YA whodunit. Loved the u usual p,ot line with lots of twists and turns. The idea of having spaces for feaders to predict who the killer is it a good one. However it is a bit clunky in places.
I think teens will like this but adults less so.

Another page turner from Ravena Guron. The snowed in setting adds drama, The sometimes unlikable side characters are saved by the three young heroines who all have a variety of motivations and keep the pace going throughout. Lots of twists and turns, some unexpected, keeps the attention flowing in this book. A really enjoyable read.

When three girls, Jayne, Devi, and Lizzie, are stranded in a snowstorm at Bramble Estate, they don't know they've stumbled upon a murder plot. Someone has poisoned wealthy Emily Vanforte at dinner! With knives under the floorboards and people hiding in the shadows with guns, the girls set out on an investigation to find out who the killer is. But in a house full of lies and corruption will the girls make it out alive?

This was a great ya thriller with so many twists, turns, and lies you never know where this is going to go. This had me gripped reading late into the night wanting to know how it would end. Each character was hiding something and I enjoyed slowly finding everything out. I highly recommend.

Here is the next YA mystery to add to your TBR

Catch Your Death by Ravena Guron follows three girls who find themselves stranded at the bramble estate in the middle of a snowstorm. Before they know it they are trapped in a mansion with a murderer and a family of liars

This was such a fun read. There were plenty of twists along the way and I thought the author created a great mix of characters. It was the sort of book that kept you guessing throughout. I would definitely recommend it to fans of Holly Jackson, Karen M McManus and Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I really enjoyed this authors debut earlier in the year so when I saw the opportunity to read this one early I snapped it up and I wasnโ€™t disappointed

Very much a YA read. Was a good whodunnit but as a 31 year old despite how much I still love childrenโ€™s stories / movies etc this one was definitely a teen fest / YA situation andi found it a little harder to take seriously. Fun enough & will definitely find its place! I think the younger audience will lap this up for sure ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you to NetGalley and Usborne publishing for the advance reader copy.

Catch your death is a YA mystery/thriller which leans to the younger side of YA.
Thereโ€™s a good sense of mystery which I can imagine will draw younger readers to start eventually reading other mystery or thriller books.

There are a few pages after certain parts to write what you think is happening, and Iโ€™m not sure if that will be in the published book, but it felt geared towards younger audiences.

Overall this wasnโ€™t for me, but I can see why some would like it.

Such a fun read, I fear saying too much and accidentally spoiling anything so I'll just say that one of my favourite things was the formatting of this book and the change of writing style in its different sections.

This was a really quick read as well, 400+ pages felt like a breeze with such short snappy chapters!

The story is told from the viewpoint of three witnesses in a murder investigation, both past and present. I absolutely loved this book and just as I thought I know what was going on, something would happen that would throw my theories out of the window! I loved the whole story, the plot and the characters were really well thought out and I love the added bonus that you, as the reader get two chances to write down your thoughts on who the killer is, means, motive and opportunity. I was wrong in my guesses but finding out who it was blew my mind. Highly recommended.

This is the not the first of Guron's novels that I have had the absolute pleasure of reading this year, and this one really did not disappoint.

The narrative follows three characters who have all been left at a manor estate and find themselves in the centre of a murder. I found the multiple pov narrative to add real depth to the story, and to witness the situation from the perspective of three TOTALLY different individuals added a new dimension to the plot.

Although I take myself to be pretty good at guessing the 'culprit' in murder mystery reads, this one took me totally by surprise, which I loved. It discussed themes of deceit, dishonesty and morally grey choices and these are my three favourite things about mystery novels, so as you can guess it was a delight to read. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a mysterious novel, where you have to be a detective too.

A major thank you for the access to this wonderful ARC.

This was awesome. I loved reading this. In Catch Your Death, we are introduced to the three main characters:
๐Ÿ–ค Devi
- smart-mouthed and bolshy
- a strong sense of adventure
- little reverence for danger
- a need to solve a mystery
๐Ÿ–ค Lottie
- not a risk taker
- strong moral compass
- consistently underestimated
- sweet and compassionate
๐Ÿ–ค & Jayne
- socially avoidant
- prefers cold hard facts to people
- does not enjoy conversation
- distant but still lovable
Each of these characters ends up staying overnight at The Bramble Estate in the West Wing that has been rumoured to be haunted. I could not help but to invest myself in these characters, particularly when they start bonding over the terrifying events that occur to them.

The setting of an isolated manor in a snow storm was a fantastic choice, there is nothing quite like a snowstorm on a night somebody is murdered to set up another angle of suspense. Alongside a family who hate each other, each with motive and opportunity to kill the tremendously wealthy matriarch who pulls all the strings.

I adore how things were tied up. I love how purely engaging this story was, this is the PERFECT book club read, particularly for those who are searching for the next One of Us is Lying. The plot to this is nothing short than diabolical and I feel very satisfied and smug after reading this, even if my skills as a sofa detective only guessed two plot points in this entire novel.

Thank you to NetGalley for sending an advanced copy for review. All opinions are my own.

Devi, Lizzie and Jayne are three strangers who were brought together when they all met at the elusive Bramble Estate on the night of a snowstorm. Due to weather conditions, the three girls are forced to stay the night at the estate where the famously wealthy Vanfortes live. The impromptu stay is interrupted by the sudden poisoning of their most gracious host, Emily Vanforte. As the night goes on, they will discover secrets within the house that will have them pointing fingers at all the houseโ€™s guests. Worrying about what they will the police the next day is one thing when they fear they wonโ€™t even make it through the night

I was intrigued by the blurb for this book because I was a big fan of AGGGTM and I love a good murder mystery. The book alternates between the characters of Devi, Lizzie and Jayne on the night of the murder and afterwards while they are being questioned by the police. I enjoyed reading the police transcripts as the girls tried to convince the police of what they saw that night; itโ€™s pretty clear that they know their words against the wealthy Vanfortes may not hold as much weight. I would say Devi was my favourite character. She was a straightforward, non-nonsense girl that dubs herself as the kind that always falls for a bad guy. Like all media in this genre, the first 10% of the book is a little slow as itโ€™s the setup but once it gets later into the night, then things start picking up. The more that the girls discover in the house and about their hosts, the more I was unable to put this book down. I ended up reading the last half of the book in one night because so much happened and I had to know who did it. This book had me constantly guessing about the murderer and I really the way it plays with your perception of reality so that itโ€™s even harder to figure out the mystery.

Perfect for fans of A Good Girlโ€™s Guide to Murder and Knives Out!

Finally! A YA thriller that you canโ€™t solve in the first 50 pages but keeps you guessing all the way through and invites you to write your own predictions and keep detailed notes.

Full of unpleasant characters who you donโ€™t mind getting their comeuppance but also teenagers who just want to see justice served.

A great read that I will certainly be stocking in my school library.

This is certainly an intriguing idea for a murder mystery. The reader every so often is asked who they think committed the murder of the domineering owner if a vast state who hates her husband. He is a politician and failed businessman dependent on her wealth. She knows he has committed crimes and also been unfaithful to her. She wants him to pay, not by being killed but by being in gaol. She brings together those he has damaged and plots his downfall. It is a story to keep you reading with several changes in the plot. What is clear is why the book has the title it has. This is a good read and I recommend it.

Thank you Jessica Feichtlbauer of Usborne Publishing for sending me the eArc of Ravena Guronsโ€™ #CatchYourDeath in exchange for my honest review, it is much appreciated.

This book slots nicely into its YA genre.
And although at nearly 37 ๐Ÿคซ I am technically not the target audience, i still thourougly enjoyed this teen mystery thriller.

Guron had me at the edge of my seat multiple times. Sheโ€™d added so many redherrings throughgout keeping me engaged.

I did however find some of the narrative repetative; maybe thats down to my age.
But in all a fantastic detective sleuth novel that i highly recommend.

If you enjoyed the Bay View trilogy, then you will enjoy โ€˜Catch Your Deathโ€™. A blizzard is raging; two strangers and the hired help, Lizzie, Devi and Jayne, find themselves stranded and locked in a wing at the Bramble Estate whilst a family meal takes place, during which the Emily Vanforte is poisoned. Using secret passageways, the girls investigate. Full of twists and turns and red herrings, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read โ€“ jampacked full of tension and adventure.

Published 7th December. A murder mystery that was easy to get drawn into and which then pulled the rug from under your feet and you realised that everything you thought you knew was all wrong. A twist that sends you down the many secret passageways in this isolated mansion. We have three POVs - Lizzie, Devi and Jayne - three teenagers who find themselves stranded at the Bramble Estate in a severe snowstorm. This manor house is the home of Emily Vanforte, an extremely wealthy woman who donated regularly to charities, her husband, Charles, a well known politician and their teenage daughter, Lottie. The night the three teenagers become stranded, Emily has organised a family dinner party, attended by herself, Charles and Lottie along with Douglas, Lottie's boyfriend and Tate, Charles' nephew. The three girls are put up - and locked up in the West Wing while the dinner party is in progress until their quiet evening is disturbed by the new that Emily Vanforte is dead! She has been poisoned! Cut off by the weather in a house where the electricity has suddenly been cut off, the three girls find themselves surrounded by suspects. With vanishing weapons and secret passageways and spyholes, the girls must solve the murder and stay alive. A super little mystery and, as I said, we have the three POVs of the three girls as well as transcripts of the police interviews. What the author also gives us is that twice in the book, she includes a blank page for us to jot down our thoughts - who do we suspect? Why? Who is telling the truth? There is a twist that makes you question what you read at the beginning and re-evaluate your own suspects. Some parts I was sort of on track for but not everything. As for the setting - a rambling place with secret passageways cut off by the snow - what is there not to love?

โ€œTrapped in a mansion with a murderer and a family of liars - how would you survive? A deathly thriller from the author of THIS BOOK KILLS, perfect for fans of Holly Jackson and Karen McManus.โ€

Three girls stranded in the middle of a snowstorm at Bramble Estate. Devi, who got lost on the way to visit her Nani, Lizzie, who was delivering a necklace to Emily Vanforte, and Jayne who works at the estate. They are witnesses to a murder plot as someone in the house has poisoned their wealthy host, Emily but only 3 other people were present in the dining room. Lottie, the daughter, Charles, the husband, Douglas, Lotties boyfriend and Tate, Emily and Charles nephew. Who wanted Emily dead and can Devi, Lizzie and Jayne solve the mystery?

Having read a previous book by this author which I enjoyed I was looking forward to reading this one especially as it gives you the opportunity to solve the murder. Did I guess the twist? Partially but the twists kept coming and this had me gripped wanting to know the truth. I loved the characters and the writing style which came from the POV of the characters. Yes it was reminiscent of Holly Jackson and Karen McManus but this book deserves to stand up on its own merit. I look forward to seeing what Ravena Guron has in store for us next as I for one will definitely be reading more from this author.

This is gripping. A brilliant story with characters who are both likeable and deplorable! Canโ€™t wait for this to come out so I can talk to people about it. Ravena Guron really gets good storytelling!
