Well this was a pretty big let down for me. It had such potential, but the writing just wasn’t for me.

I think mostly it was the high school teachers acting like high school students that got me. There’s a way to do that romance without making it feel immature.

The other thing that turned me off was the constant repetitions of the same phrases OVER AND OVER. I couldn’t get past that.

Off-the-Charts Chemistry by Christine Miles
Off-the-Charts Chemistry is a fiery romance that certainly lives up to its title. The chemistry between the protagonists is intense, with plenty of passion and tension. However, the book gets pretty spicy, so I ended up skipping some of the steamier parts. If you enjoy romance with a lot of heat and a bold connection, this book will definitely satisfy that craving! Just be prepared for a lot of intensity between the pages.

I didn't like it at all. The writing style, the plot, nothing was to my liking. The spicy scenes were poorly executed and felt rushed and unfinished.

I loved this book. Anyone that is a fan of Ali Hazelwood's books should most definitely give this book by Christine Miles a try. She blends smart with sexy in a story line so well. A fun, fast read.

Off-the-Charts Chemistry by Christine Miles is a quirky, slow-burn romance that proves brains and heart can spark some serious heat. Stacey Kinsella, a self-proclaimed unlucky-in-love chemistry teacher with a soft spot for cats and perfumery, isn’t expecting much from life—until Reece Caldwell, the school’s new football coach, walks into her classroom and flips her world upside down.

Reece, fresh off a career-saving chance as BVHS Bears’ head coach, isn’t looking for distractions. But Stacey’s wit, warmth, and penchant for black bras are impossible to ignore. Their banter crackles like a Bunsen burner, and the chemistry (pun intended) between them is undeniable.

As Reece fights to prove himself under the Friday Night Lights, Stacey begins to see herself through his eyes—brains, beauty, and all. But with his career on the line and her insecurities threatening to hold her back, can they turn their undeniable connection into something real?

With humor, heart, and just the right amount of spice, this kickoff to the Smart is Seriously Sexy series is perfect for fans of relatable heroines, second-chance heroes, and swoony, feel-good romance.

This was not the book for me, unfortunately! I have learned that I don't tend to love sciencey romances. But if you're a fan of Lessons in Chemistry, or Ali Hazelwood's books, this would be good for you!

This was a lighthearted, fun romance read. Though branded as a STEM romance, it also lives in the sports romance world and blurs the lines between. I think the writing style left a little to be desired. There were parts where I wasn't sure of the point of view. Miles jumped around a little confusingly. I feel like there should have been more transitions between chapters and scenes within the chapters. I enjoyed the time spent reading this one. There is a little spice, contained to a single chapter, but there's a bit of a slow burn up to it, but it is not necessarily a focal point of the plot.

The story was very cute. While the writing style was not my favorite I had to finish it and know how everything worked out.

If you're looking for a cute, quick romance to read, this is definitely a good option.

I liked both stacey and reece, they have a good dynamic. The book takes place over a pretty short time period, and I like that they don't make a huge leap to love. We end in a very natural place with potential for them to be more.

I liked the little chats between stacey and her friends and the time reece spends with the football team too.

Unfortunately, it didn't majorly blow me away, I can't really explain why because there's nothing I hated about it. It was a nice cute story.

I received an advance review copy of this book, and this review represents my honest opinion. Thank you to netgalley, Christine Miles, and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

I love a good teacher romance, and just in time for the new school year to start too! I thought that this story seemed more realistic than a lot of other over the top romance story which was really refreshing! The characters had unique friendships that most times aren't told any more.

This book was such a great read. The plot was easy to follow and I loved the STEM setting. This book was well written and I loved characters who were perfectly suited to each others and different than your usual romance characters, as they were in the older demographic and it was perfectly done.

I cannot say enough good things about this book. It was perfectly sweet and completely unputdownable!

I love a woman in STEM! I liked that Reece had eyes only for Stacey and focused on her so much. Their communication was a thing of dreams, with easy flowing conversation and the ability to actually talk like adults.

Stacey was a strong female lead, and I appreciated that she was unapologetic in who she was.

Very sweet and charming romance! The characters felt real and honest. There was no third act breakup, A+ to the author for that! Looking forward to more of this series of intelligent women!
