I personally didn't realize this was a series. I couldn't get into the book personally. I think if I would read the whole series then this book and characters would make more sense.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.
This was a great book and I'll be purchasing it for the library.
This was a great book. I connected with the characters. I felt engrossed with the plot. I would read another book by this author.
I don’t know why but I could get into this book. I think Mabye the author is not for me. The concept however seems really nice so if you like the blurb I’d recommend
Recipe For Mr. Banksy by Anni Rose is part of the Recipe for Love series, but stands up on its own as well. Beauty therapist Daisy is having one of those days. She’s just ended things with her boyfriend. Coming home to a huge ‘Sold’ sign planted in their front lawn and hearing him planning to move them into caravan is the last straw. To top it off, her greedy landlord, who also happens to be her ex’s best friend, is threatening to ruin her business. So it’s no surprise a spelling mistake in the butcher’s window is enough to push her over the edge. And fixing it with a can of spray paint from a passing graffiti artist only makes things worse. The graffiti artist is actually trainee doctor Jackson. Street art helps him to relax when he’s not at his stressful job. Jackson doesn’t know what to make of the impulsive Daisy, but he can’t get her out of his head. As Daisy fights to save her business, fate seems to delight in throwing her and Jackson together. And boy do they make a good team. But can a passionate beauty therapist and a sensible doctor really have a future?
Recipe For Mr. Banksy is a fun and engaging read. I liked Daisy and her circle of friends, and the love she has for her nephew. I liked Jackson and his personality and desire to do good and bring joy. I thought the premise was good, and I really enjoyed the start of the book. I did think that some of the twists the book had to offer we a little predictable- I saw them coming fairly early and honestly expected them to be even bigger or problematic than they turned out to be. Similarly, I found the ending to be a little lackluster. I felt like all the building blocks and personalities were there for something amazing but we ended up with something that was perfectly fine but not quite what I was hoping for.
I laughed and cried in equal measures. A roller coaster of emotions! I especially loved the character Robbie and his relationship with the main characters.
I thought the title of the book wasn't all that accurate. You'd think from the title, one of the characters would be a baker or a chef and the other an artist. Well, you'd be half right, except by day, he's an emergency room doctor. She's an aesthetician and owns a spa.
I really loved this book. There was a lot going on, so that you weren't bored with the romance that didn't seem to be going anywhere, really, until it did. But the romance is just part of the story. I liked the main characters, Daisy and Jackson, and disliked some of the supporting characters, as you're meant to, This book throws in a little bit of everything and still manages to be a coherent, entertaining, credible story. However, for me, the star of the book is Robbie, Daisy's nephew. He's only 11 and yet has wisdom far behind his years. He gets most of the best lines in the book and keeps the pages turning as the story goes on.
This is the first book by this author I've read, but I've added several more of her books to my TBR. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
Thank you, NetGalley, for the chance to read and review this book. All opinions expressed are mine and freely given.
An uplifting read
I enjoyed this uplifting read with its unique plot line. It’s the first book I’ve read where graffiti art features. I particularly liked the character of Daisy and was rooting for her throughout. She has a strength of character I admired and her relationship with her nephew, Robbie, was lovely. I enjoyed the role he played. Fighting for a High Street is happening so often and I especially liked the way Daisy and Vicky worked together on the issue. There was a good twist towards the end that kept me interested and I was pleased there was a satisfying conclusion to the story.
I've picked this up and put it back down a couple times. I just can't seem to keep the characters straight. The story had good potential, but after reading more than 50%, it just wasn't for me!
Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced copy to read.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and of course the author for gifting me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
I thought this was a really cute book to read and was really funny, there was some romance between the 2 main characters but felt there was definitely room for a bit more. However the characters were easily loveable and they had a good dynamic.
Was able to read it fairly quickly as I did find it a nice easy read and there were definitely some laugh out loud moments.
This is my first time reading something by this author so I missed out on the first four books of the series. But after reading this, I would love to go back and read those as well. The story caught my attention from the beginning and held it all the way through.
The storyline had a nice smooth flow and the romance was wonderful and there were plenty of humorous moments that had me laughing out loud or just generally left me with a smile on my face. I also liked the inclusion of a little mystery that kept me guessing and engaged all the way through. Daisy and Jackson were wonderful characters and the storyline was very entertaining and kept me captivated till the end. This is a cute and charming story and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to read it!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC of Recipe for Mr Banksy.
Unfortunately I didn’t really connect with the characters in this book and found it slow moving. I’m sure other people might connect more closely to the story.
This book was so cute. The characters were SO well written and the tropes were very on point. Definitely would recommend it.
It’s a nice book, I really liked it. I liked how dedicated Daisy was to her dreams and how Jackson as a doctor chose art and graffiti as an emotional outlet. Patrick was a trash, creating a rift between Daisy and Faith and holding back Daisy from a safe home. The connection between Daisy and Jackson made sparks fly, if only they spent much more time together throughout the story. Nevertheless, I really recommend this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.
I was excited to read this book as the premise seemed witty, funny, and refreshing compared to many rom-com tropes out there recently.
And the idea is great! The execution wasn't my favorite, and I feel terrible giving it a 3-star review as I always try to find something I like with books and give constructive feedback, but I just couldn't connect with the characters and felt a little bit lost with the timings and the plot at times. It also took me much longer to read than it usually takes me.
I'm giving it a 2.5 but rounding up to 3 because it does have some redeeming qualities to it, I want to go back and read the others in the series of "recipe" books.
overall, it still an easy read and a cutesy rom-com.
thanks, NetGalley and the publishers for providing the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The premise was fun the execution was lacking. Slow moving and sometimes confusing I found myself struggling to reach for this book this week. Not for me unfortunately. Nevertheless, thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Although this book isn't for me. I am sure other people will like it. I found it slow and clunky. I didn't gel with the characters and I wasn't sold on the story. Sorry
