The cover is beautiful on the outside, and the manga inside is full of wonderful images.
I really liked the development of the story, full of comedy with a bit of romance and seduction.
We get to know each one of them and get into their story.
I loved him, he is dedicated and does everything he can towards his goals, but he lets compassion take over, and he end up caring for others.
I don't know what to think about that ending, I just want answers and the next volume.
I think that even though society may not have progressed past the need for harem stories with lewd comedy moments I sure have. I probably would have been fine with the story (Uryuu must marry one of the three sisters to be officially adopted into the Amagami family and take over management of the shrine, even if the current patriarch pulled some shady strings to kind of force him into this position!) but the underwear shots and occupied bath and everything, I'm just tired. I've read a lot of manga by now and these tropes just ain't for me.
Despite this, Uryuu and the girls have more depth than expected, even if the gap moe is a trope for each of them, so I'm sure other people will like this more than me!

Uryu is chasing his dream of going to medical school. Like many of our favorite stories hes had a rough upbringing.
And its about to get more complicated when he arrives at his new foster home and it turns out to be a shrine with 3 young maiko!
And hes supposed to marry one of them?!
Okay THIS ONE is super cute. It waid if you liked the quintesential quintuplets youd like this one and i definetly agree. The art style is cozy and warm. A must read !
Thank you to net galley and kodansha for letting me read the arc!
Uryu Kamihate has problem. He needs a place to stay while he studies, one without distractions. But when he get the offer of staying at a shrine rent and board-free, he encounters a problem. The shrine priest is the grandfather of three shrine maidens and wants Uryu to take inherit the shrine by marrying one of the maidens. A marriage would complicate Uryu's plans of becoming a doctor. So will he tie a knot with one of the Amagami sisters? Read on and find out!
Thanks Netgalley for the chance to read this title!
Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Vol 1 is a Romantic Comedy that gives a wholesome, slapstick and some fanservice for comedic effect.
This is set with the lead characters 14-20 and all completely different tropes. Messy, artsy, try hard, dead parents, cutesy, and more make it so you can latch on to someone to enjoy in this series.
The ML is not remotely looking for love and is looking to study hard to go to medical school and finds himself faced with three young women and possibly being forced to pick one as his future wife to have a place to call home while he studies.
This Manga brings quintessential vibes with the sisters and how different they are and how. They respond to the ML but a more endearing ML but also for some reason reminded me of March comes in like a lion.
Definitely recommend if you are okay with fanservice.

Thanks to Netgalley. for the ARC Copy for an honest review.
Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister' is a harem comedy, if that's what you are looking for then you'll probably enjoy this manga. The art style is really nice. The pacing is good and the story is ok, its fun. I'm not really into harem comedy so I probably won't pick up volume 2.

A little too heavy on the teenage boy imagery (big boobs and lingerie scenes throughout) but towards the end the characters did begin to show some real emotions.
It reminds me a bit of The Quintessential Quintuplets, so if you liked that series you will probably like this one.

An atheist teenage boy, Uryu, gets taken in by a mysterious man who owns a shrine. On arrival, he has a chaotic introduction with the three Miko that live there. From there, he learns he is to marry one of the three lady’s living there and inherit the shrine. When he learns this, he is rightfully taken aback, as are the girls.
There were a couple of problematic subjects in here that affected my rating. One being the fact that youngest girl was forced into a marriage interview was only 14yrs old (granted, it does take place in Japan. Consent age is lower than where I live). The other two were either his age or older. The second thing that I found problematic was the fact Uryu was forced into this situation. Gramps (owner of the shrine) had prior knowledge of Uryu’s wants for his future and his past and dangle things that would help further his passions. For example, Uryu is very serious about school, and Gramps knew this and got him into a really good school for his academic path. Then drops that Uryu has to marry one of the girls, but if Uryu refuses than he rescinds his offer to the school. It just bothered me.
Overall, The story was funny and had it’s sad and serious moments. I did appreciate the fact that the author included Uryu’s back story, as well as the girls. It gave the characters more depth. I really liked seeing the characters development through out and seeing them open up to one another by the end of volume 1. The twist at the end I was not expecting and I’m not mad about it. It’s not my favorite manga, but it was an enjoyable read.

Super fun book. Easy reading with great art and a very interesting story line. Very excited to see Volume 2

The art style of this manga is great but some scenes in this manga made me feel uncomfortable 😭😭. This manga is a romance manga with harem and a mix of comedy ish.
Thank you netgalley and Kodansha Comics for the copy!
First of all, the drawings are beautiful. It is an entertaining story but, silly me, I was expecting a marriage romance and it is not that at all. Funny, entertaining and naughty in places, I would recommend it to any manga lover out there
Uryu is a 17 year old foster child who has recently grown a bit to old for his current foster home. An elderly man allows him to come live at his temple...but with a interesting compromise. Uryu must marry one of his 3 beautiful granddaughters!
I thought this was a great start to a new manga series and wanted to see where it went next. I liked all 3 personalities of the granddaughters, and I loved to see how hard Uryu was studying to fulfill his dreams. The one thing that I didn't love was that it was overly sexualizing the granddaughters, which is a common trope in manga. Other than that, I found the story fast paced and intriguing and thing readers of teen/romance/manga would really be interested in this series!
