Sherry and the Sheep is a fun story to teach basic counting. The building tension and unusual twist will entertain kids. This is a great a book to add to Preschool and KN classrooms. Thank you NetGalley and Fulton Books for the ARC.
How sweet could this ever be❤️
Wonderful rhymes, great pictures! ı cannot wait to read this book to my 2 year old toddler.
I believe, we adults do not read children's books often enough.
In this charming children's book, young readers are treated to a delightful journey of friendship and learning. Sherry's playful attempts to get her friend Sheep to count beyond ten before falling asleep create an engaging storyline that captures both imagination and curiosity. With each turn of the page, children are encouraged to participate in counting along and eagerly await the surprise that awaits Sheep's counting adventures. The heartwarming conclusion of Sheep gradually adding more numbers brings joy and a sense of accomplishment, making this book a perfect blend of entertainment and early learning.
Get ready for a bedtime story that's as fun as hide-and-seek! Sherry And The Sheep is not just a cute children's book—it's a game-changer for bedtime routines. Imagine Sherry's dilemma: her friend Sheep keeps dozing off at the number ten! But here's the twist: one night, Sheep decides to shake things up, and that's when the real counting adventure begins.
I read this book with my little ones, and let me tell you, it's a hit! The illustrations are like a colorful dream, and the interactive counting had my kids giggling and eager to see what happens next. It's like teaching numbers without them even noticing.
Sherry and The Sheep has a nice message of persistence and not giving up. However, it just felt like an odd story that was a bit too short and didn't really go anywhere. The sheep wants to stay up yet can't count past 10. And then immediately they are able to count to eleven and then on. The end. It just felt flat but atleast my child did enjoy the counting element.
This one is a big no from me. It made no sense. Why was the sheep worried about counting past ten, if it didn't want to go to sleep, but always fell asleep before it got to ten? I could imagine the questions the kids would come up with, and I didn't have answers for them.
Sherry and her sweet little sheep can’t agree about how many sheep need to be counted to go to sleep. What a cute little story – lots of colorful illustrations, simple sentences on each page and cute little story! This honest review is offered in exchange for a digital copy from Netgalley.
Sherry and her friend Sheep love spending their whole day together. They love to go out and do all sorts of fun things. However, Sheep gets sad when it's nighttime because he can never make it past 10 when counting before he falls asleep. Every night he keeps practicing until he can finally do it!
This is a super quick read that would be great for very small children that are learning to count because they can be guided through the numbers the book goes on. Adults can help them say each number as they count along with sheep and then celebrate when they finally surpass 10! The book is well-illustrated and colorful with adorable main characters.
A short, charming book about a sheep that doesn't like bedtime. Colorful illustrations pair simple sentences with a familiar subject that teaches young readers to keep trying.
Sherry and the Sheep is cute story about a little girl and her stuffed toy who goes everywhere with her.
The only problem they have with each other is at bedtime, when Sheep can never count to more than 10 before falling sleep. Sherry urges him to do better, but Sheep is convinced that he will never pull it off.
Still, he keeps trying. And then, one night, he manages to get to 11! Every night after that, Sheep adds one more number to his counting, until soon he has totally overcome his numbers phobia.
This book has delightful illustrations and Sheep is particularly cute - though Sherry and her gap-toothed smile certainly give him a run for his money!
The book gently delivers a very important message to young readers - that with persistence and effort, all obstacles can be overcome.
