These winter stories are fantastic for a quick read whether it be through the day or for bedtime reading. I really like how this is split into different sections with a great selection of stories. The illustrations are really pretty and the front cover really draws your attention.
These stories are from all over the world and it makes for a very interesting read. I have read a couple of these before but mostly it was all new to me.Great fun.

It made me excited about winter. This book about the magic of winter is phenomenal with amazing selection of stories across the globe and equally amazing pictures. I will read this again and again. Great match for the festive times.

This book is a collection of short tales and stories from different countries all over the world. The illustrations are BEAUTIFUL and all in all it's a really cute storybook. I don't have children but I still enjoyed this book anyway and I can see myself reading some of those stories to my kids someday. :)

A World Full Of Winter Stories Angela McAllister is a great collection of wintery stories that span the world. I loved this book and would highly recommend this.

Will definitely be purchasing this one for both my library collection and my home collection. A great read full of beautiful winter-themed folktales from all over the world. These stories are great on your own but are even better shared with a young reader! This beautifully illustrated folktale anthology should belong in every home. An enchanting book filled with winter stories from all around the world. Each tale is accompanied by beautiful matching illustrations, which really brought each story to life. I really liked that each tale has a note on where it’s from, and the illustrations are faithful to the country of origin. It’s been lovely to curl up on a winters night and read a story or two - each one only takes up a page or two, which makes them perfect to read aloud to youngsters.

It would make a beautiful gift for children in your life - or even the adults who also enjoy bite sized tales (I know I do!)

This was a wonderful book of wintery tales . With various sections from nature to christmas , animals to icy weather. Stories that will make you feel cozy , some may make you feel sad. A few of my favourites were the story of the duck and the wind, an overgrown mitten to make winter animals warm and the story of mother holle creating winter nights. Furthermore the art work was beautiful, from creatures great and small and scenic pages

This book collects various winter stories from all over the world. I have a soft spot for the Japanese story (the first rabbits) but the other stories in this collection also were told very well.

A World Full of Winter Stories is a beautifully, whimsically illustrated book of fifty legends and folk tales from around the world for children. Each story is short and is a perfect book for bedtime stories over winter and especially leading up to Christmas. The stories are simple and relaxing, making it perfect for bedtime, and with so many to choose from, it makes it a book with something for every child.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but these stories are so delightful! Travel around the world during the coldest, darkest time of year all from the comfort of your home.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is an amazing book. First of all I love the diversity in this book with tribal stories being represented alongside those from majority populations in countries. The illustrations are beautiful and appear almost hand painted or coloured which added a more delicate feel to the book on top of the stories. I also enjoyed learning new stories even from my own origins as there was some I didn’t recognise even from my own country.

This is a sweet book of winter-themed stories for children. I no longer live in a place that truly feels like winter in the winter, and these stories brought me back to winters of my childhood. Most of the stories felt whimsical and magical. I appreciated that the author included the origin of the stories as I felt like I was able to gain a little bit of cultural knowledge about the places represented. The illustrations were also really well done and added depth to the stories. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the stories were a little eerie in a way, like the one where the fire/ice siblings destroy each other at the end. Overall this was a nice wintery read and I would recommend it to those with kids at wintertime.

I love this series of books and have previously purchased them for family members.

The stories are lovely and illustrations are stunning. I love the representation for North America too

only downside is the lack of representation for the continent of Africa

This is a whimsical set of stories that you are guaranteed to enjoy. Grab a blanket, snuggle up, and read these wonderful bedtime stories from all over the world. Everyone needs this book in their library. The stories vary in length and culture. I love the winter theme, and the illustrations are wonderful. You can't go wrong with this book!

A beautiful little book with a wide range of stories. It would make an ideal gift for a child. Lots of stories that could be read aloud or read independently.

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories about winter. I appreciated that the tales were from various cultures and locations. Some were sweet, some were funny, some were a little creepy. I think there was a nice selection of different types of stories, even though they were based on the same theme. I absolutely loved the accompanying artwork. This is a perfect choice for bedtime, or when there isn't much time but you want to get some reading done.

Review of A World Full of Winter Stories
Our first experience with this series and author was the book “A World Full of Spooky Stories“ published in 2019 which we read during Halloween and thoroughly enjoyed. When we had to opportunity this year to review “A World Full of Winter Stories“ there was no hesitation, we knew this was going to be the perfect book for bedtime reading. The stories were entertaining, and fun, and a few were so silly I even had a laugh. Personally, I enjoyed the story from Scotland “Alexander Jones“, from the “Tricks and Troubles” chapter.

Having read two of the nine books of the “World Full Of…” series I can say there is a book for everyone in this collection. These books are great to keep as a collection or to pick for either seasonal reading, or following any interests the children in your life have. You can compare some stories from different parts of the world to stories you were told as a child, and see the differences if any from the stories shared.

This book is exactly as described with 50 winter stories from all over the world. There are also illustrations throughout. The stories are broken down into 5 different sub genres and each story tells you where is originated.

I loved this book! The stories and illustrations were adorable. I viewed this one electronically so I bet they are even better in person! The stories were all very short so I think this would be great for a young child. The stories really get you into the winter mood. Even the font that is used is really cute. I liked how the stories all ranged from around the world; it is always interesting to me to see stories from other countries.
