My 9 year old son did enjoy this one, he said it was fun and he liked the characters, and didn’t guess the surprise at the end, although according to him it wasn’t as good as the first one.
I think it’s brilliant that such a fantastic role model as Rashford has written this book as a great way to encourage boys to read.
I read this with my 8 year old son and we both loved this book.
This is a great adventure. The characters are interesting and brilliantly written.
There were funny parts and sad parts and it was great to see the characters come together to solve the mystery.
The writing is accessible for children and my son would keep asking for one extra chapter every night.
I love the premise behind the book and think it makes it so relatable for school age children.
Our first time at reading a fiction book by Marcus Rashford and it definitely won’t be the last.
Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review

This is another fun story from the Breakfast Club adventure. I love the way the group care so much for each other in this story. In this story, Asim is struggling with the fact that his mum has been away from home for a while for work. Because of this, he puts a lot of focus on the exhibition that his Art Club are putting on. However, his determination to shine is making some of the other members of the group feel bad. So when one of their paintings are stolen, Asim gets accused and made to leave the club. The Breakfast Club Adventurers then work together to try and clear Asim's name and help him to show his work at the exhibition. I loved the new character introduced in this book. I also loved that way the Breakfast Club Adventurers hold each other to account, for example by telling Asim when he's being rude to someone or by telling Marcus he's being unkind when he shouts at others. I think the great thing about this series of books is the way they talk about feelings of failure and anxieties about friendships and wanting to below. It think it's such an important thing for children to learn about, especially from someone they may view as a role model.
