This is one of the best romcoms I read in a while. I loooved the one night stand/celebrity romance/enemies to lovers tropes mix. This was a whole lot of fun. Usually, I don't care much for the rockstar MCs but Theo was everything! I loved the character development for Clemmie. The romance was super sweet and I really enjoyed it.

If you want a nice, light, fun read, this is for you.

Brilliant! So warm and lovely, with a character you have to root for. Really great romance to, will recommend for fans of Emily Henry.

This book was a 10/10
Loved everything about under your spell. Clemmie was a inspiring mfc I loved how she went through the motions of finding herself and dealing with her past to get to the amazing man that is Theo. Nearing the end it felt a little fanfic written but that didn't take away from the totally amazing story line I was so invested in the couple that I couldn't put it down I felt myself screaming at my kindle when Theo left clemmie but by the end when they got together again was everything..

Recommend this book to everyone who wasn't a laugh out loud read with all the romance and feels that is this book

Clementine Monroe is not having a good time; she has just split up from her cheating boyfriend and lost her job. Her sisters Lil and Serena rally around and after a few drinks they carry out the breakup spell like they used to do as teenagers.

Clemmie ends up with a job babysitting Theo Elliot, a famous musician who is on a deadline to complete his long-awaited new album. As time passes, it seems that the sisters’ wishes could be coming true.

I was expecting more of a supernatural element from the mention of the spell but found the book to be good fun and very readable. I enjoyed the author’s writing and the banter between the characters. I think my favourite element was the relationship between the three sisters. I thought the book got off to a strong start but did slow a little in the middle with a rather face pace to the ending.

I would recommend to readers who are looking for a romance with good humour and fans of the forced proximity trope.

I am rating this book 3.75 stars (rounded up to 4 stars).

Thank you to the publisher, Simon & Schuster UK for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Oh this was such a fun book. My cheeks ached so much after reading because I was just grinning like an idiot and laughing my head off, but Wood doesn't shy away from the heartbreak and tension either. Clemmie was a character I instantly empathised with. She's had somewhat of a different upbringing, being the daughter of a rock star, but she's never liked the lime light, and she absolutely refuses to date anyone famous like her father. But being dumped by your boyfriend of 4 years, and being told you're going to loose your job all within the same week has a way of changing people's perspective, so when Clemmie's sister begs her to take a job babysitting one of the most famous rockstars on the planet, she finds it hard to turn down. Theo Eliott may be the most gorgeous man Clemmie has ever set her eyes on, but she knows rock stars, knows how they live for the lime light and nothing more, meaning she isn't worried about anything romantic happening, that is until she meets him and Theo ends up not being at all what she expected. Clemmie's wish for a happy ending may be coming true before her eyes, but she will have to open herself up to being hurt if she's going to take the plunge.

I honestly adored Clemmie and her sisters, Serena and Lil. Wood does a brilliant job of showing the joys of sisterhood. Their upbringing was definitely unique and each of them dealt with it, and their dad differently. Serena and Lil embraced the fame and chose jobs in the music industry, while Clemmie chose a career that couldn't be further away from the spotlight. We learn pretty early on that their childhood with a famous dad wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, instead they had a distant and forgetful father who only spent time with him when he remembered they existed. It's easy to see why Clemmie chose to shut herself off from that life, preferring to live in the shadows and leave the spotlight to her sisters. She's someone who is carrying an enormous amount of trauma and guilt over things that were out of her power, and I loved seeing how Wood allows her to acknowledge this through the story. She really grows as a character, from someone who wouldn't touch someone famous with a barge pole, to realising that not all rock stars are her father, and that opening herself up to one might be the bravest and best decision she could ever make.

Fans of forced proximity romance, mistaken identity, where both characters are head over heals for each other, but neither realises the other likes them (basically huge idiots in love vibes) then whoo boy is this the book for you. It's one of those romances that has you laughing out loud at some of the situations our characters find themselves in, and grinning like an idiot because of how hard they've fallen for each other without even realising. But despite these parts, and boy did I love them, Wood also uses their relationship to show the weariness and danger that comes with fame. How hard it can be to love someone whose relationship status is constantly under public speculation, someone who can't leave the house without getting snapped by the paparazzi. She really delves into the dark side of fame, how hard it can be on relationships, not just romantic but familial, and I loved seeing these two people who were wary of it for wholly different reasons realise it's worth all the drama if they are together.

When I say I polished this book off in a matter of hours I am not exaggerating. Wood wrote a story that was unputdownable, not just because of the steamy and tension filled romance, but also all the other relationships that feature. My favourite side characters were Clemmie's sisters Serena and Lil. I couldn't help but laugh out loud at their antics, knowing some of it isn't too different from how myself and my sisters act with each other. These are two people who are on Clemmie's side no matter what, and they make that abundantly clear to Theo when they threaten to murder him if he ever hurts her. Their antics, add to the humour, but also the heartbreak of the story, and I especially enjoyed seeing them find their own love throughout the story.

It's just such a fun book, one that will have you grinning at these two idiots in love. I laughed, I cried and I whooped at some of the sisters actions and antics. Perfect for all kinds of romance lovers, but especially those who like strong female representation. I will absolutely be checking out anything else Wood writes.

A wonderful laugh out loud book lots of comedy but heart warming and the characters are sassy and full of fun.
I really enjoyed the antics of sisters Clemmie, Serena and Lil they are so much fun especially when Clemmie falls for Theo who sounds gorgeous and so lovable and you quickly get caught up in the sisters love for one another.
Would highly recommend for a story all about sisterly love and adventure.

A glitteringly enjoyable romcom. My favourite part of this book, funnily enough, was the sisterly dynamic. Although they aren't actually witches they reminded me of Hocus Pocus. It was an interesting family set up, well thought out.

At one point I wondered if this was Harry Styles fanfic (which I dig so that is a-okay with me). The chemistry was brilliant between Clemmie & Theo and there were some steamier scenes. I will be fangirling Laura Wood and anything she writes ✨️

Thanks to Simon Schuster & Netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review 🧡

This was the first of Laura's books that I've read so I really didn't know what to expect, but I absolutely loved it! I adored the relationship between Clementine and her sisters, and that even though they were all different they all came together when she needed them. I also loved Theo - a 10/10 MMC! This really was a gorgeous read, and I cannot wait to recommend it to everyone!

Thank you NetGalley and Simon and Schuster UK for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I loved Laura's previous books and was excited to get the opportunity to read Under Your Spell. I loved this book sooo much, the characters: Clemmie and her her sisters Serena and Lil and of course Theo - another hot book boyfriend. This book had me in stitches and swooning. A fabulous read I really recommend.

Under Your Spell has a very good premise, but the overall this reading wasn't for me. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get involved enough in the story, The beginning has potential but the rest of the plot is in my opinion very slow paced, Clemmie suffered so much, but in many moments she was just right down silly.

What made up for this was the rest of the book, around 70% of the story, it got a lot more interesting and the ending was cute, even if a little rushed. It's a really nice book for rom-com lovers, but I feel it doesn't have as robust an essence as other books. It's worth reading, but without putting too many expectations.

I so loved the heroine. Clemmie was Theo’ polar opposite with her sunshine nature but they balanced each other out very well. I found their romance was very adorable and fun.

I recently had the pleasure of delving into this book, and I am beyond impressed with the mesmerizing world that the author has crafted. From start to finish, the intricate plot weaves a tapestry of suspense, emotion, and unexpected twists that kept me eagerly turning the pages.

One of the standout features of this book is undoubtedly its characters. Each one is meticulously developed, breathing life into the narrative with their unique personalities, motivations, and flaws. The protagonists are not just names on paper; they are relatable, complex individuals with whom readers can form a genuine connection. The antagonist, too, is not a mere foil but a multi-dimensional force that adds depth to the story. The author's ability to create such well-rounded characters is a testament to their storytelling prowess.

The plot unfolds seamlessly, drawing the reader into a richly layered narrative that expertly balances tension, drama, and moments of poignant reflection. The pacing is impeccable, maintaining a perfect rhythm that keeps the reader engaged without sacrificing the depth of the story. The author skillfully navigates through various plot arcs, interweaving them with finesse to create a cohesive and satisfying whole.

What sets this book apart is its ability to tackle profound themes while maintaining an accessible and engaging narrative. The book seamlessly combines suspense and emotional depth, making it a truly immersive experience. The author's prose is both elegant and evocative, painting vivid imagery that lingers in the reader's mind long after the final page is turned.

As I reached the conclusion, I found myself yearning for more from this talented author. Their ability to craft a gripping plot and bring characters to life is truly commendable. I eagerly anticipate future works and would wholeheartedly recommend this book to any reader who appreciates a masterfully told tale. If you're searching for a book that seamlessly blends captivating characters with a compelling plot, this is a shining example. I have a lot of thoughts, which can be aptly summed thus: I LOVE LAURA WOOD! I would read her shopping lists if she published them.

The characters are wonderful, and I particularly adored the relationship between main character Clementine and her two sisters, as one of 3 sisters myself! It was so grounded and honest, and how they showed up and supported each other tugged on my heartstrings. The family element was so important to this novel and so well handled.

And the romance! Absolutely gorgeous. Laura Wood has me head over heels for each of her fictional men. It's incredible that she had this wonderful book and ALSO the amazing sequel to Agency for Scandal, A Season for Scandal, out this year. It's the year of Laura Wood & she absolutely deserves her flowers!
