Quick read and keeps you intrigued. A great YA Thriller. I think most reviewers who didn’t like the end, didn’t see the twist coming. Which should be what you want. Was it a little off from the rest of the story? Yes. But did I enjoy it? Yes!

thank you so much netgalley for the chance to listen to this audiobook! this is my first book by mark wheaton and it won't be my last. this book drew me in from the beginning, the spooky vibes kept me wanting more. this book makes you question if ghosts are real or if it's all in your mind. i also like that the book goes into being autistic and what that entails. this book makes you wonder how many others will be next and will they survive?!

Wow. All I can say is wow.
The beginning was slow to start, but that might just be me. Action happened almost immediately but it took me until about 40-50% of the way through to get into it. Though once I was invested, I was INVESTED. Also, the "You found me" was extremely creepy. I was leaving the gym at one point and it said it and uh. Wow.

It is senior year for Rebecca “Bex” Koeltl and she is just trying to make it to the finish line that is graduation. But when not one but two of her schoolmates die of sudden and, frankly, quite suspicious circumstances she takes it upon herself to look into what is going on. Bex learns of an experiment in which, in an effort to uncover if humans can truly believe in ghosts, subjects were made to believe they had a relative they did not and began to be haunted by those very same fictional relatives. She sees an uncanny connection between the deceased teens in their final days and this experiment. When her classmates sends her proof of this theory shortly before his own tragic demise, she knows the race is on to uncover the truth before she is next victim.

OOOOHH GUYS! This one is good. It gave me creepy vibes all throughout. And the twist at the end is so satisfying. I also really low-key like an ending that isn’t too neat and clean and this one definitely met that. I highly recommend for something looking for a YA spooky season read!

The perfect addition to any young adult collection looking for neurodivergent representation. "Who Haunts You" is a fast-paced young adult mystery/horror that keeps readers hooked through several twists that makes it impossible to turn off the audio. The ending will leave readers surprised and left wanting a little more. Great length for reluctant readers and engaging where students will keep turning the pages. I will be purchasing this title for my library.

As if being a senior in high school isn’t hard enough….suddenly seniors start dying off.

Bex has decided that these unrelated instances might actually be related after all. Not only are these deaths related but there is also a paranormal event that each of these people experienced leading up to their deaths. They were haunted by long-dead relatives that their own family say never existed in the first place.

When Bex is visited by her own ghost, she decides that she has to figure out what is going on before she’s next.

I thought this was a really original story. Super creepy. The narrator did a great job. And the ending definitely left me hanging and wanting for more….

I absolutely enjoyed this thriller by Mark Wheaton following our diverse cast of characters as the haunting death toll climbs at the local high school. It was interesting having a neurodivergent character Rebecca as the main character and seeing everything through her eyes and thought process.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a spooky, paranormal, thriller with a historical psychological touch.

This was my first time reading a horror book and it was a great time! It’s a fast pace, short horror book, really well plotted. I listened to the audiobook version and the narrator has a way to tell the story that really goes well with the vibe of the book and can be really creepy.

The story was not what I had imagined, it was weird, intriging and confusing sometimes but really interesting and you get invested really fast. Also the representation of autism is well done and not cliché and Bex was a great main character to follow.

My first ever audiobook, it was really enjoyable. The book had me hooked from the first chapter. I also read the digital copy of the book alongside listening to the audio for Journey's home.

The book has twists and turns, but the ending had me completely hooked on how the lead character without giving away too much, had connected the links between other characters and those they believe they are being haunted by. The ending had me sit back to digest everything I had read in the final chapters and it was such a good conclusion and had me wanting to read more by this author in the future.

It was such a good 'read'/listen. Highly recommend.

Who Haunts You completely blew me away, I never knew what twist was going to happen next and nothing was predictable. I also loved the neurodivergent representation and it was so refreshing to see how skilfully and accurate it was written. I always love an unreliable narrator and I thought this especially worked well with this story and it had me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend to horror fans.

I was invested in this book. I love a good haunted story, but you know what I don't like? A bait and switch. And that's what this book was. I had a sneaking suspicion around chapter 10/11 only to have my fears confirmed later. Some might call it a twist...it wasn't. It was a simple switch-a-roo.

I went in for what I thought was a straight up haunted/paranormal storyline with neurodivergent representation, but instead came out with a psychological horror....😑🤬

Wow, what an absolutely incredible surprise of a read! This YA supernatural and psychological thriller/horror novel took me on a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. With no particular expectations going in, I was blown away by the creative fusion of the supernatural and psychological elements. It's a perfect choice to kick off spooky season.

One of the most striking aspects of this book is the way it explores the psychological effects of not being believed. The fear and helplessness that stem from experiencing events that others deny, regardless of their supernatural or mundane nature, are truly horrifying. The novel delves deep into the emotional and psychological toll of being dismissed by those around you, making it easy to relate to the protagonist's struggles.

Think about it; we've all been in situations where someone didn't believe us or turned against us based on rumors or false accusations. This relatable theme of doubt, mistrust, and disbelieving is masterfully woven into the story. The book manages to take this fear, which resonates with all of us, and adds a supernatural twist to create a compelling thriller.

I listened to the audiobook, and with its duration of under 5 hours, I couldn't put it down, finishing it in less than a day. The narration by Annalee Scott added an extra layer of creepiness to the story, especially with the spine-tingling delivery of the phrase "You Found Me."

In conclusion, this novel's expert blend of psychological tension and the supernatural make it a must-read for fans of the genre. It's a thought-provoking exploration of fear, mistrust, and the relentless determination to uncover the truth, all set against a backdrop of paranormal intrigue. I got chills down the spine. This book is great! You never quite know what is true or not. The book heavily uses the narrator to show that she may not be the most reliable. So it keeps you guessing right up to the end. The way the autor describes Rebecca’s autism feels incredibly genuine and makes some jokes at how they are typically depicted which really made me smile. I would really recommend this book to anyone in high school or anyone interested in horror!

I guess I'm the odd one out, because most of the reviews are glowing. I really wanted to like this. I liked the autism rep (I am on the spectrum). The narrator was really good. But I felt the story just dragged and dragged and I could not get into it or care about anything happening. This four hour audio book felt like it was fourteen hours. Obviously, a ton of people loved it, but it just wasn't for me.

This was a quick listen, and had me listening nonstop. I was hooked and wanted to find out what would happen next. The psychological factor and the possibilities raised there had me invested, but I feel like there was a lot of things that didn’t quite add up. Controlling outside factors in a proper study is notoriously difficult and the outside factors here were huge hurdles to make this plot happen. It was still a good spooky story that makes me glad I’m not back in high school ✌🏻

Rebecca is a high school senior that is just trying to make it to graduation. When three of her classmates die, one after the other, she is the only one that seems to find it suspicious. And that they all looked terrified in their final moments. As she digs, she starts seeing things. Is this her neurodivergent mind trying to cope with everything, or is there something more sinister happening?

What a great read for the month of October! Who Haunts You is a YA horror novel that met all the expectations of the genre. I thought the horror moments, especially the car scene, were great and left me questioning what was going on. I feel as though this book would be horror more for the younger in the age range, probably 12-15, and that the upper ages wouldn't find it quite as scary. I also thought it had a nice, steady plot that was similar to some of my favorite thriller novels, so I feel as though this book is a great crossover for someone who is looking to get into horror but isn't sure where to start. I loved the diversity rep in the book and thought the author did a great job creating a believable neurodiverse character that was a breath of fresh air. I didn't love the ending of the book, but that was no fault to the author and just my own personal taste. Overall a great read, especially for spooky season!

I was so pleasantly surprised by this novel! I had no idea what to expect and still, I was surprised until the very last word!

So much delicious attention to detail, immersive writing, and twists and turns from beginning to end. I found so much of myself in Bex and loved her determination! The premise, while simple in the synopsis, is far more detailed and outstanding! I couldn't stop reading! This YA novel does supernatural/psychological thriller so perfectly and with ease that puts others to shame. A perfect representation of the genre that leaves me wanting so much more.

Annalee Scott is incredible! The novel and characters were all brought to exquisite life through her meticulous and dedicated work. She truly made the novel all the more entertaining and enthralling!

Would absolutely devour a sequel (esp. with Scott's narration again!)
