This book was very cute. An easy read I didn’t have to think too much about. I got frustrated at points with how childish Evie acted but it all worked out in the end

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review!
In sum, Evie's rented home is being sold, and she has to move. Unable to find anywhere that allows pets and is within her price range, she moves in with her elderly neighbour, Eleanore. Simultaneously, Eleanore's grandson Jake is back in Dublin on business, and is suspicious of Evie taking advantage of his grandmother and decides to move in with them himself.
The characters in this story were okay, but I didn't feel like I really got to know them - more like I was just scratching the surface. I feel the 3rd person narration is partly the reason for that; I personally don't like 3rd person narration all that much, especially for a more character driven story - one of my pet peeves is being told what a character thinks and feels, rather than the character showing it themselves. That being said, that is my subjective opinion and I know now everyone shares this view.
The plot was enjoyable enough: Evie needing to find a new place to live, a suspicious grandson wanting to make sure his grandmother wasn't being taken advantage of, enlisting the new house mate to help him with his business, a fake relationship developing into something more, and the ploy to take down a corrupt and unethical company.
At times, the story felt a bit rushed to me and that some things had been cut, resulting in other things happening sooner than what felt natural. I also would've preferred a different narration style. to end on a good note, I liked that this book had short chapters, as well as the book itself being short, so it was quick to read!

Love this!!
Thank you soooooo much netgalley, the author and the publisher for the advanced review copy if this book💗
"I voluntarily read and reviewed the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

I read this book in one sitting but I got to say: it's rushed. This cute and quirky romance novel could have been a great romance novel if not for the rushed process in the book. The characters never really got to me and the plot seemed to miss details, even though there was a plot twist happening. The plot twist flew by so fast, I read it twice to get it. There's no spice whatsoever, so it's great for readers that tend to avoid that and it wasn't negative for the plot. I actually liked that it was "PG-13" but still cute and fun. I truly wish it would not be rushed and hectic, that made all the time jumps confusing and the change of POV sometimes unreliable. The cover and plot is fun and attracted me to read this book, so that was really well done.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Sally Clements, and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced reader’s copy of The Home Share. All opinions published below are expressly my own personal views.
Evie is a twenty something struggling to find housing for herself and her cat Cleo, when her octogenarian neighbor, Eleanore, offers to let the pair stay on her first floor. The only catch? Eleanore’s grumpy grandson is staying with them for a period of time while in town.
This book was definitely a fun little light read. The plot wasn’t particularly earth shaking which made for a nice palette cleanser between heavier books. It could benefit from an additional proof and some of the characterization felt lazy but I would recommend this for a quick change of pace.

It was fun to read. Loved the characters too. Enjoyed till the end. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a free e-book.

*ARC Read*
Thank you to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for this ARC, in exchange for an honest review. I’d first like to share that I am so happy that this isn’t another small-town USA romance story. I finished this book in one sitting, and I highly enjoyed it! It’s an easy read, and I felt like I was able to relate to and love the characters very early on. One of my favorite lines from the book was “They dissolved like instant coffee grains in boiling water,” I felt like this was a great visual, and showed at that moment how they, Jake and Evie, meshed together. I love Evie’s job, and that the first interaction between the characters was a distant interaction where we don’t realize who he is at first. It wasn’t the job I was expecting, and I think that’s what made it so great. I adored the fireworks moment. I mean who doesn’t love a cat in a story? The side characters are written so well, and I love all of Eleanore’s groups that she welcomes into her home! I’m a sucker for a cartoon cover on a romance book, as well. I can’t wait to look into other Sally Clements books after this one!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this eARC of 'The Home Share' by Sally Clements.
Lighthearted and very short, 'The Home Share' is perfect for all you contemporary romance fans who want to try something new. It wasn't my favourite contemporary I've ever read but it was still a great novel by Sally Clements and I'll happily try more of her works.

I adore faking dating book so this book is right up my ally when it come to books.
I also really enjoyed the way the book was written and that it was a shorter read.

A great read. Evie needs a new house and her neighbour offers her a place to stay next door. Jake, grandson of the neighbour, is not too happy, but they end up in a fake relationship so will this lead to more?

I really loved the idea of this plot but the execution was a little bit bumpy for me. I felt like I missed the connection between the couples because it felt very instant to me. I liked the idea of the setting and the relationship the girl had with the grandmother and how the grandmother took her in. This book was a two star rating since it fell a little short for me, but others will still enjoy it. Thank you for the chance to read and review.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% my own.
This book was a quick and easy read. Sally Clements did a great job of writing a good book with a solid plot in under two hundred pages, although I wish the book has focused more on Evie and Jake’s relationship and their house share with Eleanore rather than on Jake’s work problems.
Eleanore as a character was the highlight of this book. She was so interesting with her quirks and many clubs dedicated to a whole host of things.
I’ll definitely pick up some more Sally Clements books next time I fancy a quick read!

This book seemed to have so many themes that I really enjoy in romances including fake relationships, different living situations, conflict and reconciliation. I really enjoyed the characters and found them to be relatable and entertaining.

I am primarily a thriller reader but have taken up more light romances over the past few months. This book seemed to have so many themes that I really enjoy in romances including fake relationships, different living situations, conflict and reconciliation. I really enjoyed the characters and found them to be relatable and entertaining. This was definitely a feel good read and I look forward to reading more from Sally Clements.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Thank you to NetGalley and Sally Clements for this eARC in return for an honest review.

This story is a quick and fun read that combines forced proximity with the fake relationship trope, and it definitely made my rom-com-loving heart happy.

I normally find forced proximity and fake dating to be among my favorite tropes.
As Evie needs a place to stay, Eleanor allows her to move in because she needs money as well. Her Grandson Jake comes to Dublin from England for work. He doesn't like the situation with Evie living with Eleanor however when he needs a date for a job Evie pitches in. Jake is kind and caring and Evie and him fall in love. It's a short story and the characters could be developed more. The voice goes from 1st and 3rd person.
Overall it's a good story.
Publisher's and Netgalley thanks for the ARC.

An amazing story . Evie is looking for an apartment which allows animals and she can't find any so her neighbour Eleanore asks her to home share . When Eleanore's grandson Jake comes to Dublin for work from London he doesn't feel good about their home sharing . He thinks she will take advantage of his grandma . When he need to win some clients he ask her to help him and when they think they are couple they start pretenting to be a couple . But pretenting makes them realise that they really want to be together . What happens when the company he works is corrupted and he has to keep secret from her ?
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

I love a good “forced into a pretend relationship” story line, so I was intrigued by The Home Share! It was a quick and easy read. While I thought the idea behind the story was heart-warming and fun, it lacked depth in how well the reader gets to know the main characters and their feelings. Although it’s nice to have a quick read, I felt like this one moved too quickly and therefore skipped over some details in the main characters’ blossoming relationship, while focusing too much on Jake’s job. I wanted to love this one, but it fell a little flat for me.

I wasn’t a fan of this book. Don’t get me wrong, the original idea is pretty good, but the way it was writing was less. First, I feel like saying in the start of each chapter which point of view it is can help. Secondly, the way it was writing was pretty confusing, sometimes I didn’t know if it was writing at the 1 or 3 person. Then finally, all is happening way too quickly, there’s no time for the romance to build up, I feel like they kind of fall in love in a blink of an eye.

Evie needs a place to live, and Eleanore needs rent money. It's a win-win for both of them, until Eleanore's grumpy grandson moves in, too. He feels like he needs to protect his grandmother and her interests. He's sweet to his Gran, Evie's cat loves him, but she's not so sure. When he finds himself in a pickle for work, she reluctantly agrees to fake date him.
This book has some of my favorite tropes - forced proximity and fake dating, and I really enjoyed this. I loved Jake for the loyal caring person he is. I really enjoyed how his relationship with Evie evolved. It was obvious that, once they worked through outside factors, their relationship would work out. So there wasn't as much tension there, but it was still an enjoyable read for me!
