Great short biographies about figures of interest. I think these are perfect for teaching older kids and young teens English as a foreign language and they tie in with other curriculum subjects like science, geography and other topics like the environment.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my review.

Rebel Girls Little Library – 100 Tales of Dreamers and Doers

👩‍⚕️This is a fantastic collection of stories about amazing women all around the world.

👩‍🔬There are ten books in this set and each book covers a different topic. The topics are:

- 10 Women Who Dance
- 10 Women Who Make Music
- 10 Women Who Play Sports
- 10 Women Who Make Movies
- 10 Women Who Love Science
- 10 Women Who Explore
- 10 Women Who Love Animals
- 10 Women Who Invent
- 10 Women Who Help Others
- 10 Women Who Create Art

👩‍🏫 Each woman has 4 pages in these books. The first page includes an illustrated image of the woman along with her birth/death date, where she is/was from and what she does/did. The next three pages includes a short bio of the woman and her accomplishments.

👩‍🎨You’ll recognize some of these women – Florence Nightingale, Harriet Tubman, Frida Kahlo, Ada Lovelace, Marie Curie, Zendaya, Taylor Swift – but many of them you probably won’t know about already. I wasn’t familiar with many of these women, so I learned something by reading these wonderful books.

👩‍🚀I recommend this for all middle grade readers – girls and boys. This would be a fantastic classroom resource, too.

Thank you @netgalley and Rebel Girls for an eArc of these books, which I have read and reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

What a fantastic collection of books we're given here. I have a young daughter, and I'd heard about this series from Michelle Schusterman's YouTube videos. So glad we checked it out. We've gone through a couple of the books, and I know my daughter will treasure this collection for years to come.

This entry in the Rebel Girls collection includes 100 stories from previous Rebel Girls books retold for a younger audience. It includes 10 small hardcover books, each of which profiles 10 women. The collection represents activists, artists, athletes, dancers, explorers, inventors, and scientists. I love the diversity of women profiled.

Must read stories for all girls!

This Rebel Girls collection for young readers is a captivating blend of 100 inspiring stories from various fields. The diversity of women profiled, coupled with child-friendly narratives and beautifully illustrated portraits by different artists, makes it a delightful read. The added interactive element of scanned images for expanded audio stories enhances the overall experience. An inspiring and recommended choice for children, and even adults will find these stories interesting. Wish I had such books during my childhood!

Rebel Girls Little Library contains 10 books which each contains stories about inspirational women in 10 different categories which are women who create art, help others, invent, love animals, explore, love science, make movies, play sports, make music and dance. This box set is aimed at young girls between the ages of 4 and 8 years old however I'm 21 and found this interesting to read.

I loved the wide range of professions included as well as the range of cultures and nationalities represented throughout the ten books. The information is delivered in a really clear and concise way and I loved that the QR codes were included for if you wanted more information on a particular person. I loved the illustrations and the graphics included throughout and thought they made these books really engaging.

Overall this is definitely the kind of resource I wish had been available when I was growing up and another great read by Rebel Girls!

Good for kids, not for me. Obviously written for a younger audience. Cute book just not for me. I did like the selection of artists.

These were stories about different 'Rebel Girls' in different collections. They are perfect for bedtime stories for your younger readers who are starting to learn to read or while they are learning their letters. The stories are condensed, so the younger reader can be entertained and still be informed. So, perfect for preschool to elementary age. The individual stories could even serve as introductions to topics for teachers if they wanted to get creative, there were a couple of Rebel Girls that I could utilize in my 8th-grade history class to enhance my storytelling.

My family loves the rebel girls books and this library is no different. Sets of stories are broken into focus topics like dance, science, inventions, animals, sports, etc. This made it easy to focus on a subject and talk about multiple fantastic women at once! Would highly recommend.

I wish I had a physical copy of this Little Library! But I’m so thankful for the eARC.

The illustrations, as always, are so captivating. The stories are short and sweet, and most importantly, so inspiring.
I can definitely see myself buying this for all the young people in my life— boys and girls, both! I think any Rebel Girl book is not just important for young girls, but also young boys, so that they can learn from a young age that there are SO many inspiring women in the world.

Thank you to Rebel Girls for the Advanced Copy of Rebel Girls Little Library. I have really enjoyed their catalog of books and these are no exception. The Rebel Girls Little Library feature stories from other books reformatted for a younger audience; ideally elementary school aged. The pages are bright with bold colors to engage children when they read.

It's especially helpful that the stories are broken out by category.

Thoughts:
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This book is filled with so many inspirational girls and women. Despite it being aimed younger girls to show them other women doing amazing things, I as a woman in my 20’s loved reading it and learning about these people too. I appreciated the way in which it was written to inspire but doesn’t chastise people who don’t do such things, especially when mentioning disabled people as it can be such a varying spectrum. This can enable young disabled people to feel inspired without feeling disheartened if their condition prevents them from such achievements.

Favourite Quote:
"Sara always had to defend her right to do her job. Sometimes she wondered how much more she could have done if she didn’t have to fight all the time. She stands up for everyone’s right to have the career they want. Being a woman or being from Iran shouldn’t stop them. Just like it didn’t stop her."
