If you love Christmas like I do you will love this sweet Christmas Story.
Teresa F. Morgan is a new author to me but as soon as I read the blurb I knew I needed to meet single mum Beth Sterling. I spent my summers growing up in Cornwall so I was excited to see how she described Trenouth Estate and I wasn’t disappointed.
Catrin Walker-Booth did a magical job bringing the characters and their story to life as well bringing the Christmas spirt alive.
Beth is doing her best to give her son George the life he deserves and the last thing she needs is to fall for Tristan Trenouth, the owner of the estate. But we all know we can’t always control our hearts and what follows is a magical, sweet Christmas read or listen.
I loved this book, I loved the characters but more importantly I was left smiling and thinking about childhood holidays and Christmas.
I was given a copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley.

Description:
Can Beth learn to open her heart this Christmas…? Between setting up her boutique and raising her six-year-old son, single mum Beth Sterling has little time for romance.
When she moves her business into a cosy converted stable on the scenic Trenouth Estate, she finds herself clashing with the handsome but aloof owner of the estate, Tristan Trenouth.
When the two are forced to work together, they grudgingly put their differences aside and agree to an uneasy truce that slowly blossoms into a strong mutual attraction.
But with a young son, a fledgling business and a painful past to contend with, Beth needs someone she can rely on. And Tristan has demons of his own to face…
Will they find happiness together in time for Christmas, or will the shadows of the past drive them apart?

What I liked about this book; The setting. Horse stables set up as small stores sounds so quaint! The winter fair. We have a victorian stroll here every December and I just love walking past all the shops decorated, so I can imagine seeing horse stables all decorated with lights and decorations is beautiful. Tristian’s mom and the other shop owners were so sweet and caring.
What I didn’t like; Beth acting like her life is so hard because she’s working and a single parent. Other people had George more than she did, so that didn’t make much sense. The woman having a baby during the charity event. She was such an insignificant character I can’t even remember her name and I just finished the book!! Why add that into the book when she could have used that space to have Tristian and Beth talk more since there was a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunication.
I’ve read worse Christmas books, but I’ve also read better.

Thank you to NetGalley and Saga Egmont Audio for the chance to listen to this audiobook for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and Saga Egmont Audio for the advanced audio book of Mistletoe at the Manor.
This book was a super cute, Christmas romance. The story was about Beth, who was a single mum of a little boy named George. Beth, has a unique clothing business and is now renting a space in a converted stable on the Trenouth Estate. The estate holds a variety of boutiques and is now complete with her upscale, one of a kind clothing that comes with a personal touch. Beth is hoping that making the move from the spare room of her brother, Jason’s home into her own space her business will flourish even more.
However, Beth’s first meeting at Trenouth Estate was anything but perfect. Tristin, who runs Trenouth Estate almost ran her off the road and just can’t seem to say anything right when he talks to her.
The story is filled with family strife, life in the face of adversity, conflict, an unfolding romance between Beth and Tristin, and the ever changing family dynamics.

DNF'd with about 20 minutes to go because I couldn't stand this awful book anymore. The first 60-70% was boring and unoriginal, but the last chunk of the book (minus the last 20 minutes or so) was atrocious in too many ways to mention. This is genuinely the worst book I have read in years, and the only thing that kept me listening as long as I did was the narration by Catrin Walker-Booth.

Mistletoe at the Manor was a fun, Christmas, romance. Single mother, Beth Sterling, has rented a shop at the converted stable on the scenic Trenouth Estate. There are a variety of boutiques and Beth is hoping this will give her business a boost. She sells one of a kind clothing by appointment, home parties and personal service. Beth and her son, George, live with her brother, Jason, having been disowned when she became pregnant. When Beth meets Tristan Trenouth, it is far from a meet cute, it is stormy and unpleasant. George and Tristan, however, hit it off well. As Beth and Tristan meet and spend time together working on a fundraising event, their feelings change toward one another. Both of them have baggage and/or issues to deal with before they can determine if their happily ever after lies with the other.

This story is what I look for in my Christmas romance books. It was light with some turmoil, but with Christmas magic, all works out. I think George was my favorite character. His exuberance and happiness made me smile every time he was in the story. The setting of Cornwall and especially the stables at Trenouth was wonderful. The descriptions of the people and events added to my enjoyment. One trope I am not a fan of is the miscommunication or non-communication one and that is what is in this book. There were a few storylines such as George's father, Beth's parents and the relationship with Tristan, it all comes together in the end. Is is predictable? Yes, at times, but there were also things I was not expecting. The narration of this book was performed by Catrin Walker-Booth. This is the first time I have listened to this narrator and I enjoyed her performance. She added emotion to the story and the voices were well done. I think I enjoyed this a bit more than reading because of her narration.

Teresa Morgan's Mistletoe at the Manor is a perfect companion to her other titles that take place in Kittiwake Cove. Beth Sterling is determined to grow her personal styling business in a permanent location, so she starts a brick and mortar shop on the Trenouth Estate which has a beautiful converted stable filled with other small businesses. She and her brother have forged a tightly-knit bond after their parents disowned them-her for becoming pregnant before university and her brother for being gay. This story is as much a family story as it is a romance. The community is a big part of the world building and Morgan does it well. A very sweet read!

Beth is a single mother trying to juggle raising a son, building a business and having a life. Tristan has no time for anything other than building back up the failing business his father left him when he passed away.

I always find it weird (being in the southern hemisphere) reading Christmas books set in the snow when it’s 40 degrees and 97% humidity outside at Christmas time. Maybe I’ve been getting it wrong this whole time, I just need to read them in winter! Even though winter in Queensland hardly counts as winter, it was at least nice listening to the wintery descriptions when there was a slight bite in the air.

I think this book might have sent me off on a single mum/dad hole as now all I can think about is finding another one in the depths of my TBR mountain to read next. There’s quite a bit of drama in this one, there’s ex partners, snowed in emergencies and the ever present threat of dog hear getting on the clothes.

If you’re not into the miscommunication trope then this book ain’t for you. At all. There isn’t really a third act breakup, mostly just the characters assuming something that isn’t actually happening and then going off in a huff.

Thanks to #NetGallery and the publisher. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Beth, a single young mom after a one-night stand on her 18th birthday, sets up her new boutique in the small town of Cornwall. She soon meets Tristan, the owner of the Manor, and clashes and falls for him at the same time. When the past comes to the present, it puts a strain on their relationship. This was a cheesy feel-good winter romance. It did follow the usual formula for romances, meets the guy, snowstorm where they get stranded together, misunderstanding which causes a 3rd act break up, etc. The characters were fun and if you are looking for an easy Christmas romance, then this one is for you.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I really enjoyed it.

Cute Christmas quick read. I enjoyed the storyline and I felt like that characters worked well together. I loved Beth’s and Tristan’s story. Very cute and quick read. I highly recommend if you want a cozy Christian boo to read.

this is a cute romance between two characters that initially dislike eachother due to different interaction and miscommunication (which is not my fave thing), however it was quite cute.
I did not feel however that it struck a chord with me, they both felt quite unidimensional and was annoyed with the heroine for keep on saying that for a mistake of getting pregnant when she was 18, did not trust herself to drink, or reverting to her brother for any big decisions or not getting laid - come on! not realistic. And she is happy with the decision of having the baby, so what's the problem miss!!???

This was a feel-good single mom, grumpy/sunshine, holiday romance set in a remote Cornwall Estate. Forced to work together to pull off a successful charity ball and Christmas Fayre at the estate, owner Tristan and renter Beth learn to put aside their differences, finding love along the way. Lots of feels and chemistry in this British romance sure to warm your heart over the holiday season. Good on audio and perfect for fans of authors like Beth Moran or Emily Stone. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

Young single mom Beth has been running her business out of the spare bedroom of her brother's home for far too long. So, she finds a venue to move her shop to, where she can see clients on an appointment basis, and everything seems to be looking up for her... Until she meets the "lord of the manor," Tristan.

He's hot-headed, contemptuous and quick to criticize. Yet there's something about him... After all, if he was really that grumpy, how could he have such a gentle and loving dog?

While Tristan regularly puts his foot in his mouth, Beth blossoms and begins to find her own way as her business takes off. Neighboring shop owners become extended family to her and her son, George, and with the holiday season upon them, it seems like there's so much more to be thankful for this year, especially when a last-minute cancellation puts Tristan in a bind, and Beth is the only one who can save him!

It's always a bit challenging when you realize as you're reading a book that you like some of the secondary characters more than the main ones. Seb and Tristan's mother were both wonderful characters that made my heart glow. Tristan and Beth? Not so much...

Still in all, this was a sweet holiday romance set on a manor, and if you love enemies-to-lovers stories, you might enjoy this one.

Thank you to Teresa Morgan, Saga Egmont and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

Estranged family members, false assumptions, and a happily ever after...this story has it all.

Audiobooks can easily be ruined by a bad narrator - The choice of narrators for this one was spot on ... super articulate and in line with the theme of the book.

This book was the first I've read by Teresa Morgan and I look forward to reading more.

If you're searching for a heartwarming Christmas romance that will sweep you away to the enchanting landscapes of Cornwall, "Mistletoe at the Manor" by Teresa F. Morgan is the perfect read to get you in a Christmassy mood.

Meet Beth Sterling, a dedicated single mother who is juggling the responsibilities of raising her young son and managing her burgeoning boutique. With her hands full, romance is the last thing on her mind. However, fate has other plans as she moves her business to the charming Trenouth Estate, forever intertwining her destiny with the enigmatic Tristan Trenouth, the estate's owner. As sparks fly and tensions rise between Beth and Tristan, their interactions are both captivating and amusing. The author skillfully navigates their clash of personalities, slowly unveiling layers of vulnerability beneath their outward facades. With each encounter, the undeniable chemistry between them blossoms into a tender and heartwarming attraction.

What sets this story apart is its exploration of the characters' emotional depths. Beth's struggles as a single mother and her quest for trust and reliability strike a chord with readers. Similarly, Tristan's complex past and his journey towards healing add a layer of emotional resonance to the narrative. As the holiday season unfolds, the tale takes unexpected turns, weaving together themes of second chances, redemption, and the power of family.

All these experiences are made possible through Catrin Walker-Booth, who did a great work with giving each character the right voice for the right context, and us, listeners, a great audiobook experience.

Special thanks to NetGalley, Saga Egmont Audio, and the editorial team for giving me the opportunity to review the ARC in audiobook format and to you, my reader, for taking the time to read this honest personal book review.

A heart-warming Christmas romance set in Cornwall! Perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Victoria Walters, Heidi Swain and Phillipa Ashley…

Can Beth learn to open her heart this Christmas…?

Between setting up her boutique and raising her six-year-old son, single mum Beth Sterling has little time for romance.

My Opinion

As expected with a festive book, this was a nice and easy book to follow and I found that it worked well as an audiobook. This had such a festive feel and it was such a heart-warming, feel-good book. Honestly if a festive book doesn't have an obvious ending, then is it really a Christmas book?

Rating 4/5

This book wasn't for me. I listened to the audiobook and it was very dower. There was no excitement. The relationship started off on the wrong foot and because of this I could never really like the main characters.
