This is the second book in the Larkspur Library Mystery series. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy on the first book in the series and was really hoping for a sequel. I was then lucky enough to get my hands on the second book. You don't necessarily need to read the first book to understand this one, but if you're anything like me, and you find out a book is a part of a series, you want to read them in order.
Librarian Greta Plank is prepping for Larkspur’s Fall Festival which would really help the small towns economy, but a series of pranks go wrong and someone is found dead on the same day a reporter is set to arrive. Who did it and why?
You can tell Greta really loves her town and is an excellent librarian. I really love a small town cozy mystery and it makes me want to move to a small town and trade in the city life. I personally preferred the first book to this one, but that was just because we were getting to learn so much about Greta and her little quirks. The ending was wrapped up nicely and I hope there will be more in this series, at least one more!

This cute, cosy autumn vibes whodunit follows Greta, a small town librarian, as she's thrown into a murder investigation full of twists and turns. Perfect to curl up and read wrapped in comfy blankets with a glass of wine.
My only criticism is I couldn't really connect with the characters and I couldn't quite picture them. Maybe that's because this is book 2 and all the introductions happened in the previous book which I haven't read.
The pace and flow is great and all loose ends are tied very neatly at the end.

It started a little slow and I was not really drawn into the story, but later it picked up speed and there were some unexpected twists and turns.
All in all I had some enjoyable time with this cosy mystery and I can recommend it to anyone who likes the genre.

With her beautiful setting and relatable characters, Leah Dobrinska puts the cozy in cozy mystery.

Larkspur, Wisconsin is in the throes of preparation for their annual Fall Festival. Librarian Greta Plank and her friends are hard at work to ensure the town’s success when disaster strikes. A prominent member of the community is found dead on the same day a reporter is set to arrive to write an article featuring Larkspur.

This was a well-crafted mystery that kept me guessing to the end. Tension, humor, and intrigue are woven throughout the story. In the background, the slow burn romance between Greta and a certain police detective kept me engaged.

The Larkspur Library series is such a fun read! I’ll be eagerly awaiting Book 3.

This book took me by surprise. While it was a bit predictable it was thoroughly enjoyable! I loved the banter between the main sleuthing heroine and her law enforcement counterpart/love interest. It was upbeat- the drama and never ending mysteries kept me on my toes. It was an easy read and I will love to see what is next for our small town sleuth and her partner in crime.

My favourite book this year was Death Checked Out which is book one in the Larkspur Library Mystery series. I can now say that this one Mayhem in Circulation has now taken that title for me!

I adore Greta and McHenry to me their slow burn is fantastic and very well done, I much prefer a relationship that slowly builds and gives you lots of those 'butterfly in your tummy' moments rather than two pages in wham everyone's in love!

So the story and mystery of this one? Pretty darn good! plenty of twists and turns and definitely kept me entertained throughout. I find that I don't want to go into details because i don't want to spoil the story. Lets just say I didn't see that coming but I was very satisfied in the ending. I think I see where the plot for book 3 is going as well and I actually am really looking forward to it!

I took a lot of notes in this book, actually I nearly highlighted the whole bloody thing!

Their was a chapter in book one where she sat in his car with him and I was so happy that there was a similar scene in this book as well!

One of my highlights was McHenry standing outside the Library waiting for her on Sunday morning and her realising that he must have seen the texts lol. That's all I'm saying!!

So in short, Loved it, actually adored it! Can't wait to purchase a physical copy to add to my collection when it's released December 5th!

This is a cute and cozy mystery, involving Greta, a small towns librarian. Greta is thrown into the midst of a murder mystery, when a body is found on the same day a journalist appears in town. Can Greta solve this possible prank gone wrong? Or will she just get too involved to be able to see the truth?

This was a quick ready, perfect for any cozy weekend read! Especially with spooky season nearly here. The book also ended with everything wrapped up nicely, leaving me with no questions.

My only critique would be that I struggled to connect with the characters of the book, but overall, a lovely and easy to read novel.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was definitely a cozy little mystery. The way in which the FMC was fairly new to town, her interest in a local police detective, as well as her sticking her nose into police business reminded me of Jana DeLeon's Miss Fortune Series. The writing and storyline were easy to follow, and the ending wrapped up everything nicely. It was a fast, cute read that would be perfect for a beach day.
