My Boyfriend is a Vampire is a sweet, fun and steamy story. It made me laugh and sigh so much. I loved it!

This author always has the ability to make me laugh out loud and this was no exception. I love Hazy, she is such a fun MFC and Godric is so sweet, so nerdy and he made me swoon so hard, the way he treats and cares for Hazy is beyond perfect and they together are so perfect.

I loved the way the author tells the story, the suspense that kept me turning the pages without blinking and the funny situations and troubles they get involved in to hide the fact that Godric is a vampire.

I loved Hunter and Laz, Godric's brothers, their hilarious conversations made me laugh too much. This is an entertaining, cute, light, hilarious story with an emotional edge,

I definitely highly recommend it for fans of

Eva Knight, aka Helena Hunting, did a wonderful job writing this vampy romcom. It is the perfect fun read all year around but especially during the Halloween season.
The story of Godrich and Hazel (Hazy) is full of humor, vampire lore, romance and spice! It was a fun spicy twist on all the vampire books/movies that have been around for ages. Loved how all the character, minus one, meshed together. I’m hoping there will be books centered around Godrich’s brother (Hunter and Laz) and Hazy’s bffs (Alyssa and Satya). Would love to see what happens to all characters in the future.

In case you weren’t aware, Eva Knight is the pen name for Helena Hunting. The name might have changed but the witty and dynamic characters are the same. I’m not a big reader of paranormal or fantasy but I am of HH. This particular book is about a human girl falling for a vampire and how they navigate their relationship with outside interferences. Some are just concerned brothers but one is a pesky ex boyfriend that can’t let it go.

As fantasy fiction goes, I found this one to be more realistic than others. I’m not into over the top, very dramatic tales and it didn’t do that. It’s a college love story first and foremost with some humor and the MMC happens to be a vampire. Even the vampire side felt new and interesting and I wasn’t bored by it. I loved the way this couple dealt with mortality and how to optimize their time together. I do hope that Godric’s brothers each get their own books, and I’ll be there to read them both.

My Boyfriend is a Vampire is a cute, low angst romcom, which makes for good scary season reading. Eva Knight aka Helena Hunting fills this low stakes romance with tons of quips and enough heat to keep that cauldron bubbling.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sparks fly when college senior Hazy meets her dashing neighbor Godric. He’s another premed student who easily stays on top of his class work, and loves scotch and chocolate. He’s a 10, but there’s just one thing, he’s a vampire. Once he confides in Hazy, they work together with his brothers to thwart attempts by Hazy’s frat-bro ex to figure out what’s not quite right about Godric. And what about Hazy’s relatively short life span? Can this pair work past these obstacles and figure out a way to be together?

This book is a cute romcom that features a cinnamon roll vampire as the MMC. Godric is sweet, and is absolutely gone for Hazy. Hazy takes most things in stride, and always has a quip ready, even in the steamiest moments. I’m always entertained by different vampire stories, and I liked the scientific view of vampire lore and research in this one.

Because this story is such low angst, there’s not too much conflict or plot to be concerned with. This week, it matched my reading mood, where anything more serious or involved would have made me lose interest. One note: at this point, can we skip Harry Potter references in current books? Personally, I think they are unnecessary, and it completely took me out of this story during the scene where it was used.

My Boyfriend is a Vampire is a fun scary season story. It combines the best parts of lighthearted romcoms and paranormal romance while never losing track of the fun or the steam.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book blew me away! It’s the perfect fall read for anyone who loves paranormal romance! I loved the dynamic between Godric and Hazy! From the moment they meant it was undeniable that they had a connection!

I love how quirky and hilarious Godric and his brothers are. It added to the charm and mystery of the book. And though most of the book is from her point of view I love that we get Godric’s point of view at key times. These two were meant to be and the story really pulls you in.

I really hope it’s not the last I see of this family because the brothers definitely need a story of their own!

5 star Review My Boyfriend Is A Vampire by Eva Knight

Eva Knight is a new author to me but having read numerous books by Helena Hunting, I couldn’t wait to dive into My Boyfriend Is A Vampire.

This was an entertaining romantic comedy that happens to have a main character that is a vampire. I’ll be honest I don’t normally read paranormal but this was so good.

Hazy Florence is attracted to her new neighbour Godric Hawthorn but he has a secret, he’s a vampire.

I really liked our couple and it was entertaining to watch as Hazy learned Godric’s truth. His family added an additional layer and it was fun to watch them all blend into college life. Hazy is a woman that I would love to have as a friend and I loved her ability to accept Godric’s truth.

My Boyfriend Is A Vampire was a well balanced mix of romance, passion, and humour. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Title: My Boyfriend is a Vampire
Author: Eva Knight (Helena Hunting)
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

"My Boyfriend is a Vampire" by Eva Knight (Helena Hunting) is a delightful and captivating paranormal romance that deftly explores the realm of vampires while adding a refreshing twist to the genre. As a fan of Helena Hunting's work, I eagerly delved into this book despite not being a regular reader of fantasy or vampire-themed stories. The author's skilled storytelling and the intriguing premise immediately won me over.

The narrative is presented in a dual point of view, offering insight into the minds of the two central characters: college student Hazy and the enigmatic vampire and fellow student, Godric. Their love story unfolds beautifully, enriched by both a sizzling physical attraction and a deep emotional connection. The chemistry between them is palpable, making for some steamy and intense romantic scenes that perfectly cater to fans of this genre.

The ending of "My Boyfriend is a Vampire" is executed superbly, delivering on the promises set forth in the plot. Overall, this book is a magical journey into the world of vampires, love, and self-discovery. I highly recommend this gem to readers seeking a steamy yet emotionally resonant paranormal romance.

This was a great autumn read with several smile worthy moments. Hazy is a cute science nerd and they make a lovely match with God...ric (I couldn't pass this up, the same as the author).

I liked the family bonds, the friendships and even the stalking aspect of the story.

I think with a bit of an editing it could have been shorter because every now and then I felt like the story was dragging but it wasn't too bad.

“Your existence heals my heart in a way time never could.”

My Boyfriend is a Vampire was a sweet, swoony paranormal romance that was a lot of fun and got me in the mood for the spooky season. Hazy and Godric were so well-matched and understood one another even though they were born in different centuries.

“You breathe new life into me. I feel like I have a purpose, like there is meaning in my existence again. You invigorate me.”

I enjoyed the development of Hazy and Godric’s relationship. There was an instant attraction, but they had a bit of a push and pull relationship at first which developed into a friendship that blossomed into more. Hazy was a delightful character full of self-confidence and determination to get what she wanted. I loved how respectful of Hazy’s feelings that Godric was and how he took steps to prepare her before he revealed who he actually was. It was a lot of fun how these two sought out scientific explanations to better understand themselves and to help improve their world.

“Everything I want out of this existence has shifted and it all aligns with you.”

Full of laughs, a bit of suspense and a whole lot of heat, My Boyfriend is a Vampire was definitely a fun, new twist on vampires. Hazy and Godric shared an understanding and passion that was adorable and I loved how they along with Godric’s brothers handled the external angst brought on by Hazy’s ex. I’m intrigued by Godric’s brothers and hope they will also be getting their HEA’s.

The writing seems slightly immature and didn't pull me in. I could not care much for the characters as there was no tension or even any set up between the protagonists. They were unnaturally attracted to each other from meeting 1 (despite the fantasy aspect of it, it came off as unbelievable and cringy).

I normally am not a fan of paranormal romance, but this being by Helena Hunting, I gave it a try. I am so glad I did! This book sucked me in and didn't let go until I had finished (Yes, the pun was intentional, sorry!)!
This is the story of Hazy, who is in her last year of pre-med at college. She is determined not to make the same mistake of sleeping with her ex-boyfriend, Blaine, when she meets three brothers living in the abandoned house across from her ex-boyfriend. Hunter, Laz, and Godric are nice, but Hazy is insanely attracted to Godric. As she gets to know him, they become close and begin dating. He is a vampire, and as they try to figure out their relationship, Blaine is a thorn in their side. What ensues is hot, romantic, funny, and perfect. I highly recommend this!

(3.5 stars!)

This is a fun read, the storyline doesn't really hold a lot of weight and is just lighthearted, it was ok for me it just wasn't that INTERESTING, their relationship just seemed to revolve around sex and it just seemed a bit like....... why do you even like each other (mainly her to him - like all you want to do is jump him... girl ....... please!)

Ah I was so excited to get my hands on this book. Helena Hunting is one of my favorite authors. To receive a copy of this book was amazing.
A little note. She used the name Eva Knight this time around as her pen name.
This book was a big leap of faith since I'm not a huge fan of fantasy books. Usually I pass on vampires. Yet, I believed Helena could change my mind.
Told in dual pov this was a love story between college student Hazy and vampire/student Godric. Their love story unfolded splendidly. Their connection was simply beautiful to read. It wasn't only just the sexual but also the emotional connection that was amazing. And those sexy scenes were hot and steamy!! Just the way I like them. I also loved how he explained everything to her in a calming and factual way along the way. Which helped me as a reader to figure him out as a vampire. His brothers were both hilarious and supportive. I'm hoping for a book with either of them next!! My only hmm moment was the ex Blaine. He was a difficult character to figure out. He turned into a caricature of an evil person that was more odd than evil. He wasn't too far off in his suspicions that something was up with Godric. Yet, no clue why he cared so much since clearly Hazy was never getting back together with him. Also I would love more of her best friends Alyssa and Satya in the book. They were fantastic.
The ending was superb and exactly what I loved. Overall, yes I loved this book!! It was magical!! Please read this gem, you won't regret it!!
Thank you to the publisher, Helena Hunting's team, and Netgalley for my copy!!

Eva Knight is Helena Hunting’s pen name for her paranormal romance. I was not a huge fan of paranormal romance books until recent, I avoided them. However lately I’ve been reading more and more of them and am loving them. I was excited to read this book, since Helena Hunting is one of my favorite authors.

Its about Hazel and Godric. Hazel is in her 4th year of college and Godric and his brothers had just transferred there. As soon as Hazel and Godric saw each other, they knew there was something there between them. It was hard for Godric to stay away from Hazel, but Hazel was taking any chance she could to talk to him. Every time they started a conversation he would leave mid-way, so she thought right away that her feeling were one way and he didn’t like her. But Godric knew Hazel was meant to be his mate, but he was a vampire and she was human. How could this even work, but the more he was near her and got to know her the more he needed to make Hazel his. Would Hazel accept him for who he is and would he be okay with being with her even if it was short time?

This book was steamy and makes you giggle throughout. During the read I was hoping for something more to happen, which doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good read but I was left with wanting more. I hope there is a sequel, because I want to know more of what happens with Hazel and Godric, many many many years in the future. And I needed

Received this ARC for my honest review and opinion.

If you are looking for a fun spicy vampire read for Halloween, definitely check this book out!

This book is firmly in the new adult category, and has a lot of Twlight-ish vibes, especially early in the book.

This paranormal romance, gives a new spin on vampire romance set in a contemporary setting. I loved the science aspect to this book, and it really makes it stand out for me.

I would say this book is low angst, slightly comedic, and there is not a 3rd act internal relationship drama. The external drama is handled by Godric and Hazy (and Godric’s brothers) as an united team.

I would love to see additional books featuring Godric’s brothers getting HEAs!

Helena Hunting but make it paranormal, so much yes!!!! I am here for all the vampire vibes.

I was a Twi-Hard so of course when I heard Helena had a pen name and her first book was a vampire one I was so excited. I loved Hazy and God(ric) so much. There was equal measure of romance, humor and vampireness. The book was so much more than I expected it to, to my pleasant surprise. We get all sorts of background of Godric and his brothers as well as the reason for their sabbatical and Godric's quest to improve the function of his race.

Blaine the pain lived up to his name but he was an integral part of the book. I loved his unending quest to figure out what was up with Godric and his brothers. I loved even more watching Hazy and the boys outsmart him. The connection between Hazy and Godric was everything!!

This was exactly what I needed in a paranormal romance. I highly recommend My Boyfriend is a Vampire to anyone who loves Helena's writing and is looking for a great read!!

My Boyfriend Is A Vampire is a hilariously funny, sexy, spoof like romcom perfect for Spooky Season!

I loved Hazy and Godric’s relationship and how it developed through the book. At some points it seemed a little bit insta-lovey but I would maybe think that one of them being a vampire means that emotions are heightened! 😅 I haven’t read many vampire books in the past, if any, and I really liked this one as an introduction! It was funny but also informative and that really helped me understand more about Godric and his brothers Hunter and Laz!
I absolutely loved Hazy! I felt like I related to her a lot and tbh if I was faced with a hot guy telling me he was a Vampire I’d probably fall into bed with him too 😂

Overall I adored this book! Definitely one to read this spooky season! It was so unserious that it made such a nice change to the heavy romances I’m used to reading!

4.5🌟

I’ll literally read anything this author reads and this paranormal is no different. While vampires and magic aren’t my normal reads, the author is able to bring out the fun quirky side of her characters to make it a fun rom com, with a vampire as a boyfriend. Let’s be honest, we all were in the era where we wanted a vampire as a boyfriend at some point.

So when Hazy meets Godric for the first time and feels all kinds of tingles, she knows that he’s different. Little did she know how much different he truly was. As they slowly grow closer through their pre med classes and becoming friends, they realize the intense connection they have with one another.

Hazy’s ex, Blaine, is one that doesn’t know how to back off though when Hazy said she’s done with him and even when she’s officially dating Godric. Through further investigation, they find out what Blaine is truly up to and have to figure out what to do next.

However, don’t let that fool you into thinking this is a dark romance. It’s far from it and exactly the kind of spooky book to read during Halloween season! Even if you don’t normally read paranormal, take a step outside your norm and try this one, you won’t regret the steam, the laughter, and the fun you’ll have with this one.
