as her and Godric connected and tried to figure out how to make a relationship work.

I really enjoyed this book and hope that there is more to come from Eva Knight.
