This was a heartwarming story with great characters with difficult topics dealt with in a sensitive way. I was only a year younger than the twins when my parents split so this is very relatable. It was not an easy time for my family and as an adult I can appreciate how Chrissy feels.
It was lovely the way Chrissy slots into a new community and the girls fit into their new school even with the difficulties they first faced of not wanting to change to a new school. Again relatable as this also happened to me at around 12/13 years old.
I love the festivities in this book, Christmas is my favourite time of year and I love the atmosphere at Christmastime, kids laughing and cooing over their new gifts and the excitement that Santa has been. I love how the characters have been written and interact with one another, it's really lovely.
This is a lovely story about new beginnings and believing in yourself. After her divorce, Chrissy moves with her family to the Corner Cottage. She struggles to get her life back on track but turns her hobby into a career and works on her second chance at love.
Chrissy and her two children have just rented a cottage after breaking up with her husband and the girls father. Chrissy paid a deposit before even seeing the cottage. The cottage is so run down its almost unlivable. Moving to a new town and school is tough on the girls but they will hopefully settle eventually. Chrissy settles much quicker with the help of Luke. I think this uplifting story is just Devine and it filled me with so much happiness.
Chrissy Marsden moves to Corner Cottage with her children after her divorce, hoping for a fresh start. A chance encounter reignites her passion for sewing, leading her to consider turning it into a career. However, a surprise pregnancy throws her plans into turmoil. As Chrissy navigates the challenges of starting over, she discovers the possibility of romance and a new career path. This heartwarming story explores themes of betrayal, upheaval, and learning to trust and love again.
Christmas at Corner Cottage was a nice, fun holiday book. I read it in one day and enjoyed it. The story and characters were well written and flowed nicely.
I really loved and enjoyed this Heartwarming Hoilday romance. This story draws you in and doesn't let go until the very end. It was absolutely perfect for getting lost in. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
I just reviewed Christmas at Corner Cottage by Sarah Hope. #ChristmasatCornerCottage #NetGalley

This definitely was a matter of wrong place, wrong time. While I liked the set-up of this book, the execution felt quite rushed; That's probably at least partially because the author wanted to put about a year's worth of storyline into the month and a half before Christmas, but still... Just not the book for me, I'm afraid.
Beautiful festive read that warms your heart. The first book I've read of Sarah's and I'm looking forward to reading more.
I love books that involve fixing up run down forgotten houses and this was right up there. I really warmed to Chrissy and her determination to be present for her kids.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another lovely Christmas read form this author and as always I just loved snuggling up to this book with a cosy, warm cuppa and enjoying the holiday vibes.
Chrissy Marsden moves her family to Corner Cottage to start anew after her divorce. So will Chrissy settle in to her new life, career and maybe even a new romance? This is such a cute and cosy, heart-warming and lovely book to read. I did like Chrissy and loved that she became such a part of the community. You could really imagine this happening in your own world.
A lovely book, enjoyable to read and entertaining enough to keep me interested. Great characters and loved the setting, village and the cottage. Another good book by this author and as always I look forward to reading what comes next.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I was able to find the audio version through my local library app.
Very fast and easy read. The audio version is only 5 hours and some odd mins long. So I was able to listen to it within a 24 hours period.
I did enjoy the book all together. The characters were enjoyable and it is based around Christmas time and there was some Christmas mentioned in it but not a lot if that makes sense. So sometimes when I was listening to the book I forgot it took place during Christmas until a Christmas play was mentioned etc.
The main female character wow were do I even start. I feel like the love interest was just not very connected. I didn't feel like there was enough story with them. You kind of forget about him actually. He seems more like a side figure. The main female character wow what a treat she is. She annoyed me so much. She acts like she is 15 and not a grown adult that has twin daughters who are 10. She doesn't communicate or talk to anyone about her feelings. She mentions over and over and over and over and over that her love interest can't possibly love her or want to be with her because she is not as pretty as his Ex and not as fit as his ex. He is going to break up with her to get back together with his ex. When I say over and over and over I mean the entire book! It was so frustrating. I actually said out loud "WE GET IT!". Then instead of sitting down and talking to him about her feelings she just assumes he cheated on her and that he wasn't man enough to tell her the truth and what scum he was. (Eye roll). Honestly I don't blame him at the end the way he acted and when she told him she was pregnant he asked if it was his. Good for him! She deserved that! And she actually got offended! Her after she accused him the whole book of being a womanizer, cheater etc. I feel like the book told us that if he didn't find out she was pregnant with his child they would have never ever gotten back together and to be honest I wouldn't blame him for feeling that. I feel like the pregnancy story was a joke. The author felt that was the only way to bring them back together at the end because shocker that was the only thing that brought them back together was because she was pregnant.
Also the ex husband that has a new girlfriend and yes I agree he should not have backtracked on agreeing with getting his one daughter some stuff for her room then the girlfriend came in the middle. But I think when the daughter asked her mom if she has to apologize and the mom says no....I thought that was wrong. I think that everyone should apologize to each other and then move on it from there. But if that daughter was rude and screamed at the girlfriend then yes she should apologize.
I enjoyed the authors writing style and I am going to check out some more of her other books and see how they are but I hope they are not as annoying as this main character.
I didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as I did but it really drew me in. At first I must admit I was a bit hesitant about Chrissy and Luke’s relationship because it seemed to move so quick but I did think they were a good match.
The one thing I probably didn’t enjoy as much was the addition of the pregnancy, I felt it wasn’t really needed and made it seem like they stayed together because of the baby.
But, having said that, it was an enjoyable read and I would definitely read more by this author in the future.
Just loved this book. Read it in a couple of days.
Chrissy is starting a new life with her 10 year old twin daughters. She recently split from her husband and moves into Corner Cottage in a new village.
It all takes a of adjusting - girls are at a new school and they don’t know anyone. They’re all finally beginning to settle in. Chrissy has started sewing again and is hoping to start a new career in the future.
A surprise pregnancy could change everything
I really want to visit the place set in this book. It seems so nice and the characters I want to be my friends. Lovely book. Perfect for festive reading.
I have now read 3 of Sarah Hope's books all from the Escape to... series and I have truly enjoyed them all. Although they are romance books, they're not explicit and they have far more of a family aspect to the stories which I truly enjoy. I'm a sucker for a family unit being added to the romance.
I did like Luke's character, and Chrissy's. I wish there was more development in their relationship as there have been in Sarah's previous books because I felt like they had gone from friends to being in love rather quick, and I was somewhat disappointed with how quickly Chrissy was to disbelieve Luke with so little evidence. I feel like there could have been more misconstrued story to make Chrissy believe Luke had cheated, and therefore could have offered more to the story development overall. However, I did still read this book without having to put it down, which means I did enjoy it.

I enjoyed this cozy Christmas book a lot.
This is a sweet heartwarming Christmas romance that will keep you turning the pages. It's beautifully written and full of Christmas spirit. This book was a joy to read.
I received a complimentary copy from Boldwood Books via NetGalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
A sweet Christmas read. A little predictable but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of this book. A new author for me and one I'll read again. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
Chrissie is newly single with her twin daughters after her ex husband admits he has been having an affair. Moving miles away from her old life she is having to start again which is never easy, but one of her daughters makes it plain she isn’t happy and doesn’t want to be there
Will they manage to make a new life ?
I absolutely adore Christmas romances, especially if they contain small towns, found family, and friends to more. This novel contains two out of three.
The writing style is simple and easy to follow, using a plot done many times before. Single mum Chrissy moves her children to a small town following her divorce, where she meets Luke, who was hoping to buy the run down little house Chrissy rented for the family.
Utterly predictable, this is a nice lightweight read easily finished in an hour.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Newly single mom Chrissy is starting over in a new location. Her twin daughters are still getting used to their parents’ divorce and are not happy at leaving their school and friends behind, but It doesn’t take long for Chrissy and her girls to feel like part of the community and form new relationships. A totally uplifting and heartwarming read just in time for the holidays.
