With winter on the way, the third instalment of Princess Katie's Kittens feels particularly seasonal. If you're all about snow then Suki in the Snow is a must-read; a gorgeous story with a holiday setting told from both Katie and Suki's perspective...
Katie is off on her annual holiday to the mountains but is sad to leave the kittens. But when Suki sneaks into her backpack, Katie finds her winter break is rather more stressful than usual. When Suki sneaks out into the snow, it's not long before she is lost. Can Katie find her before frostbite sets in and keep her family and friends happy?
With strong themes of pet care, this is a gorgeous series for young animal lovers or those who love a princess story. Katie and Becky are caring characters who mix having fun with responsibility. Suki being lost in the snow creates naturally high stakes but also whisks readers away to a magical snowy landscape full of festival fun, ice-skating, igloos and all the best things about winter. This change of setting was refreshing and all the stories offer a very different adventure. Allowing readers to see things from Suki's point of view as well as Katie's is a genius move and adds a whole special USP to the series. We can't wait to see what the next kitten will get up to.
This book was so adorable, I loved everything about it, the illustrations were so well done, they suited the book perfectly, the story was amazing as well, even thought is very short I could really connect with the characters. I’m sure the kids are going to be just as enthralled with this amazing book as I was. I will definitely recommend! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy
I really loved this children's chapter book, which is about Princess Katie and her kitten Suki. Katie is going on a winter holiday and Suki sneaks into her backpack. Once on holiday, Suki gets bored and she goes out to explore in the snow. Katie and her friend Becky have to find her as soon as possible. What an adventure Suki has! This is a gorgeous book, with black and white illustrations and short chapters that older children will enjoy reading. Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.
Thank you so much to Piccadilly Press and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.
Princess Katie and Becky are going on holiday to the Blanc ski chalet, curious Suki stowsaway in her bag. But when she is left lonely most of the holiday whilst Katie and Becky are having fun skiing, ice skating and building igloos Suki goes exploring and finds her self lost in the cold white snow.
This was adorable I really love Suki she’s such a cute kitten and mischievous, she was told to stay with her siblings but she snook into Katie’s bag anyway and got a big scare the whole journey. She didn’t like that no one came to play with her much at all so felt she had no choice but to explore and see the white fluffy stuff falling. It was so cute but you worry about little Suki getting hurt in that colnedsess.
I really enjoyed this story it was really fun and cute and the illustrations are sweet, I loved Suki’s design she’s so precious. Another wonderful story in this sweet series. I liked that we got to see Katie and Becky having fun too, and the cute little exploring of Suki.
