Pretty good mafia book... I was entertained throughout the book. A who did it kind of book. Loved the ending... What a great mafia/alpha male kind of book.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and author for the copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I love mafia stories and this one did not disappoint. Loved the characters!
Ana’ character was without a doubt is my most favourite thing about this book. Plus, I am so excited for the next book already, seriously can’t wait!
Ana has been promised to Gio the new Don of the family but not everyone is happy with him taking over as the new Don. in fighting begins and though the two of them are good with everything her dreams are keeping this book going. There is plenty of suspense and intrigue as well. Good characters and a good book, worth the read.
This was an enjoyable read. The plot was nothing new as I've read other mafia books. Similar tropes and storyline. This one did not have the same depth in characters like others I've loved so it doesn't stand out as memorable.
I didn’t think I would like this, but I wasn’t too sure at the start, but as it went on, I become more more invested and by the end of it I fell in love with the main character and the romance I would 100% recommend and I haven’t Reddington from this author before so I was a little on edge about the writing style, but there was no need. It was easy to read, fast, paced and it just in golf due in a story I would highly recommend.
I absolutely loved this book so much. It was such a well-written mafia romance. Gio Bernandi is your typical Don who you can’t help up swoon for and you have Ana who stands her ground and is a hardworking woman. It was great to see the Donna have power and say in this story. I feel like it’s atypical for the woman to have a say or even own a business but she does / has both of those. The story was great and the ending threw me! I didn’t expect it to end that way or who the culprit was. I’m so excited for the new book in the Family and I can’t wait to see where this universe goes!
While I had fun reading this book, it did not stand out to me. I liked that Gio and Ana grew into their marriage and how they opened up to each other, that was enjoyable to read. The side characters were also fun and the book had the right amount of suspense to keep you reading. That being said, I wish there were more descriptions of scenes to build some atmosphere and the connections between them were also a bit clunky. Most of the time, you get thrown into a scene, have some dialogue and then the scene ends again. I feel like creating a bit more of an atmosphere would have helped this book.
Also, I prefer if the smut doesn't happen right away, so that you can feel the sexual tension between the characters. However, since this is a me thing, I did not let this influence my rating.
All in all, it is a quick and fun read. Good for people who want to dip their toes into a mafia book to see if they like it!
Gripping and complex mafia arranged marriage full of mob politics, secrets, manipulation and betrayal. Strong characters and plenty of intrigue and action, some very tense moments! And the underlying romance as the marriage grows in trust and emotion. Great mafia story, not just romance.
STEAMY STEAMY STEAMY
If you enjoy books that have things like: arranged marriage, mafia romance, epic suspense, spicy scenes, then this is the book for you.
I have not read many mafia romances and I feel like this was the perfect book to show me what I have been missing!
I think this book has something for everyone and is a book many people will enjoy reading, especially if you are just getting into more steamy mafia romances.
The suspense/thriller aspect of this book really took it to the next level and gave the plot more depth than a typical spicy book would. I thought the author did an excellent job with keeping the readers attention by adding more to the book than just spicy scenes.
I look forward to seeing what else this author does in the future!
I received this book through NetGalley in exchange for a review. I’m very new still with the mafia romance but I’m definitely wanting to read more if it’s anything like Ana and Gio. This book was so easy to get into and I enjoyed my time reading it.
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Read for me!
- Mafia Romance
-Aranged Marriage
-Family Lies
- Adopted FMC
- He Falls First
- Plot Twist
- Spice (2/5 🌶️)
Gio, the new Don, was betrothed to Ana before their pasts complicated things. The couple continued as planned unaware just how connected their dark pasts were.
Ana the adopted daughter of an elite family runs her own clothing line that she runs without the families help. She fights PTSD from her dark past as she tries to adjust to her new life married to the Don.
Gio the new Don of the family is still searching after an unknown traitor turned his family and turned his life up side down. The only upside is his developing connection with his new Donna.
Lily keeps you guessing with the "who” is the bad guy. I never expected ending until it was in my face.
I'm beyond excited to see who the next book follows and where the story goes!
I was gifted an ARC copy of this book from NetGqlley for an honest review! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity, this was a great book.

This was quite an enjoyable mafia romance book. It wasn’t particularly dark or smexy but had just enough to keep you interested and locked in. I loved how Gio and Ana’s relationship developed and to see how they navigated difficult situations with each other and with The Family. I definitely already see a book and relationship brewing with Emma and Luke and honestly I can’t wait to read their story lol.
What a ride. I throughly enjoyed this book. It’s my first from this author but it definitely will not be the last.

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.
It's ok.. Not the best Mafia book or the worst! Just nothing special about it. If you have never read Mafia romance before than this is a great starting point
If you’re looking for a soft introduction to mafia romance, this is it. The spice is on-page, but it’s muted.
•Anxiety/PTSD
• Arranged Marriage
•Mafia Romance
The first book in The Family made it easy to cheer on the main characters as they battled their pasts, including a twist that wasn’t expected. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
I liked it though I definitely have to reread it since I read it while I’m in a reading slump so my rating is a bit off. All in all, if you like dark romance with wonderful tropes I highly suggest this book.
A great start to a new series. I absolutely enjoyed reading Blue Blood and finished it in one sitting (I just couldn’t put it down)! I was on edge with all that unfolded as the story developed, constantly on an emotional roller coaster.
My heart broke for Ana and Gio. The development of the bond between them was beautiful, especially with how Ana’s doubts regarding his thoughts of their relationship. Gio was everything a Mafia Don is expecting to be, strong, wilful, determined (stubborn), loyal and protective, all that we love and sometimes envy.
Two other heart wrenching parts were of Gabi and Tony, their pasts, their trauma and their relationship . Something I hope is developed and shared more with us in the future.
Romance, Drama, Suspense and Action (as well as spice), Blue Blood has it all. This truly was a beautiful start to a new Mafia Family series, one of which I look forward to reading more of.
