A fun read that gives you the enemies to lovers trope! Good relationship development and funny characters that actually make you lol! I loved their banter. Would recommend to my friends

Sparks fly when an occult expert and a disgraced archeologist become enemies-with-benefits in this steamy romance.

Riley Rhodes finally has the chance to turn her family’s knack for the supernatural into a legitimate business when she’s hired to break the curse on an infamous Scottish castle. Used to working alone in her alienating occupation, she's pleasantly surprised to meet a handsome stranger upon arrival—until he tries to get her fired.

I love Rosie Danans writing. Her other books have been so much fun for me. But for some reason this one fell a little flat. It felt slightly formulaic, which was disappointing seeing as it included so many of my favourite things. Enemies to lovers? Amazing. Scottish Highlands? Love. Witches? Sign me up.

Concept was phenomenal, execution was just a little lacking in my opinion

Do Your Worst is an enemies to lovers romance based in a Scottish Castle that Riley is sent to to break a curse and ends up getting stabbed in the back (metaphorically) by the handsome stranger she shares a kiss with, Clark, who is trying to get her off the case so she doesn't get ousted for fraud - naturally leading to a sizzling enemies to lovers story, where no matter how hard they try they just keep ending up back in very close proximity until the palpable attraction overflows.

I absolutely loved this story, Riley and Clark had me laughing and blushing, and I could feel the tension and chemistry bouncing off the pages. I thought there was a great storyline and a fun cat and mouse element to it.

Do Your Worst is an enemies to lovers romance between Riley, a curse breaker, and Clark, an archaeologist, who are both working on assignments at Arden Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Both protagonists have difficult relationships with their family and the ways in which this has affected them as well as the ways they try and resolve these problems are also explored in this book.

When I picked this up I was hoping for some cozy, mystical, spooky vibes in the lead up to Halloween and this book sounded like a great fit. I will start by saying I did enjoy the Scottish highlands setting and thought that the scenes which took place in the small village pub perfectly reflected remote countryside life so felt very nostalgic and comforting. The idea of curses and curse breaking had so much potential as a magic system and I was excited to become immersed in this system.

However, it felt like the curse was simply a plot device to get the main characters together and by the end the number of coincidences involving the curse became quite ridiculous. Additionally, I found that I couldn't warm to either of the main characters especially Riley. I think this is mainly due to the flaws in the curse system so I wasn't convinced that she wasn't just an arrogant fraud. The relationship between Clark and Riley made no sense and was extremely insta-lusty which isn't my cup of tea at all.

Overall this book wasn't for me as I couldn't buy into the romance or either of the protagonists so it became a slog to get through.

I am slightly disappointed with this release. I loved the first to releases but this just didn't hit the same. Overall it was a solid book but it just didn't get the same feelings

Rosie Danan writes the most compelling and fun romance novels I've ever read! Such a fun, and slightly spooky, enemies to lovers who just can't stay away from each other. Exciting, full of banter and tense fighting, as well as a setting to die for.

Do your worst - Rosie Danan

I thought the idea for this book was great fun, and a little silly in places, which added to the enjoyment for me, however I did find it hard to see the connection between Riley and Clarke, it all seemed a little fast and just not really there. I did however enjoy the sexual chemistry between them as is always apparent in any Rosie Danan book I have read. Thank you very much Netgalley, Little Brown Book Group UK and Piatkus for the e-arc in return for my honest thoughts and opinions

I really enjoyed the premise of this book. Cursebreaker and archaeologist enemies to lovers? Incredible. However, the execution fell short for me.

As always, Rosie Danan really did a great job of building the chemistry of these characters. I really believed they were into each other, but I didn't believe they were falling in love. It was all just.

Overall, I didn't think this was a bad book, but it didn't reach it's full potential.

Thanks to NetGalley, Rosie Danan and the Little Brown Book Group for the free e-arc. All opinions are my own.

This book has a lot of funny banter (enemies to lovers). It's a slow burn between the characters & does have spice. I didn't feel the connection between the two main characters, but the story still worked.

The book's only downside is that the two main characters got on my nerves, feeling sorry for themselves.

This book was entertaining but there was something missing for me, maybe in the pacing maybe in just how it was put together but it alternated between really interesting and quite boring.

I really enjoyed this one! Definitely more than I expected to. Whilst is was slow in some places, I found myself still wanting to read on. It was a fun, lighthearted read, I loved the two main characters and the chemistry between them was incredible.

Actually loved this in the end. I had to wait until it was released on KU due to format issues but it was a freakin delight.

I had a really good time with this one. The two leads had a great dynamic and seeing them go from the good first meeting only for it then to turn into a rivals to lovers storyline was great.

Amazing book!
I was thoroughly engaged throughout this book and I didn't want to put it down! The author captured my attention from the get go! Five stars from me :)

A curse breaker and a disgraced archeologist find themselves together, stuck on assignment in a haunted castle in the Scottish Highlands. If that doesn't sound like the perfect set-up for a romance, then I don't know what else would.

This was a very fun light read. Not much emotional depth to the romance, it's definitely more physical, but the chemistry between the two main characters is incredible. There were a few slow-moving parts and at this point I feel the whole "parallel story foretelling the main story" device has been done often enough to come across as quite gimmicky. But this was still a very solid romcom, with just enough supernatural elements to keep things interesting.

Unfortunately this was most definitely a clash of personal tastes with this one. The overall premise was really interesting - an archaeologist and a curse breaker working together in the Scottish Highlands. However this felt a lot like those 'witchy', cosy paranormal romances that have been coming out in droves in recent years, and which are most definitely not for me. I didn't find the romance between Riley and Clark to be particularly interesting or unique, if anything it's a bit rushed and overall lacking in chemistry with none of the angst, actual enemies to lovers drama I normally enjoy. Because of this I found that I just didn't really feel invested in the story or plot.

The writing is good, and the premise is promising but the character development and romance was too rushed for me.

I ADORED this book!
I am absolutely in love with the witchy small town vibes! It’s a light hearted romance but it’s not without some comedic elements!
I cannot recommend it enough if to love enemies to lovers with some forced proximity and magic!

Riley is a curse breaker hired to break a curse on a scottish castle. Then she meets Clarke, an arceologist and sceptic who tries to get her fired as soon as she arrives. There is an attraction between them, but they both want the other one gone. Throw in the curse, and who knows what will happen.

As a Rosie Danan fan, I had high hopes for this one and was not disappointed. This was a light-hearted romance with some comedy thrown in. Add an ememies to lovers romance, and im sold. I had a fun time reading this.

Thank you to Netgalley, Lityle Brown Book Group, and Rosie Danan for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Enemies to Lovers - check
Forced proximity - check
Curses and magic - check

I don't know what else you would want in this romance novel, I loved every second of it. I would describe this as a cross between Outlander and A Discovery of Witches. The slow burn enemy to lovers was pulled off really well and could feel the growing chemistry between them.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved the idea of this story but something about the execution just didn’t quite work for me personally. It was quite long with a lot of drawn out monologues. But as I say, the story itself is great, I loved the characters and the mystery with the curse.
